Omg I love this video!!!! I swear we are a hard breed to find!!! Lol!!! I've been making Primitive crafts for YEARS now, but haven't made cakes in about that long (since prob 2015-2016)! Thankfully I wrote 2 of my fav recipes down, because the Primitive blogs I got them from are GONE, unfortunately though, I didn't write EVERYTHING down like oven temp, or any kind of glaze... One is for cinnamon rolls and cinnamon cakes that have a glazed look to them and I've been wracking my brain trying to remember, but couldn't and went to Pinterest to see if MAYBE someone else had a similar recipe and found your Vid! I did find one old recipe that called for salt and cinnamon, 1 cup of cinnamon which is a LOT even for Prim cakes, lol, and unfortunately any part that was exposed to air as it dried turned a whitish color from the salt, but the bottoms were perfectly dark brown, grrrrr... And, I had remembered one of the blog owners (Tattered Sisters, which was my FAVORITE back then, and one of VERY FEW that actually gave out the recipes and for free, thankfully!) said she removed her cakes from the tins once they started to dry, then let them dry in the oven the rest of the time bc they are so hard to get out of the pan, so I figured I'd try that with this recipe (it's not the same one) and left one cake in the tin & took the other one out, unfortunately the one I took out turned all white, but the one I left in stayed a beautiful brown, lol! I had made a bunch of fake cookies and ended up tossing them. They looked terrible, lol! So, I've been looking for an easier recipe than the one I have that is awesome, but it calls for shortening and molasses, brown sugar and regular sugar and it's not stuff I always have on hand so this recipe is one that everything is easy and stuff I always have! Thanks for this one! Prim recipes like these are hard to find! I also use a regular salt dough, but I add cornstarch and fragrance oil and make cinnamon rolls, then to glaze and drizzle I found that Gloss Medium and Varnish is AWESOME to use over loose cinnamon on the rolls as the glaze, then my FAVORITE way to add a drizzle is to use puffy paint writers (I think they're called Scribbles, they usually come in a small squirt bottle with a thin tip to write with and the paint is dimensional), it looks more real than paint and glue bc it raises up. I just find with the cinnamon, I usually have to go over the drizzle twice bc it can tend to absorb the cinnamon and turn brownish, lol, but once I go over it, it comes out great! I also make cinnamon coffee muffins with the spray insulation and then paint them with mod podge and cinnamon, then drizzle the puffy paint over the top. They look good enough to eat! Lol! And no baking is even involved! 😉 You definitely have a new subscriber here! Can't wait to see more... I also see you do other vids on van life which looks very interesting, so I'll be sticking around to see what else your chnl about. Take care, til the next one!

Thank you dear!
Beautiful ❤️
These are wonderful! I was wondering if you keep them in the tins the entire time they are drying?
I let them partially dry then removed them from the tins to finish drying.
Love ❤️
I use regular table salt and instant coffee
Does regular table salt work? I don't have any sea salt and was wanting to make some
Where can I get a written recipe for this?
