See how people respond to a proper tune crafted by a talented musician.
Beautiful stuff
Yeah, and no autotune Bullshit😅🙏
This song is a stone cold masterpiece.
He is as good as the people he grew up listening to.
100% agree! I feel this apprentice will become the new boss one day!
Different gravy 🎶
He really really is, he belongs in the same category as them all. Legend. ❤
This man is going to save the music for the next five years.
Foals have already got that ;)
him and his band...
very specific time frame
He already saved it with this song.. it's a fucking anthem for this generation
Yes he is
'But I would hit him in a heartbeat now' great lyric which alot of people can relate to.
Older you get the wiser you become. 43 year old ex raver and rocker. Top tune, top lad.
who do you want to hit bro?
its the following lines that do it for me. lads a genius straight up
@@andrewtregoninghe's literally a knockoff Bruce Springsteen lmao 🤣 imagine thinking he's a genius hahah 😂
@@NellyGandhellabet you’re fun at parties mate. If that’s the case, AM are a rip off strokes, reytons are a rip off AM, interpol and joy division the list could really go on. He was heavily influenced by Bruce and he’s openly said that. Nothing wrong with it. Don’t hate the player hate the game buddy. You will find this with every single band. No band has no influence from the past.
This song gets better and better the more you invest in it.
I wish I was 20 years old today.
I really hope Sam can keep it up, keeping the wave going won't be easy but he is one of the truest talents of the last 20 years.
Real music.
One of the best songs ever. Seeing this live is an experience
Watched him at Newcastle United ground on the Saturday and I can tell you he was amazing!! One of the best concert I’ve ever been too!!! Amazing!! ♥️🤩
Your first concert yeah? 😂
@@mikenorris7866 think you need to learn what an opinion is mate
Will Be 72 next May - first gig was 69 - Stones - Free gig in Hyde Park… so seen a few gigs / concerts in my time - but last Friday at long last getting to see the Bonnie lad North Shields was up there with the very best … perfectly executed and sounding even better his recordings - great crowd & atmosphere on the night … long may you continue Sam - your already a Geordie & National Treasure 🖤🤍
I’ve seen some of the biggest and best bands in the entire world, this was the most special gig of my life! Cheers Sam lad!
Incredible watching Sam live this weekend just gone. Serious case of festival blues after seeing this. Take me back!
What a masterpiece of a song. Brilliant. Timeless.
Thank you Sam Fender for saving music… you’re all awesome. Smash Leeds tonight.
Middle of the road music. He’s far from saved music 🤦♂️
@@cava-g3mthank-you. Someone else agrees. If this dude was around even 10-12 years ago he'd be a paying customer.
Saving music 😂
@@cava-g3mthank god. not just me that thinks he’s one of the most middle of the road generic artists out atm
Get back to Celina Dione !!
Amazing, new discovery for me, this song & performance is absolutely epic
I was here and I'm telling you nothing can justify the brilliance in Sam's performance, every time I hear this it gives me the same chills I received when I was there. Thank you Sam ❤
Had a hunch he was going to be huge. He's going to be bigger eventually.
You trying say Sam’s put weight on like?
@@leeturner8023 Nah fame.
@@leeturner8023massive 😂
@@gibbylit88 The OP didn’t get onto the joke. Clearly he is German.
Alright Simon Cowell
The best I've heard in years. Unbelievabley talented. Go on sam lad
This was just amazing live I’m so glad I went
Thank you, been looking for my next band - this is the guy
love the riff on the scale he does on old man at 2:38
I heard this song then went and listened with the lyrics and cried as I listened, for various reasons. Amazing song.
Grow up
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 One for each of them. Brilliant!!!
Absolutely fantastic, Sam you definitely got what it takes mate , too man 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
It sucks how under appreciated this gem of a human is in America right now… wake up, he’s the voice of a generation!!!
Trouble is... America heard this year's ago, it was Bruce Springsteen, who this kid copies very well.
@@El-Tel63-Terry.🙄 You probably like rap where they all copy each other. Bruce is one of Sam's idol's but don't say Sam copied him because he has a similar style. You could say that about any music or movies. Such a simple way of thinking. Congratulations 🙄
@staytrue5307 Do shut up, you are probably just a kid, it's all been done before. Fender unashamedly rips off Springsteen, he's his idol.
Rap music... 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@El-Tel63-Terry. You need a hobby. This one is sad. I'm muting you now. You bore me.
This was my 3rd time seeing him. First time at reading, Wembley and then this performance. This was absolutely incredible. Roll on reading 24
Song brings me so much emotions. Growing up in poverty ❤️
Que coisa fantástica, da nem pra expressar a emoção de ouvir essa música!!
Such an anthem !
Masterpiece. Really is that simple. Gives me goosebumps and brings emotions to the surface every time. It's a beautiful pain. ❤
brilliant album. pure bruce springstreen vibes ... and his album is wicked. And I am getting into his first one.
