Hi folks. The train station you saw is the old train station of Kuala Lumpur. Only one train network (KTM Intercity, Commuter and Intracity) stops here. The entire train network including the subway and monorail now operates from the newer KL Sentral station. Its like the Bang Sue station in Bangkok.

Petronas Twin-Towers is a symbol of pride, its our biggest national asset and this building remarks our nation’s very own economic success back in the 90’s as one of developing nation in Asia. It was the tallest building in the world back in late 90’s and early 2000. It is believed that every RM 1.00 (bucks) hold by every Malaysian is contributed by our very own Petronas. And without Tun Razak (2nd PM), Tengku Razaleigh, Tun Dr. Mahathir (4th PM), this man-made marvel wouldn’t have exist today. Still standing tall with pride in the centre of Kuala Lumpur and happy to see it always attracts the people who visit Malaysia. Feel proud. 🇲🇾

The train station you saw and went to is for KTMB (Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad). The very first intercity railway service in Malaysia. Started by the British colonial back in 1885 when they built the first railway line from Taiping to Port Weld (in Perak State) to carry tin products from the mine to the port and continued to Britain by ship. KTM is the only railway service so far that provide railway network connecting the whole of Peninsular Malaysia. It also has city commuting services called KTM Komuter. It also provides cargo carrier services. In other words, KTM (unlije LRT, MRT, ERL, Monorail) is the heavy duty railway service provider covering farther distances.

Teh o ais kosong -- that's how to ask for unsweetened iced tea. Kosong literally means 'empty'. Teh o ais limau is sweetened iced lemon tea. 'kurang manis' means less sugar, if you want it a little sweet.

Did you know that the old train station was designed to be snowproof😅. It able to support upto 3metres of snowfall. So awkward to be build in tropical country but on that era, they need to follow the England's railway specification.

Nasi Lemak Wanjo and Nasi Lemak Village Park restaurants are probably cleaner and spacious in term of space too. Both are frequent by tourist and local alike, delicious in taste too. Nasi lemak Tangling taste great but the place might be a little bit uncomfortable for tourist.

Pemilik restaurant2 terutama berbangsa melayu should be advised not to play loud music, memekak sangat, sakit telinga mendengar, spoil the atmosphere dan pengunjung tak dapat makan dengan aman dan susah nak berbual/bersembang.

nasi lemak literally means rice fat (rice=nasi , fat (nutrient)=lemak, fat(body weight) = gemuk))

I have always thought the word 'lemak' describes the coconut milk's creamy taste rather than the direct translation which means fat.

It's coconut rice..but the whole presentation with the condiments n all is called Nasi Lemak. Confusing much huh.

While people call nasi lemak the National Dish... it is by no means the best...😆
Nasi = Rice, Lemak = Fat, Rich
Not a palace but a mosque...
