Been to Dhaka several times and I can tell you that all your senses will be working overtime in that country. Add the extreme heat on top of that, you got yourself one of the most challenging places to live on the planet.

And in case you didn’t notice, nearly every single person Kurt came into contact with in Dhaka was polite and respectful to him. The worst he got as far as i can tell is a few side eyes and angry looks since they aren’t used to seeing pale skinned tourists such as Kurt. Stop being so ignorant and open your eyes.
Kurt was wired off that Beetle nut. I don't know much about prices in Bangladesh but everything seemed reasonable and it didn't seem like they were trying to take advantage of you. I think it's because Bangladesh isn't a usual tourist destination (especially places like this where Kurt went) so they couldn't rip him off + most of them could barely speak english let alone scam a tourist

Some easy tips in Dhaka (or Bangladesh)-
1. If you Don't want something -just say No/Na (sounds pretty similar and everyone understands that)
2. Don't mix rice with curry, smash that curry into your rice and enjoy.
3. If yoy are not sure then ask around for the price, someone knows English and 400% they will help you. Just ask loud so that many people hear that.

Hygiene should be a priority, India and Pakistan don't care about hygiene. And they choose to be that way. I've been to a poorer place, but they had the Hygiene. Why not eat with a spoon for example? Too many diseases there, you can easily catch them. People who suffer from Asthma can easily die due to the air pollution.
They're not poor. Their country is cheaper than ours. Just because they have less money doesn't mean they're poor.

Some of these people are INCREDIBLY poor and don't even have access to proper hygiene facilities but they are still clean hearted and generous. I could hear in the background when he was buying the hat, someone in crowd said to the seller to overcharge Kurt but the seller said no and that he said 100 is the price.

GREAT video! Fact: I have travelled about 100 countries and Bangladeshi are THE nicest population I have ever come across, they have absolutely nothing but they will never try to get one cent of extra out of you. I spent 2 weeks there travelling across the entire country few years back, and it was one of the most tiredning and rewarding trips of my life. You cannot always choose the environment where you are born, but you can choose who you are. I don’t pray but god bless the Bangladeshi people in order to make their lives easier one day because they fucking earn it!
The honesty comes from their humility and their religion Islam. They are poor but honest people and so generous, happy to give you the clothes off their backs with a smile.

Yes, because too much money and power over others seems to corrupt by default. It's the western cancer, which we have plenty here. Endless greed and soulless disconnection.
If you don't have anything, you can't lose much more. People don't care to give something; they've simply lost the will to care. Personally, I've found that the more money I have in the bank, the more reserved I am about keeping it that way or making it grow even further. Greed tends to increase over time.
I think because people in disadvantaged / poor positions often develop inferiority complexes and automatically respect more those who are "better" than them. In fact you wouldn't seem them acting so nice to poorer countrymen.
Another factor is the inferiority complex towards Europeans, so if you're African I doubt you'll receive the same treatment

Imagine going to places where people are constantly trying to scam you for money, strangers surround you trying to get you to follow them so they can get money from you, where you can't get a moment to just experience the place you're in because you're this white guy in a non-white country so eyes are always on you, you're being judged just for being there, etc. After a while, it's probably exhausting and you lose your enthusiasm for traveling. I don't blame him if he was experiencing fatigue and felt burned out by it all.
Morocco was the problem, not Kurt. That place was a holiday nightmare. The absolute worst I’ve seen in all his videos.

I live in a lower class area of my city in the US. My neighbors are quite better than when I lived in an upper class area. Yes there are problems, but much better interactions.
