installed mine today on a 17 dyna lowrider s. fairing is good quality but wind protection is not much different than my road warrior and it shakes pretty bad. I was riding around town thinking my headlight probably looks like its mounted to a jack hammer. overall i would not recommend this on a dyna. oh and i was missing hardware, had to go buy the four screws to hold the headlight bracket to the fairing
It looks sweet! I'm happy for you. What headlight are you rocking? I keep seeing folks with the baja designs headlight, but I don't care for the looks of it myself.
I also have a 2016 dyna (low rider) and been trying to figure out if the audio kit for this fairing will work with my bike. Didn’t know if it would work since my bike is older. Do y’all know if it’ll plug in with an older bike like mine or if there just isn’t those plugs since it wasn’t made to have the audio kit installed on it.
You guys don’t put any towels done on your front fender to protect the paint and no power tools ? Like an impact ??I do dig it . I have 2013 streetbob. Candy apple red with flake . They don’t have my paint color .
We do notice some rattle at certain rev ranges, it's unfortunately pretty common in most Dyna fairings due to the nature of the engine vibration on those bikes. Higher quality motor mounts do help reduce a bit and some folks I've seen use vibration foam to put inside their fairings. Anything to weigh it down more. Maybe some vibration dampening washers might help
@@texasfedtexasbred1803 No problem, if you end up finding anything that helps, let us know! For now we just rock it, and every so often check the bolts and make sure everything snug still. Also medium locktite every bolt
@@crooksmoto I ended up taking off the outer fairing and putting a thin foam seal on the edge where it was mostly noticeable. The sound moved around a bit but much less noticeable than before 💪🏼
I would recommend buying it from Advanblack unpainted and taking it to get painted by a professional. Their paint color never matches right and is super cheap. The fairing paint in the video is like snow white and the bike has much more of a cream white color. You’ll have clear coat chipping off in under a month. The fairing itself is nice, they just can’t get the paint right.
Thanks for the tips, we did notice a slight difference in the color. Since this bike is older we didn't know if just the age of paint made the tins appear more cream. Either way we're stoked on it for now. This bike will more than likely get a custom paint job down the road.
I did the same purchased an un painted and got it painted snake venom from a reputable painter in San Diego I believe I am the only snake venom lowrider S with that fairing any hitters out there ?
Advanblack can Fuq off, I'll never order from them again. I ordered a Vivid Black Road Glide spoiler for $350, when it arrived I realized my breather was too big for it to fit, never installed, held one piece up tot he bike. Advanblack wanted to charge a 20% ($70) restocking fee and I pay for shipping ($100) to return it! I've got it listed on Marketplace Tampa for $250 brand new in box. Expensive lesson, never again.
Lmao what world are you living in where this is a $300 fairing?!? For that price, you can get a made in China fairing off Amazon. Maybe 40 years ago this fairing would have been $300 lol. It is obviously high quality, you get what you pay for.
@2WheelPursuit every single thing in north America is sold for approximately 8x it's actual worth in today's day and age. So yeah your right, maybe not $300, more like $375-$400 bcz oh yeah, it's still made in China trash that's assembled in the USA. Just like everything else that's "made in the USA" with Chinese metals and materials 😂☠️🤦
@2WheelPursuit and no, on this day and age, you 100% do not get what you pay for lol. The $250 amazon knock off saddlemen seats....actually BETTER then the name brand shit LOL
@2WheelPursuit fun fact also, 99.9% of the fairings you see on dynas are ALL the knock off krator fairing bud. They are in fact made to a better finish than the name brand shades, fit identically and can not even be told apart. Yet again proving in today's day and age, you in fact do not get what you pay for.
I'd spent my money on it if they would make it for the Honda Rebel 1100... Mic drop
LUV this fairing so much

I just ordered one Nice to see they include wiring for the rockford speakers.
Dangggggg! looking fresh! I wanna put one on my wide glide.
I’m sold. I’ve been looking for fairing like this. Definitely looking into it
You should, It's super rad!

Look sick🤘🏼
I appreciate this video a lot. I'm looking to do the same for my 2011 FXDB
Glad the video helped! It's a great add for the bike and overall look.
Treasure valley??

Yeahh we definitely shoulda thrown a towel down! Just in case. Yeahh we use hand tools for almost everything, pry should upgrade at some point
Nothing wrong with hand tools . I mostly use ratchets and box wrenches for everything . Lol
That faring looks tits!! Like the white color dyna it looks real sharp!!!!!!!! Good job boys!!!!
Hey, question. I’m getting a nasty rattle coming from the fairing at about 3k RPM. It comes and goes. Have you had any experience with this?

Would anyone know what size/thread the screws for the headlight hinge mount tab are @19:52? My kit didn't come with any, thanks.
I'll see if I can figure out the thread size
No worries, I did the dreaded 3 trips to the hardware store and got it sorted.

Where did you get those mirrors?
They are a Harley part actually! They have them in chrome and black.
How tall are your bars and risers?
They are 10inch biltwell risers, with pullback and Thrashin mid bend bars. Total rise is about ~ 14 inches.
Nice modification, I like it. Greetings from Germany 🤙
Wish they made them for fatboy lo

2500 usd with a cpl of the "must have" options. 🤦....this a $300 product max...our world is so hopeless 😂☠️😂☠️😂
