- Clive, the new member of Final Fantasy Protag Club, got invited by Cloud to hang out with Noctis at Sora "Place" to react to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Trailers.

It's funny to me that Noctis remembers his initial concept, that he was a character in the same universe as Lightning, and that he was vaguely cool.
… is that why he and Lightning were paired together during the climactic fight in NT?
@paperluigi6132 yup the their universe plus Ace were originally meant to share same deities but because of; engine issues, Versus XIII having no story direction (most of the fault is on Nomura for that),the XIII trilogy not well received internationally except for Japan, and during the XV transition the whole theme and story had to be censored and re-written for a the China release. And square wanting a mainline FF game for the ps4/XBONE console
@@zetamangads I still miss what we could have gotten with Versus 13. I may not like the original FF13 trilogy (FF13-2 Caius tho is a tragic tale I wish would not be part of the FF13 universe/story) but Versus 13 nowadays felt way too promising and interesting to be left on the cutting room floor.
@Evilriku13 I would rather not. Nomura is a guy who only cares about how his game looks rather than telling a story. He basically like Zack Synder, a visionary that makes cool scene and fights, but sucks at writing. Sure, Versus XIII had a cool premise and concept but that the thing it was nothing but pure concept and visual, my experience with Kingdom Hearts has ruined any hope that he can make something decent without making "look cool".
I'm tired of Nomura "the rule of cool" aesthetic,it not like Devil May Cry where at least it doesn't take it self seriously. Nomura wants to his game to be taken seriously and deep sure there are some silly and fun moments but those moments tends to be overshadowed but the "look how cool this action scene is".
It gets boring when it done so much and Nomura does it a lot, also try to overcomplicate something simple. Sure Kitase is the King of overcomplicating things but Nomura loves doing it too.
@@Evilriku13 The trailer for versus 13, which was released in 2008, was quite memorable.
I was fascinated by the artwork and the serious and beautiful atmosphere that combined modern Japan and the medieval kingdom.
It felt different yet similar to 13, but I liked it more than 13.
Unfortunately, the project related to 13 was ruined before the game was completed.
Nomura must have felt sorry for this, as he showed artwork with a similar concept in Kingdom Hearts 4.
Sora : the youngest brother
Cloud : the eldest brother, and overprotective of his youngest brother
Noctis : the neglected middle brother
Clive : the out of touch uncle, who doesn't have even heard of a phone but atleast he is a polite.

So, it's interesting that Sora's house has become a clubhouse where Nomura's Final Fantasy characters gather. When Cloud gets in the way, Noctis gets in the way and is ignored by the newcomer, and Sora seems to take that situation for granted. It's a pretty enjoyable show. I think it will be
I mean the idea works pretty well considering we are likely to get the entire trilogy of Final Fantasy 7 REMAKE plus maybe 1 or 2 new entries of the mainline final fantasy before we see a `Beta`, much less a demo reel of Kingdom hearts IV gameplay instead.
Hell, probably Final Fantasy 9 Remake will happen before the 3rd part of the FF7REMAKE too in that regard.
Very least i rather treat it as the canon reason where loads of Square enix characters are rotting at as they keep getting dragged back into even more IPs. Wouldnt be amazed if Final Fantasy 15 gets re-released on the PS5 in a new HD version to justify a 70 dollar price tag, but also they decided to sneak in those 3 cut DLCs to scalp together more revenue and push for more time to develop FF7Remake part 3 & Kingdom Hearts IV.

Eventually a Dissidia like game could pop up once more
hopefully they will go full AAA with it and won't stop until every FF character is brought to life there
I don't really like that Metaverse nonsense or stuff like that but for FF id make as many exceptions as it takes
an FF game where all the other worlds and characters exist would be amazing and it would also help if they could somewhat use these assets to Remake some of the older games since we don't know if Square is willing to continue down with the Remake paths (heck it wasn't even really a 1x1 Remake and more like a Back to the Future sequel)

Technically not a minigame, everyone else can do something fun even when a Meteor is coming, X-Blade!, etc.

The fact that Noctis remembers Stella more than Lunafreya is exactly how the fanbase feels about the original version and the released game. Stella was somehow more memorable. Everything about the first trailers was more memorable.
Stella is better than a "Very Important Character".

The disrespect towards Jill, lol. While she sadly wasn't fleshed out much, I think her personality is more about her actions than her words. She does fall into the trope of only supporting a male character and never really taking center stage (as opposed to Tifa and Aerith, for example, who have a lot more time to shine no matter what version of FF7 you play), but she works off of Clive really well. And she did have her arc where she gets revenge on her captors, showing she's not some pious "I'm above killing others" achetype. Murder was the only thing that would make her feel whole, given all the murder she was forced to do, and I actually respect that 😅
I love that their romance was also a slow-build. Yes, maybe five years is a very long time to finally kiss the person you like, but by that point, it had clearly become love and was very sweet and well-earned. It was the connection I (and many) had hoped to see with Noctis and Luna. I endearingly call Jill "Jillybean" now 😂. Jill might not make a top 10 list of amazing female FF characters, but I don't think she was written poorly.
