    Well, maybe someone will be interested in real user feedback...even being so late to the party (S/N 000089***) 1. Pressure shown here is just too high...depending on your usual routine, you will end up in 0.8 - 1.1 pressure readings at the top of heating cycle (more milk drinks - the higher you go). Red zone is there for a reason - just a bit higher and there is safety valve is to get to work. And there is more to it - the higher the pressure - the longer your cooling flushes would get and the more water you'll end up wasting. 2. Even will point this out separately. To regulate the p-stat you will need to do multiple turns of the screw (the one under the yellow cap) per every 0.1 bar of pressure. It's weird and springy to operate with, but that's my routine: 1) full turn in direction of choice; 2) wait for 2-3 cycles of heating element ON/OFF; 3) adjust further if needed; NOTE: depending on year/model of p-stat used in your machine, this may NOT be applicable to it 3. Highly recommend to plumb in if there is such possibility (I've managed to hold up the whole one day before made such decision) - e61 HX is a very thirsty unit and you will be filling that small 2 liter reservoir and eptying that < 2 liter drip tray constantly otherwise. Actually, I've managed to just plumb in the water and settle the canister under the machine to collect the waste (still every other day needs to be dumped, but much more convenient for my taste) 4. There is really no need to twist tap knobs THAT hard. The spring inside prevents the leakage after just some reasonable turn off motion. 5. Absolutely recommend to have a thermometer installed in the group. Probably, after some practice with machine it's no so beneficial, but first couple of months...without it I'd probably end up disappointed in the machine, grinder, coffee, life etc. without even understanding the reason... Cheers!

    Thanks for the presentation and nice clear images. I am undecided between the Vibiemme domobar Junior HX and 2B. Both E61 and more or less same price. Does that mean that the 2B is just the best choice?

    • @simonshandrinov9079
      @simonshandrinov9079 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      well, if you asked this question, I'd assume that yes, 2b is a better choice after some time, if everything goes well, you'll probably want to add a PID unit to it's brew boiler, but that's basically it and no water from reverse osmosis systems, please) cheers!

    WARNING The single shot filter holds 16grams of coffee. A Nespresso pod is 6 grams. If you have two single shots of Domobar in a morning that's 32grams of coffee!!! I wondered why I was getting the shakes late morning.... I now mix 50% decaf beans with normal and we split the single shot between us ( smaller cups) so now we still enjoy 2 cups a day but with 8 grams total of caffeinated coffee.

      Thanks, there are different basket sizes available so try search up a 9g basket for e61 head. Nespresso pods are woefully under weight IMO! Also you can stop your shot short and get a less intense caffeine hit.

    • @chiassocoffee1776
      @chiassocoffee1776 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Imat hoppers are not held in by anything as such, so it would just be coffee oils and grime build up that is holding it in. Try twisting it as you pull on it? Or you could unwind the entire collar and it ma come off that way.

  • @plupluplutus

      Mazzer burrs are available online in many locations. Check the model you have (listed above serial no. on LHS of grinder) e.g. Mini, Super, Jolly, Major, Robur etc and just make sure you buy the correct burr set. The authentic Mazzer burrs cost more but are worth it.

    I recently saw it on Avito. The seller said this is lelit fred pl043mmi just 2015 old version. But I wanted to precise grinding control like in Lelit Fred. I thought they just replaced the top ring and added a worm gear at the back, I can just buy and install them. I even wrote about it in Lelit, but in the end I didn’t buy a coffee grinder.

    • @chiassocoffee1776

      There is a small seal inside the steam tap body that will be worn out so that the steam tap is not closing completely. It wears out faster if the tap is closed too tightly too often.

      @@DUNNY_Travel_Films I'll post a video on TH-cam in a day or two showing what I do. I think I know what you mean about high steam pressure. I typically stretch the milk for around 10sec and then push wand down to roll milk to temp. I'll do that for enough milk for two drinks. I'll pour the heavier milk into a cappuccino and then I can usually get some half decent art on the latte.

    Another thing I do which i feel is very important, is once Ive chem cleaned the head, The chemicals also dissolves the FG grease on the cam of the pump switch. So I turn machine off, let the machine cool down for a minute or two, take out the cam attached to the lever, 2 small alum screws, pull out cam and put some food grade grease on cam, This slows down the wear on the lobes of the cam and make lever operation way smoother. Its easy to do and stops the wear and tear on the lobes chopping through the chrome to the brass beneath.

    This should help many home do-it-yourselfers, you'd be amazed how many people completely stuff the threads when re-placing the collar, resulting in a very costly fix. I have been doing this for my mates with Mazzer grinders (most of them own Mini, electronic or doser) to give them that peace of mind. I also try to steer some of them off the "upgraditis" fever where some of them are extra keen on replacing standard Mini's burrs for the Super Jolly. It's one of those internet forum fads of no real life practical benefits.