Absolute classic. Lovely and punchy also for a telly mix :D
The sax player is a legend... Sam's OK as well..😂 ...... what a group
The sax take the song yo another level❤
One of my favorit songs ever
Was incredible seeing Sam live, crowd were fuckin awesome too
This guy got talent!
Actually all band is superb!
Bet he’s made many people tear up with his songs ! All meaningful!
Absolutely brilliant Song! Well done kid
And all hid band members are in their element! Pure joy
Beautiful Song And Performance....Thank You Bye JeanFrancois 🙂
What
Best part of seeing him live was the BRASS! The kick of those saxes and trombones is incredible
fav song!
So good
It just connects
This song will stand the test of time
"Luck came and died round here" This guy understands how it feels to be 17 years old. Not quite a boy nor a man. Caught in-between two stages of life. Great track. Brilliant crowd participation too. 🇮🇪🇪🇺
Goosebumps
What. A. Song.
Hey!!🎉 i like that he jumps.
Fuck I've gotta see this guy live.
💕Thank you for this Song 17 going under is Unacceptable. We must do Everything to Help Our Chilren.
(Rockin Relevant Song!!!)
Such a genius Sam!
amazing as always
Just ❤
Great job my friend!
Just wow
Twice as much Sam Fender. Extra value.
Blood Red Rose have done an amazing cover of this great song. So nice to have a fresh sound around, about time too.
That's when a real song by a real artist gets it's respect.
This is magical
Been hitting the gym 👌🏻💚
He is so good incredible
J'adhère 👍..
Nice voice
Man that drummer is having the time of his life
That line just hit me so hard as a girl - 'I was far too scared to hit him... but I would hit him in a heartbeat now'
I love this🥲💌
Hehe 🙄😊 I happen to be first here . Jus need some company down here . Sam Fender is awesome jus came here after google came up with article as I am very much intvested in his music these days ❤
this is so fucking good
❤
If I was under 25 I’d be worshipping this lad.
2:33
🎵👍👍👍
Sorry thumbs down by mistake
Brill...
He Dances.
and they said the electric guitar is dead
Good to see Lewis Capaldi on the drums
I'm irish, and he's not under rated here..he's super ❤one of the best song writers..I just don't know how some singers who sing the same versus of songs over and over and it takes 5 people to write a song with the same bloody Hold em Texas lyrics..
A prayer for the lad at 1:03 that has that bird on his shoulders 🙏
😂😂😂 fs... legs of steel😂
What does it mean?
Samuel from sam, correct?
the right girl on 2:33 is an absolute beautiful human being
I feel like he should already be getting inducted into the hall of fame and he's only just started ....
People and their damn phones out.
Everyone is together in a hymn how is that possible everybody knows what is it about..?
Does he know everybody in the audience, like for real?
By name?...
The difference between an artist like Sam Fender and one like Jack Antonoff is that Sam honors his idols while also adding something new. Antonoff just rips off Bruce Springsteen with soulless imitation. This song - while certainly paying tribute to Springsteen - has its own sound and its own soul. Great track.
Is that johnny Marr ? 😳
Dude at th-cam.com/video/hM0giyIWOH4/w-d-xo.html must be thinking: "Damn, not only our generation having diamonds of music ..."
I wish those kids would put their phones down…
Geordies.
Esa cancion es de putamare
All the single Moms crying in the crowd lol.
Good tunes but cannot get a word he says.
The Killers-esque tune!
Song doesn't work as well played in a lower key
Im soo disappointed of the crowd. Reading used to have such a nise crowd
I was there Friday you’re right crowd was such a huge let down.
It's because teens prefer to listen to rap these days, unfortunately.
@@willhall7556Oh man this is such a boomer comment, I'm sorry.
Music is to be enjoyed in any variety whether it be rock, jazz, classical, indie, hiphop, rap, R&B, blues, post-punk, pop, chamber pop etc.
Just because you have an incredibly narrow restriction set on your own musical taste doesn't mean others should. Rap and hiphop are both wonderful genres to enjoy IF you ignore all the commercial garbage. Perhaps consider widening your musical reach than just rock, you may actually find something you enjoy:)
leeds always had the better crowd; even sam fender commented on it
That’s not a Japanese Mustangs
D G C G
Such a great tune, but that crowd is so weak. Reading is always disappointing atmosphere wise, feel like most of the crowd are there for that precious tik tok video rather than living in the moment :(
Seventeen going under at glasto last year was phenomenal
Yeah atmosphere was shocking. Shame because he might never headline again and he deserved a better crowd.
I was there last night. It was a very very young crowd. Don’t think half of them know who he was. But Glasto crowd is older. Was still amazing gig tho.
Seen him at Newcastle and he was amazing! Definitely would see him again!!
The more south Uk crowds are the worse.
Leeds was much better, north is always elite.
If he can just stay off the coke and hit the natural shit (herb) we’ll have one of the greatest ever
