- The Fantastic Four have emerged victorious in their battle against the Mad Celestials, but the victory is bittersweet for Valeria who is envious of the attention her older brother, Franklin, is receiving. As the team begins to rebuild after the destruction caused by the battle, Franklin and Galactus have a conversation about the end of the universe. Later we return to the place that started it all, the Interdimensional Council of Reeds, where an unlikly survivor appears from the destroyed remains. Doctor Doom wakes up and here, he can rebuild...

The team debuted in The Fantastic Four #1 (cover dated November 1961), helping usher in a new level of realism in the medium. It was the first superhero team created by artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby and editor/co-plotter Stan Lee, who developed a collaborative approach to creating comics with this title.

This is, hands down, my favorite channel! Rob has the best voice to go to sleep listening to. With that being said, I can't count the times I stayed up watching more videos than I intended to watch. Rob has a wonderful way to explain the stories I love. I am eternally grateful!

One of the greatest runs in comics, maybe the Avengers run is better in it's scope.
i hope Hickman writes a lot of comics for Marvel, he is the best writer ever, his world building his, his far sighted story's and so much more.

I've always liked the relationship between Valeria and Doom by the way she is named after Dooms mother she used to be a creation of her brother who discovered in an alternate reality that he had a half sister by Doom and Invisible woman . So when he came back he created her into existence by way of wishing a pregnancy upon his mother with Valeria Doom was overjoyed at this and Literally Franklin Richards was his favorite person in the world but Reed Richards was adamant that Valeria was his child. So Doom never took a father role with her but she called him Uncle. Though technically in the original story she is genetically his without ever touching Invisible woman. In newer stories it is left unsaid but Valeria has always had a closer relationship with Doom.
She’s not named after his mum. She was Cynthia von Doom. She’s named after his first love

Great video! I had a silly thought: in order for the space station to be directly above the Baxter building, it would have to be in geo *stationary* Earth orbit (not merely geosynchronous) and the Baxter building would have to be located on the equator.
Seeing this story makes me scared for how watered down they make Doom in the MCU
ditto, doom can be the most complex character they have. the worst enemy and best ally. a good actor could play him for a long time and as such complexity to the MCU.

Check out the Immortal Hulk comic that showed the next universe with Hulk being that new cosmic force. It was truly horrifying. But it also has aliens so bizarre that you can’t really relate to their universe. So I think that’s the main problem.
Definitely could. We could see what sorta heroes are defending the earth in the distant future. Like that one line in DC Superman 1 million and the future justice league. I just think its a little unnecessary because we have stuff like 2099. Not sure if we can keep digging into the future like this just yet.
There's Earth X future dystopian alternate story by ALex Ross and Jim Krueger with john Paul Leon published years ago. Franklin Richards is Galactus. Lots of cool moments on that series.

Anything Doom is amazing. Also, I just want to see Superman exposed to enough red sun energy that he can get a tattoo. I think a Trinity one shot where they get matching tattoos at the end in places not visible (good luck Wonder Woman) would be so good.

Dooms been a god *twice* too. Both times taking the power of the beyonder/s. I'm old enough to have read and collected the first secret wars, but wasn't around for the newer one. Pity, it's a great story too.

So, I've had a question for several years that has never been adequately answered. How did he go from Dr. Doom to Uncle Doom in his relationship with Valeria? I seem to remember an issue where Reed and Susan allow her to go for a weekend sleepover in Latveria. Doom helps her with her homework and then they have ice cream. Seems a little odd to allow your arch nemesis to babysit for you.
Doom helped Reed and Susan during her pregnancy with Valeria I believe.
@@charlestyner8631 Exactly this. She's named after Doom's love interest. It's a combination of him helping her be born, the name, and the fact she's on par with him and Reed that has Doom have the relationship with her. It doesn't stop him from doing bad things if he gets the urge though.
Well, Doom had swore that he would defend Valeria with his life and Reed knows that Victor was dead serious about that. If anybody tried to harm her, that poor SOB would be lucky to have a quick death at that point because Doom would rain any and all sorts of hell down on them.
On a scale of 1 (Beak) to 10 (The Beyonder), where would Franklin Richards, Blue Marvel, and Dark Phoenix be? I run into this issue a lot when trying to scale all of these 'most powerful ever' characters.

The beard is not itchy after you start brushing and cleaning it. I grow one each winter so I have some facial warmth.
Once it passes an inch it stops curling in on itself and easy to brush down from the skin.

I never saw Doom as being powerful enough to destroy Celestials, at least base Doom without stealing some other being's power
If we get a remastered full story can it include Infinity? If I recall correctly the last full story skips over those events during Avengers and New Avengers even though they do tie-in.
