Our guest Dr. Aditya Togi is an Astronomer, a Scholar, a Researcher of Stars, Galaxies and Nakshatras. He hails from Mumbai, India and holds a PhD in "Interstellar Medium in Galaxies from University of Toledo, Ohio.
In this video, Dr. Togi gives us some fantastic insights on Ashlesha Nakshatra and the Constellation of Hydra. yes there are issues with insomnia. But also they have enormous stamina to work through the night and catch up on sleep in the morning. also they use their insomnia productively and do most of their most valuable work during this time when the rest of the world is asleep.

i would like to share my experience as i have my moon in ashlesha.
I am a Doctor by profession ( Snakes around the staff)
i have specialization in anesthesia where i deal with inhaled gases which are poisonous in uncontrolled conditions and also intravenous drugs which can be potentially dangerous.
as anesthetists we have to do a lot of night duties where we take care of critically ill patients ( so we are sort of guarding and protecting the patients ).
since the age of 17 i have never lived in my own house, i have either lived in a hostel or a rented house.
i have strong interest in alternative healing methods.
i have always lived near large water bodies and close to forest (nature)

There is something about Lord Vishnu sleeping during this time period of the year and it being not so auspicious for a wedding, for example, because He cannot attend and give His blessing, being asleep; also, something about Him turning over on his side; which makes me wonder if that is at the exact point where that bright star is in the middle of his tail, not certain of name on slide of this star but it certainly stands out in the constellation and there is a change in direction at that pointi. Thanks, love these whiteboards, fascinating, to the heart of the matter.

Just so amazing. I love the way U connect the symbolism Dr Pai i believe in that method its intuitive just love Ur videos u got me interested in Nakshatras and find them so much more deeper than planets providing great clarity more easily. Have Sun Venus and Ketu in ashlesha. sun at 29 and Venus at 26 so have strong ashlesha characteristics i have had hell in life but i just regenerate and rise stronger. U hit the nail on the head with mother in law angle also she was like overshadowed by me and hates me.
So sorry heap of thanks to Dr Togi the astronomy connection makes itso much more interesting and easier to assimilate and retain. Also the connection with the past in Kerala and tamilnadu just so informative.

I have Ashlesha ascendant & it's curious how I end up with diamond pythons living in the house roof of everywhere I live, the one we have now who's moved in spent about a week coiled around the verandah banister. I find snakes fascinating & have great respect for them.

i have checked for my husband's chart with various vedic calculator is either pushya or aslesha nakshatra. Both nakshatra are very different, so which is the correct the nakshatra to follow as reading will be different given the stars characteristics are so different.

As per vedic panchang..Ashlesha persons names should start with letters "Di, Du,De,Do" etc...but i cant find any indian names . Any one please suggest...I want name for Aslesha -1 girl (name start with letter (Di/Dee) . Here one main thing which u needs to understand is u.needs.to check the letter in Hindi or any other Indian languages instead of English....for example if we write the name "Dimple" in hindi/telugu...the first letter is one thing and if we write another name "Deepa" in hindi/telugu then the first letter is another thing....in english.for both we will.use Letter "D", but in indian languages it's different...so first understand this and then suggest.. thanks in advance

I find it sad that this nakshatra is presented so negative although it appears to contain very spiritual, courageous and fruitful qualities. Why the emphasis on the negative? sometimes it seems that one is almost an evil person if you are born under this star? I understand there is a strong connection between Kundalini and Ashlesha and that it actually is a Sattvic Nakshatra?

In life there is absolutely nothing good or bad. Its a combination . Of anything was 100 percent good they would be God , and if 100 percent bad they would be the devil. Since were humans we contain a combination of the factors. Ashlesha is an extreme nakshatra where it can be extremely good or extremly bad both ! I have this so i agree . If triggered we can use that poision to inflict a lot of poision and if we love something we will go out of our way and remove the poison from that person in any means possible. This exteme nature and also being very emotional and intuitive can make us dangerous in a way because we can act based on emotions and we can simply justify that as oh we just returned the arrow back to the person trying to shoot us. But what we dont sometimes realise is that our arrows are far poisionous and most others and can cause great harm , just like our healing ability is far superior to most others . Its simple really . The extreme nature and the supernatural gifts bestowed on this nakshatra is the reasons why people fear ashlesha natives. We also must keep our actions in check as sometimes we can act out of spite and destroy the opponent just because we can. Channeling that energy positively and transforming it into higher ground is i think the main task of those with ashlesha. We can heal , dance, charm , protect, read minds or we can manipulate, self destrust, harm, practive black magic . The choice is really ours. Whether we take the Upward or downward direction will decide how this nakshtra works in our life

Even if it is 4 years ago... Maybe this negative attitude towards Aslesa is, because it allows people to project all their own hidden, so called negative thoughts on this naksatra. In the end, it is all about awareness - that would be deep knowledge
Good references however to draw conclusions on how personal life may look like based on Bharatha and lakshmana life doesn’t sound right
