I like the idea of hard-science when it comes to Sci-fi fire arms like how “Blasters” like from Star Wars and Warhammer 40k don’t shoot lasers but particle beams, while ballistic weapons fire solid projectile that can reflect off certain surfaces.

@@D2_Papaya *WOKE RESPONSE, READ AT YOUR DESCRETION* Actually the California gun laws are like that because of the NRA and Reagan. Read up on the history of the Black Panthers if you're curious.
The shorts are really creative and well produced! Having a main video dedicated to recapping a season of shorts is smart since not all of your fans may watch YT shorts.
I’m really proud of you for doing something you had a strong interest in. You absolutely nailed this mini series and I can’t wait for more. Your mini animations have always been a treat even as far back as “shovel time!”. Keep up the great work J.
I love this as someone outside of the US (UK) learning about firearms. The bit where you're like "Yeah, no, I shouldn't have done this in the show, sorry" convinced me this was pretty damn good.
While I understand that there may be *some* mistakes in the video itself, I think it's great that there's now a fun way to learn about guns as a game dev, as well as the comment section having some mentions of other details not mentioned.
8:46 Correction: The true nickname of “The Gun That Won The West” belongs to the Colt Single Action Army (SAA) revolver chambered in .45 Long Colt which was mass-produced by Colt & Co. during this era. This nickname was popularized by the showman and bison hunter Buffalo Bill, who had traveled around telling stories about the gun's divine accuracy. The SAA was one of the first commercially successful revolvers that was readily adopted by the US Army, Navy and later on Marine Corps. It is likely that the error of the Winchester 1873 assuming this nickname comes from the fact that both guns were introduced in the same year, were widely popular in the frontier and can both be abbreviated to Model 1873 (for Winchester) or M1873 (for Colt as a military designation).
NGL I love these little shorts cuz I'm a little bit of a gun nut, and I can share these to my friends to give them a fun and funny way of learning more. Can't wait to see you cover more!
The spas used in the 10th autism does (as far as I know) not normally come with the big hook on the stock and it was (supposedly) meant for shooting out of vehicles or something of the sort, being that it was originally meant for the cops. I would assume it didn't catch on very much but I reckon it be a neat subject for one of the future episodes! :3
@@Katkitter I believe they were all initially shipped with the hook, but most people ditched it because it was fairly superfluous. They’re quite rare nowadays.

Hey you should talk about Hyperburst guns. Such as the G11 and AN-94. The concept is gun sprays a burst of bullets so fast it feels like one shot. But in reality fires multiple shots quickly to increase hit chance.
fragmenting ammunition is technically not a war crime as it doesn't expand, usually they are solid brass and break apart on impact, instead of expanding
Reposting one from the original viewing, but 4. Well I agree with everything said here, this little issue is never going to fully go away as clip has become synonymous with magazine as a form of slang. I can only assume when people were making the switch from clips to magazines in the old bolt actions the term just kinda stuck. At the end of the day as long as you can infer what the person is asking for, you should be fine. Oh, and people don't need to act like Bangalore when this happens in conversation. Being right is nice, being smug and talking down to correct them just causes issues. Edit, we live in the age of the Kel-Tec PR57. Clips are back. 5. Suppressors can get to Hollywood quiet when you use ammo designed to work with it, and with the smallest of bullets we virtually eliminate the sound. The sound of the action would be louder than the actual firing. This is why some special pistols exist that don't cycle at all, and in turn don't make any noise with the right set up.
Small recommendation that I'm not sure you experimented with yet. But have you thought about adding a bit of eyebrow movement when talking? I think it might add a bit more emotion when necessary. thanks for the vids as alway!
I could be wrong here but I'm pretty sure that the Geneva convention actually bans the use of soft point ammunition in warfare not so much hollow point. And while they are both very similar in at least function I don't believe they are entirely the same thing.
