Great line-up, wonder if they're going to play any Slayer, 13 original songs already is maybe enough to fulfill a gig but I'd expect Kerry to pick few Slayer songs to play live as a tribute to Jeff
Lol Mark Osegueda makes sense. He sounds just like Tom Araya. But clearly Kerry King was trying to rebuild a band that was "taken away from him". It's a cool song but i don't think he's adding any depth to it at this point, and that's kind of problematic. Based on how they are not talking to each other, Tom and King, and Dave Lombardo is "dead to him." There are no risks involved so why not go for something new? I don't know how "exciting" a second or third album would be. But he's certainly on his way to becoming a thrash metal Gene Simmons. He literally could try new stuff but i don't think he sees himself in that way, an "artist" lol @icankillbugs

The lineup sounds amazing, and Phil Demmel has always been a great shredder. My only concern is King’s taste leans toward more punk influenced riffs and without Hanneman laying out the song structure, King tends to always keep the same tone song after song. Still looking forward to it though!
Not 100% sure, but I believe he already did that? (not sure about the bass though...) I think I've read an interview where he stated that Jeff only came in for his leads?
@@Henry0870 pretty sure he played most bass on Slayer as well
Jeff Jeff Jeff, yeah yeah, sure he wrote the "best" stuff in Slayer. He also drank himself to death. Idolizing Jeff will not bring him back. King has plenty of kick as tracks as well. Kerry King is a bad ass guitar player and I hope that he delivers some good stuff. Think King cant solo, listen to War Ensemble, Killing Fields, sure there aren't many but neither Jeff or King are the best soloist in general. They did however fit Slayer perfectly.
Kerry king was kinda like the mascot of Slayer
The Scott Ian of Slayer!
Can't wait. If it sounds like Slayer. Fuk Yeah.🤘🤘. Would go to this Festival just to see Kerry's band. Hopefully he will pay tribute th Jeff 'Angel of Death' Hanneman. Will he be wearing the huge metal piece of chain on right leg ? Hope Anselmo isn't singer. That would turn me off.
Kerry should try to play in Exodus. LOL
the vocalist is going to be key here....
