Now all my 'old things' feel at home - but I know from living in different places over the years that having the right pieces, the things that make your heart sing, make a place your home. I really liked Judy's idea of building her own dining table. I have to think carefully about large furniture up here and constructing a table top and then placing it on a support might be a good option.

No lie! Was reading her book when your video popped up. Beautiful condo. We talk about moving closer to our daughter and grandbaby on and off. We just love our house. Not as old as yours, but we love it. And then choosing which pieces to part with! All I know is my husband says he’s taking the Maine Horse weathervane no matter what! Well that was very interesting and is a different twist on primitive decorating. As I was listening to her, I felt like she does a lot of things the same way that I approach my primitive decorating because I too use contemporary sofas, vanities, and other elements and then add my prim pieces. It was a joy to watch and boy did I ever like all her painted pieces….my favorite color is also blue. 😃

Been buying Judy's books for many years. Love her! So wonderful to see her live! Her homes are always beautifully prim. Getting close to downsizing ourselves. It is a daunting and alittle scary to consider but definitely understand a necessary fact of life. Her condo is as wonderfully curated as her homes have been. We are all "keepers" of history and must let go and pass along these precious items for future generations. Thank you Anne and Judy for inviting us "in".

Edith and Jack;s antique red cape home burned while they were away. A lightning strike ! Neighbors saved some of their antiques but a lot was lost including her antique doll collection ! They moved to RoundTop Texas where they started collecting again but Jack got cancer and died . @@AnneClay I'm Ann had to get a new laptop !

Very modern lol it looks like she is just starting to collect lol you know that in between period, before your wallet exploded and you can’t find a place to put those 40 dough bowls you just got at an auction Ahhh the good old days when you could still see your walls! Lol! I give her two years lol! Than go back and see the changes lol! Once you start you always seem to find that one more piece you have always wanted! Lol
