- 10,600 (5.3 D - 5.3 E)
Melanie de Jesus dos Santos falls twice on uneven bars at Paris world cup 2022.
Recorded by myself @LivieGymnastics at this Gymnastics Competition.
5.600 D + 5.300 E = 10.900
Looks like an appeal may have been granted as D went up from 5.3 to 5.6
can i just say i am so in love with how jordan is cheering her on and how the sportsmanship of gymnastics has developed and grown so well
I could be wrong but I believe Melanie trained at World Champions
@@rugbyplayer9100
Not wrong. She's moved to Houston and has been training with Simone's coaches, Laurent and Cecile. As a matter of fact, if you watch closely, it looked like Laurent really wanted to go and talk to her after her first fall, but he stood up and walked over towards Jordan.
Omg I’m heartbroken! What a shame for Melanie I can feel her pain! This gives me chills from stuttgart :(
Yeah it’s too bad Melanie is sooooo talented but she is yet to pull together the competition she’s capable of. It would be great this quad if she could finally pull it all together she deserves it
Sad this happen, but still such a huge fan! The US is root for you Melanie!!!
You have to really give her props for trying it again. Heartbreaking!
If you’re going to have a rough outing, it’s certainly better to do it now versus the world championships. She fought through which is great- shows character.
Oh, poor Melanie! Still love her! She has a beautiful spirit and gorgeous lines ❤
You got this Melanie!!!!! Go for it!!!
Melanie is a champ! She will come back even stronger 💪🏼
oh no her podium training was so good! only up from here though 💪
Such a shame, but it's her first competition back since the Olympics so the only way is up from here!
Courage !!! ❤️
You can tell Maelanie has got a lot of courage. She fought through valiantly. One day soon she'll look back on this and see a life lesson.
Mano coitada dela🌝 torço demais por ela. 🙌 No mundial vai dá tudo certo.
This poor girl. Instead of making her upgrade like crazy perhaps her coaches can work on the composition. Melanie is one of the most talented gymnasts in the world, she doesn’t need to throw a Nabieva when her focus should be consistency and form. After all she is an AA specialist.
This is what Laurent and Cecile have been trying to help her with.
No! She will bounce back👏🙌
Isn't Melanie training at SImone's gym now?
I hope she gets rid of these jitters for worlds. Her routine is beautiful. BTW, don't gymnasts have 45 seconds to remount the apparatus? She went over a minute after her first fall, but it seemed she was in no hurry to get back on.
The countdown to get back on starts when you start on your feet after a fall, she had 7 seconds left
Well it’s just gonna be worse at the Olympics …😢
That comes with international sports.
Wow...just a complete meltdown. Always been her struggle. She has amazing difficulty and great technique, wonderful balance between power, artistry, and flexibility...but just can't get that consistency down and mentally can't rise to these big occasions. She unfortunately consistently chokes in big competitions.
There was no meltdown. She conducted herself in a lovely manner. She kept her head up and remained positive and waved to the crowd in appreciation of the support. That was classy vs pouting & having a meltdown.
All that happened her was a struggle at the technical aspects & atletics. She was not the only one. We cant all perform at medal winning level. When she hits she is awesome. ❤
if you think this is a meltdown, clearly you have not seen men's tennis because there are some truly choice examples of absolute meltdowns throughout the history of men's tennis lol
J’y étais aussi
This is so sad for her 😥
She didn't have to redo the element, her hands caught the bar before she fell off. I hope she can execute her routine in a bar finals one day
I think she repeated so she could connect to the pak for .2 C.V.
😢Aw, poor Melanie. This was not her day, as she is a wonderful gymnast. Next time will be better!
Omg t😢😢😢😢😢😢
Some days are good
some days are bad
and then you get days like this...
Bad luck girl...
Disappointing. I thought her months of training in USA, a new environment where she said she needed to be in, was going to do real good for her performance.
If I recall correctly, Cecile Landi said prior to the Paris World Cup that Melanie wasn’t ready. She sure isn’t, not with this and that Beam performance. Who forced her into competing?
France has completely overhauled their WAG program ahead of Paris. They are now focusing on a centralized training environment that emulates the likes of China and Russia. Every French NT member has to split between two training centers ASIDE from Melanie who was granted permission to train in the US. Although she might not have been ready, the French team most likely wanted her to compete in France so they could gauge where she is at ahead of Worlds.
@@kristiankowalski2854
Definitely not ready mentally.
You need to CHILL. She took a one year break without any gymnasts, and only started training back in April lol let her the time to come back!
@@WorldGymnasticsMemories SHE needs to chill and stop having self-doubts and give herself time to re-energize, properly train, and then come back. Those falls and no medal at the Paris World Cup will only feed her self-doubts. She has entered many competitions. Surely she entered this last World Cup with the intention to earn a medal, not to treat it as another day at the gym. And certainly not to simply “gain experience” because she has plenty of that already as an elite senior gymnast.
@@mr.tawakal I was just answering to your comment where you stated that " her months in the USA should have been a game changer". Well change doesn't happen overnight so she needs time
Ouch
The first nabiva was already credited why did she try again lol
Ouch!
She could try a different routine construction? Different skills for example.
in podium training she did just fine with this construction .. maybe just nervous
@@gym_analysis right... I really thought she had the first one
@@gym_analysis She didn't do "just fine" in podium training at all, she had a large mistake there too. Her Inbar 1/2 + L-grip 1/1 + L-grip 1/2 is constant source of big deduction that should have been changed a long time ago.
Same as olympics same here.. i think Melanie has to work in mental side, because it not her technique, seems is in her mind...
Unfortunately I just don’t ever see her being a consistent athlete
I know and it sucks. I hate to say, Shilese too…and thats my girl
Don’t count her out. Jordan struggled with her consistently and now look at her. Something just has to click for Melanie. Something is definitely mentally going on that’s making her so inconsistent. She’s just so damn talented. I’m praying for her.
@@dayvaughnmonroe9540 shilese hit 12/12 at worlds this week. Melanie can definitely improve
@@debsteele880 well i know that now. That comment was going off her track record. But this week my girl did what we been know she could do and im proud!
