This should help many home do-it-yourselfers, you'd be amazed how many people completely stuff the threads when re-placing the collar, resulting in a very costly fix. I have been doing this for my mates with Mazzer grinders (most of them own Mini, electronic or doser) to give them that peace of mind. I also try to steer some of them off the "upgraditis" fever where some of them are extra keen on replacing standard Mini's burrs for the Super Jolly. It's one of those internet forum fads of no real life practical benefits.
My Mazzer doesn't grind fine enough : if I close the collar, the burrs touch and even in that position (= burrs not touching but close to it) the grind is not fine enough. Any hint?
Mazzer burrs are available online in many locations. Check the model you have (listed above serial no. on LHS of grinder) e.g. Mini, Super, Jolly, Major, Robur etc and just make sure you buy the correct burr set. The authentic Mazzer burrs cost more but are worth it.
