Quite different from what it used to though - but I guess that's evolution for you. I've played since the classic late beta stages (I had a preorder box with a code for beta test) - stopped no lifing on it after the Cataclysm nerfed its own instances, dropped it right before Firelands. Resumed during Throne of Thunder. Stopped again a couple of weeks after the opening of Highmaul. Returned by the end of 6.2 - lived through the painstakingly long and boring 6.3 in its entirety through 7.1.5 - I stopped like a day before Nighthold. Returned in 7.3. Been playing again fully since then. Started no lifing again this month. Probably will stay for the whole 8.0 BFA experience - burn myself out playing too much and return later. It's been really on and off since Cataclysm. All this to say - yes it's still a great game, and fortunately for me it tends to drain you a little less into playing it for entire nights.
@Salman Hussam H. Linjawi Honestly I'm not subbed at the moment but I disagree. I've had a blast with my new Dark Iron Fury Warrior. And I mostly RP regardless these days so actual content is of little relevance to me as long as I get a lot of land. And the land in BFA is breathtaking. Nah really, I get the boredom from the World quests and the distasteful loot system, but it actually has good content in droves. The dungeons are awesome - didn't play much M+ this year but I guess this is as good if not better than it was in Legion. The raids I can't speak for since I never even stepped into one in BFA. The PvP is ... not in a great spot but it's decent for casual play. Just don't try to grind a proper rank it's gonna drive you nuts in the current meta. There's warfronts - and Islands which are cool too, not counting the weekly events such as Timewalking ... Nah really, even though I've dropped BFA for Classic it's not bad at all. Will go back to it to keep RPing with my guild, but even though I prefer Classic in many aspects, BFA is not a bad game at all. But the game can be as good as it can and still feel hollow if you don't get that community to interact in a good way like in Classic. I'll hope they'll draw the right conclusions from Classic looking onward and try to rekindle that community feeling. Then and only then will the current game regain its shine. Even if the content isn't objectively as good.

The first expansion I and my older brother played back in 2010. I just quit my kindergarden and they had a day program for the kids and their families. My bro got sick after playing football with the other kids' older bros and while I stayed there for the night, he went home and while having fever, he had Wotlk installed. He had to leave the PC on during the night for it to complete lol. The next day when I got home, we played this masterpiece of a game for the first time.

Yeah it's a very sweet and dear memory of many people's childhoods and days of youth, honestly i never got to play this expansion, but i feel so nostalgic somehow when i see this haha, i mean i've seen old wow videos where i see players log in into the Lich King expansion and yeah it trully felt unique.
@@TheJcjonesacp Wow i didn't know that was possible, i am currently playing the expansion into a private server called Warmane and i am trying to explore the game in itself.

The best expansion released to date, the worst mistake made by Blizzard was killing Arthas so soon, they should have lengthened his story a little longer because after this patch WOW gradually lost its grace, I still play but not with the same joy from the time of this expansion, the theme song of this login screen gives me goosebumps to this day, especially at the 7:25 minute since I heard the first time years ago.
+David Smith You can still have them, and for free. Nostalriusbegins is a vanilla wow server, and Excalibur is a BC server. Both mimic the game almost perfectly. Free to download, free to play.

6:00 best part hands down
Comme mon père avant moi, je dirai un jour à mon enfant "tu vois, ça c'est de la musique".
Best login screen and theme ever.
.... and thus it begins again. The golden era (expansion) of World of Warcraft.
Какая ностальгирующая мелодия кайф просто )
8:09 that melody. Why do I recognize it? I can remember a fully fleged music piece somewhere in the game. ???
2022: the wotlk widows are happy with the announce of wotlk classic
Wrath & Vanilla. The best times I've ever had in WoW.
David Smith lol
+David Smith You can still have them, and for free. Nostalriusbegins is a vanilla wow server, and Excalibur is a BC server. Both mimic the game almost perfectly. Free to download, free to play.
+JP Hill It's just not the same, man.
Best expansion ever
I miss this wow so much! In my opinion wrath of the lich king was the best expansion of World Of Warcraft!
I can still hear the dragon
Nostalgia, man...
7:30 most playyed, i see u all are men of culture aswell
Still listening to this masterpiece in 2020
Take me back to LK D: I wanna go back
6:08 though, sounds like you're getting ready for a great adventure
The best intro of any expansion of wow!!!
