My Freedom Grooming Review

  • This is my review of the Freedom Grooming, I have been shaving my head bald for about 20+ years. I typically use some clippers to cut it short and shave it with a Gillette Skin-guard. I grew curious of the freedom Grooming kit after multiple Facebook & Snapchat Ad’s. So my son surprised me with it for my birthday. I enjoyed it and it’s definitely something I will continue to use.

    Great video, I just purchased this and I love it. I've been shaving my head for over 20 years. I use to do the electric shavers but, at the time it wasn't much for black men. I got tired of shaving and it took too long and the Knicks at times. I use clippers for the back of my neck because it is sensitive. Great video

    Thanks for the review. You sold me on it because you aren't a paid actor. I also read the other comments and appreciate the honesty. I want it for my head as well but I think I will also use the trimmer attachment for my face. I have to use an electric trimmer to shave anyway so that I don't get razor bumps.

    That bump patrol is it! But I only use it to clear up bumps. Try using alcohol on ur neck/ head afterwards (like they do in barber shops).

    Try using the brush to apply the soap instead. It will exfoliate your skin and keep the bumps down. The black attachment is a massager, I believe. I’d use that to apply aftershave (my husband uses a lotion aftershave).

    I watched your review, I've been using various elect razors 40+ years or so (Norelco, Braun, Andis) and I was due for a new razor as my Braun started not wanting to start. The one thing I experienced was when I went to clean it for the first time one of the razor's blade popped right off (within an hour) I was upset at first, but Freedom was/is willing to give me a new shaver head.. I'll work with it for a while, at least until I need to replace. Thanks for your review.

    I've been doing homework on this I've never had a shaver but my barber does this same routine cut the high hair then finishes with the electric shaver and I've never had an issue im curious about this FG it's $30 every barbershop visit but most of the comments I've seen on various videos is it doesn't get close but my barber definitely don't use a FG and my head is smooth afterwards so I'm just making sure I'm not missing something or most of the comments are out of hate or something just making sure I'm not waisting money before I place an order

    • @KenGibson
      @KenGibson  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Honestly, it gives you a pretty smooth and close shave. What I like is the convenience and its fast. I can have a meeting at work, use the bathroom, sit on the couch, and I can cut my hair and don't have to worry about falling hair and cleaning up. My new routine is to shave it with a razor every two to three weeks. Then use the Freedom Groomer every two to three days to get rid of the stubble. My head stays pretty smooth, everyone is different. I would say try it a couple of days after your barber cut. See if it's smooth enough for you and may save you a little money. Maybe see your barber once a month and just use the freedom groomer to maintain. Lol, you don't want to leave the barbershop completely, a man needs that barber convo and atmosphere. I miss it, where I live now, we do not have those types of barershops. Thanks for reaching out take care

    This shave sucks after few months - I just had mine for 4 months and it stopped working. It's not water proof not even water resistant, the screws rust out on the shaver itself and build up humidity inside the saving mechanism. Worst money ever spend and Freedom grooming is not answering any of my emails as I am trying to cancel the recurring blade charges.

    • @KenGibson
      @KenGibson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dang that sucks unfortunately I can’t do anything about it. My review is based off my experience. I have had it for about a year and I have not experienced any of this issues you have mentioned. Maybe make a video of the poor experience you have had. Share the lack of response to your emails and images of the water damage. I know another viewer and I had an issue with the replacement blades they responded via email in 24 hours and helped us out. Sorry I am not sponsored by them so I have no pull to assist. The shaver works damn good still and I have no water damage. Yet I rarely shower with it and as of late I throw some shaving oil on my head and shave that way. I clean the shaver and blade after each use. Call them I saw this number on-line 646-323-4291.
      Have them ship you a replacement and cancel the recurring blade service. It has a warranty and you paid for it. Good Luck
