Honestly impressed. It takes real engineering to make a car so weak as to get a zero star crash rating without also handling like an actual pool noodle.
Have just bought this one last week because of this fantastic Zero rating video; the original feeling to drive the car makes me thrill back to "the good old days"!
I am not an expert in hitting test, but all the airbags are opened, right? How do you calculate the protection level of the people inside? Also, the AEB is perfect in every test in this video. How a zero star conclusion arrived? Just curious.
dummys have sensors to estimate how much a person wouldve been injured, and the pole test was atrocious, the roof should not crumble like that and the amount of intrusion was too much probably other reasons too
When this crash test gets compared against ones of cars that got over 4 stars such as the Mazda 3-HB 2023 and VW Polo 2020, they look very similar, and personally I think that the MG GT actually did even better than the Polo on the side pole test. I invite you all to compare these crash tests lulz

how bad u r. this car has 6bags. compare with cars made 7yrs ago. its safety rate is.ot bad. the ironic thing is some cars like Mitsubishi asx ford feista whose Ancap rate is achieved 5yrs ago actually is lower than mg5. the reason cause mg5 is not passed test thanks to the way of test is changed

MG5 model is the original China Domestic Market for this unit. The MG5 you are referring to is the Roewe i5. SAIC Roewe i5 is badged as the MG5 Sedan for export abroad while the SAIC MG5 is badged as the MG GT for export outside of China.
As shown in the video i obviously see no Zero stars here if you compare it to many cars took five stars its approximately the same results -no dummies broken head or legs -car dashboard and front still far away from driver and passager -front wall crash and side crashed shows that the front door didn’t even get a dent - side piller crash even volvo had the same results -airbags opened in the meantime -car cabin still in one peace - no fire symptoms - seatbelts work perfectly - the airbags pointed the driver face exactly Compare it with some toyota cars or Americans which got 4 stars the driver dummy head went out between the opened door and the car piller So i think this test must get 4,5 stars and the results report are fake and biased
You don't know that your head won't break but your spine will split, especially your neck bone causing instant death. Learn biology first! This is clearly zero star for a reason the people in the rear seat can be dead from broken spine and neck.
@@videljsemtevcera170 if this was right why then they don’t show results on dummies and share it with public and see behind scenes, then buyers may compare the same car category they interested in and check easily the results beside there is no more confidence in market, they have to raise the transparency because consumers has nothing to do with conflicts of interest between those authorities and car manufacturers, if all cars put in same crash conditions exactly without being biased so they must show us the dummies after each crash otherwise all what i have said in my first statement is what we see only
