I love the way you just rolled with the punches, Anne! You're so creative and you just figured how to make it work out! You decorated the cakes so well they looked good enough to eat! Thanks for sharing the "how to" with us. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Keep on keepin' on!
Enjoyed the video - was fun! Your apron w/the blue turkey looks great w/your blue dress. I like the faux food & how you decorated them ... i would like to put this on my to do list. Thanks Ann!
Oh I love your pantry cakes and my favorite is the one in the big mold. You created a sweet centerpiece with the aged cheesecloth and sprinkles of flour and greenery. Very prim and I love it! Thank you Anne for sharing this ❤
Love them Anne! You did great! I’ve never made them. I might have to now. Looks like fun! Thanks for sharing and Happy Thanksgiving to you and the fam! 🤎🦃
Anne, you are so funny! I think the pantry cakes are looking good with the decorations! The first video I came across of yours was you making a primitive fruit centerpiece. I laughed so much and it made my day! Love your cooking videos! I think I’m going to search for the fruit video and watch it again😄 ♥️
Oh I love the big cake...that mold is beautiful!! They r all suppose to look old so u did good Anne...u can also brush them with coffee grunge after they r dry makes them even darker but I think u did great!!
I made these professionally for 5 years. I made brownies too. You need to add alcohol. A teaspoon or two. Or add cheap vanilla to your dough..has alcohol in it but sometimes you have to add alit cuz this stuff does mold and fast. Sometimes I get mold even with using alcohol. You did a great job! It's normal that nothing sticks...I glue stuff back into their holes later. I love baking so I had a good time making stuff. Happy Thanksgiving Anne..🦃🌽🥧🍍
Turned out pretty good in the end, Anne. Very prim looking. Love the way you accented your cakes with greenery and cranberries. Interesting turkey apron! Will you be making the turkey tomorrow?

It’s Pashmina by Ben Moore but I have two kitchens…. The other one was burgundy last year but I decided I didn’t like it and now it’s black and gold. Hard to keep up with my color choices… Altho this one kitchen has been this color for the past 4 years now which is a record for me.

Hi Barbara! Tom gets up early and puts it in. But yes, we make the meal. It’s actually good lol
ENJOY!
You can add cinnamon and other spices to your dough and the white is the salt in the dough
Oh that’s why it was white!
I had so much fun watching you make the cakes . I think they turned out good . Your added touches made them perfect.
Hi Anne I think your pantry cakes look great. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family 🦃
Thanks Deborah! Happy Thanksgiving!
What temp? Also I added cinnamon, nutmeg ect. Essential oils. And a little brown craft paint.

Dust them off a little clear spray lightly and dust with cinnamon if you want the old dusty look A for effort🎉
Thank you! I just found out that Tom had turned the propane off on the oven so they didn’t get baked!
@@AnneClay so sorry, you did them up great though

Thanks Kristine! I have a new one in mind already.
Okay Anne, After watching your video, I ordered some brown air dry clay. I’ll let you know how it turns out… we shall see!
You painted your kitchen gray taupe? I thought it was going to be burgundy...but I suppose the gray taupe color goes all year round..🌲

The flour sprinkled on them looks like powdered sugar to me.
I thought so too! I decided against sugar so it wouldn’t attract pests.
flour sounds like good choice but it did make it look like sugar
