Yes, I would like to see Luke powerful, but at the same time it was stated in the Prequels that Anakin was the "Chosen One" and could have quite possibly been the most powerful Jedi to ever exist. He was literally born of the Force, by the Force, after Plagues and Sidious tried to bend the force to their will. Had Anakin not been tempted by the dark and handicapped by Obi-Wan, he would have been the most powerful Jedi to ever exist. Now inherently, Luke and Leia, being Anakin's son and daughter, could theoretically be just as powerful since Anakin's blood flows in their veins. I'll be honest. Before Disney dropped the ball on the entire Sequel Trilogy, I was thinking the Rey could have been another "Force Child", much like how Anakin was chosen, if not the Force Incarnated to reset the former glory of the Jedi personally (which could have explained why she could use The Force and a lightsaber with hardly any training in TFA. She could use The Force because she WAS the Force). My hopes were almost proven when they showed Rey seeing herself in infinity during her vision on Ak Too, but just as those hopes were bolstered, I was disappointed with the rest of the movie(s). They had a huge opportunity to actually take a deep dive and explore more of what made the Force what it was, but they completely missed the opportunity to write an interesting story and instead make her a Mary Sue, because "Strong Waman Powah"! =/
but one thing i dont get why did star wars make were luke gives up being a jedi why not keep going forward same with order 66 the jedi are alive and dead ??
I'm happy with anything they want to show us about Luke in this time frame. I think its long over due and since they brought back Star Wars in a big way they owe it to the fans. So a full laid out time line would be ideal. And being their hell bent on expanding Star Wars you better dot all the i's and crossed all the T' s. Before moving on. That's how a real story is told.

You’re incorrect about one thing. One of the ultimate feats of a Jedi is turning a dark side user and ultimately a sith back to the light. Luke doing that in episode 6 automatically grants him the rank of Jedi Master.

It would be nice if Lucasfilm publish a short story or comic centered in conversations between Ashoka and Luke. After Luke spended plenty of time searching for relic of the Jedi Order to learn about it, there’s no better of source of knowledge than Ashoka.

Sadly the only thing I am looking forward to is when Disney milks this franchise for everything its worth then sells it off to someone that actually cares about the universe that was created to retcon everything that they did and bring back "Balance". I don't consider anything Disney is doing as canon. Of course this is head canon but it is what it is. I have watched the train wreck that is episodes 7,8,9 and the only good they did thus far has been Rogue Squad. Can't wait till Disney sells it either back to Lucas or someone else more deserving.

The "old guard" was pushed to their deaths to make way for a new story with no direction what-so-ever. Rey is in every way whats called a "mary sue". Meaning the charactor doesn't need to try to be powerful she just is for the sake of the story. The story it's self wasn't all that bad till the third one. Quit simply its what you get when a super power like Disney takes over a beloved franchise like this. Its only money for them where Lucas made it feel like an actual world...a place you could visit. I would like to see why Luke gave up so easy. In the last Jedi. A twist where maybe he became possessed by an even Sith spirit and this is why he went to kill Ben. The Evil sprite is winning so he the needs to cut himself off from the force so the spirt will leave him. Never going back because he know that it’s to dangerous if it would lead him to kill his nephew Ben, it would lead him to destroying the universe.

He gifts Anakin's saber to Mara Jade at the end of the trilogy (it was used by his evil clone controlled by a mad Jedi, Joruus C'Baoth), he fights against a reborn Palpatine with Leia and a couple of recruits (one of them, Kam Solusar, will become a lightsaber instructor). He recruits adults, not just kids to his Jedi Prexaeum on Yavin 4. Kyle Katarn, Solusar, Corran Horn, the extremely powerful hothead Kyp Durron (who goes berserk after the Imperial Remnant, but repents in the end). They eventually deal first with the spirit of a Sith Lord, Exar Kun, then a few students going rogue (Brakiss, Kueller, Desann), and even an Imperial fleet sieging them. He and Mara have more missions together and eventually get married. Han and Leia's children (Jaina, Jacen and Anakin) join Luke's academy. The Yuuzhan Vong invades the galaxy and war breaks out for 5 years. Mara gives Luke a son, Ben. Jacen, shaken by the war, torture and how the Jedi are seemingly making the same mistakes, goes on a journey across the galaxy, expanding his knowledge of the Force. Already plagued by visions of a dark man ruling the galaxy with his daughter, he joins forces and becomes Darth Caedus with Lumiya, a former pupil of Vader, armed with a lightwhip, who betrayed Luke and attacked him not long after RoTJ. Caedus kills Mara, who caught him redhanded, Luke kills Lumiya, after she claims to be the killer. Caedus seizes power and starts a civil war, tries to turn Ben to his cause, he and Luke duel, and is finally defeated by his twin sister Jaina (who received some training from Boba Fett). We're now 45 years since the OT. Natasi Daala, the very same imperial admiral who sieged Yavin 4, becomes head of state, Jedi are mysteriously going crazy and attacking people, and she blames Luke for it. He goes in exile with Ben abd starts retracing Jacen's journey across the Galaxy. They even find a lost Sith cult, and the cause of the Jedi going mad : Abeloth, the Mother of the Ones from Mortis. Things go pretty bad, Abeloth is so OP, she can only be fought via some sort of astral dimension, Luke has to side with said Sith (included future Dark Lord Darth Krayt, from the Legacy comics), Abeloth is defeated, but the Jedi and the Galaxy need time to rest and rebuild. Sadly, this is roughly where Luke's story in the EU stops, though he appears as a ghost to his great grandson, Cade.
I wouldn't want a spinoff for the school. We all know that Ben Solo kills all of its students. It's a sad and moot story. I've always felt that the Jedi were unwilling to teach true balance. Only focusing on light one becomes blind. A more yin and yang approach would have saved their order IMO. I think series of Jedi surviving order66 and their subsequent stories would be awesome
Are we to believe that Boba Fett lived alongside the Sandpeople for five years? Boba was in the Sarlacc Pit for only a couple of hours. The Sandpeople found him a day or two later. From the time he leaves the Sandpeople to the time currently existing in BoBF Episode 5 cannot be longer than a year.

What we do know for certain is that there weren’t five years (as the narrator of this video claims) between the events at the beginning of Return of the Jedi and our current timeline in BoBF.

Chapter 5 & 6 of BOBF are really Mandalorian episodes, Chapter Six is heavily focused on Luke and Grogu.
