In this video i take a look at another cheap action camera from China. This one is called the W9C Action Camera. It can record at 1080p at 30fps and take 12 mp pictures. Check out the recorded footage at the end of the video for a better idea how it records.

i have the same camera , I use an app to record a video but when i download the video that i recorded , i can't play it on my phone , pls help me
By looking at the settings menu, the the chipset may be Novatek 96658 or lower Novatek number. The price is now about $38 USD now :/ so I would say to _not_ get this camera, but instead get a real Eken H9 or similar current "brand name" camera for the same price.
Thank you very much for the review, I found it really helpful and easy to understand. I found the mini instruction leaflet that came with my £11.00ish !!! camera complete rubbish, as I couldn't understand hardly any of it.. couldn't even work out which buttons I had to press to record a video and found myself getting stuck in the 'setting' feature without knowing how to correctly exit them LOL
I purchased the camera out of curiosity due to the price, and felt it was worth the gamble being that it was so cheap. I was expecting a piece of junk that would produce barely recognisable images. I personally find the quality of the images astonishing for the price!!

Battery eont charge unless plugged it to. Usb charging cord .but no matter how long i leave pluggedcon it wonf turn on unlesss i keep that charging cord plugged in. And side up/down buttons dont seem to work.anyone else gaving these issues?

can you tell me if the app myanycam on w9c supports landscape? Ie if I rotate the phone in landscape viewing it works 16/9 or only 4/3? Thanks
16:9 if i remember right...it's been a while since i had that camera...but i don't remember of any cameras that would show on the phone as 4:3
I also have a W9C and when I see properties of the files I see it records at 24Hz (or 48Hz at 720p), not 30 or 60Hz
Any suggestion to make it work at 30/60Hz?

you could use it for running but i think it will be a bit shaky. If you can spend more $... and get something like the SJCAM M20 (check the review on my channel), that one has very good video stabilization

Hello Mister, I am currently discovering this type of camera with several TH-cam videos. I discovered that there are several 4k models with the 170 degree angle like that. I'm on a project right now where I'm filming a lot with a pair of spy camera glasses with a 170 degree camera too. I would be interested to know if the 4k camera would still film when it is charging. Because the spy glasses that I use do not film when they are charging. And I would be interested to know if they can film on charge because I would like to film very long car journeys with it by putting it on my forehead. And this would allow me to film when they are charging also with the energy generator that I use in my car.

hey i have a question how about the distance betwen the camera and your phone i mean how many meters apart
2 meters, if you do more, it will disconnect. Don’t even think about using it under water, will disconnect immediately

You probably have a slow sd card. I would try a faster sd card and see if that works better

If you want good video and audio quality you will need to spend over $100
can I remove the Fisheye efect? and please make a video talking to the camera to check the quality of the microphone.

you can check sample videos at the end of the review video. You can also hear the microphone from the camera there. You cannot remove the fisheye effect

for the price, its not too bad. fraction of the price of a go pro, also fraction of the quality, but the recordings seem pretty good actually
yeah, it is very cheap. Check out my review of the Apeman A80 (posted about 2 weeks ago). That action camera has great video quality

turn on the wifi on the camera by pressing the wifi button and than the camera will give you the network and password. watch the review, i show how to do it

I have a camera that’s pretty much identical but it’s black, not silver.
Also, if the resolution is higher than 720p, the bottom part of the screen turns green and starts flickering. Might be defective but works fine on 720p and lower. Also, the speaker is a bit weird but the audio works fine when I insert it into my computer.
