I have a '21 Stelvio Sport Ti with everything noted here except the 21"wheels & the carbon. This is THE best handling SUV ever and turns in with no drama, follows your intuitions. What it isn't is an iPad on wheels, but it is a drivers machine. Yeah it's a winner.
One of the best interior features is the size and position of the infotainment screen. Usable but not huge and out of the way, out of your immediate line of sight.
Nice review, thanks. We have a 2022 Stelvio, and I actually like the exhaust note, especially when compared to the competition, meaning efficient turbocharged 4 cylinders. The best part for me is the exhaust note isn't fake. I test drove an Acura, and when you press "sport," you get an aggressive growl, which takes all of 1 minute to realize is not real. I will agree the Alfa is not quite loud/aggressive enough to match the sporty driving experience, and I have been shopping for aftermarket exhausts to see if anyone has a good solution.
Bought a stelvio veloce ti in nov 2021 and …spect it exactly as the estrema : lsp, 22 inch wheels, adaptive suspension, all carbon options, 14 speakers HK, Alcântara seats, also put the Ragazzon exhaust and loving it
Very cool to see some of the fun of the Quadrifoglio make it’s way into less expensive models. 2.9 V6 is a beast but just having the chassis dynamics probably makes it one of the most fun in the price range.
On the Alfa Web site and the features list says the Torque Vectoring Rear Differential NOT AVAILABLE on the Extrema it shows it only on the Quadrifoglio ????
The Extrema and Veloce or TI Sport can have Limited Slip Differential. It's mechanical and it's very effective. ...but or course not as much as a torque vectoring system which is controlled by software.
Beautiful car and I love the color (sucker for bright blues). Main snag with an Alfa is the lack of dealers. I live near Sacramento (metro area population 2.4 million) and there isn't one here. The nearest are four in the Bay Area. I was interested in the upcoming Tonale until I found out I'd have to drive two hours to a dealer! Great and thorough review btw.
Hi Jeff, it’s a pleasure to see you here as well, seems like we like the same cars, I recently got this Stelvio and it is so amazing. I got it in Van Nuys through true car at an astonishing msrp of 54k
Although this is all great, I really do wonder why Alfa Romeo hasn't tuned the engine ever so slightly to produce at least 50 bhp more so that it's price justifies it's power, instead of little things to add to a price, and in turn give no extra performance.
Likely some components that couldn't handle power being turned up more - whether it's the turbo, transmission, whatever. If Alfa could do more they totally would have with the 2.0L. They're kinda at the mercy of whatever Stellantis engines are available and fit the car given budget, from what we know.
The answer is NO. It's just "coating". People don't need "suspension upgrades" that really aren't. They need a HEARTIER ENGINE. The 280hp engine jump to 505hp engine is a CHASM. What they needed was a 350+ HP Engine. That's a Period at the End of that last sentence. They have gone the wrong way....and raised prices to the ridiculous level.
@@MarceloLopezJr Sales numbers involve more than the product and price. Things like the promotion and dealers count as well. Just think what Alfa could do with sufficient dealer numbers and proper advertising, something like what Hyundai does.
@@rlsedition what promos....since when in this economy have there been promos when dealers are trying to pimp MSRP as if it's a thing...go back to the lot dude...try to snow over someone else.
@@MarceloLopezJr Remind me to avoid reading anything you say about Alfa Romeo. It's all negative and mostly trash. So you think Alfa has enough dealers and proper advertising promotion, which have a lot to do with product sales?

I learned about LSDs from my cousin vinny. Anybody who’s been stuck in the mud in Alabama knows… one wheel spins, the other wheel does nothin’

Hate those wheels, why not just machine finish them Alfa? Why cut costs?
