Turns out the quest was meant to be longer and that dialogue mean something but it doesn’t anymore, I mean it’s kinda obvious as he talks about being a blacksmith when he starts speaking about his hands
Isnt the location a mine? So this dude got his group to take over a mine so they could start making weapons and armor for pure profit.

There was a thief in the home when they were telling me about the claw being stolen. So I kill the thief, the claw wasnt gone yet for some reason, or maybe I picked it up before, and all good. Was an interesting coincidence. I stored the thief's corpse behind the stairs behind the barrels, and it has since gained a few friends.
Nope not just you, I did it my first playthrough. Just. Eing too eager to explore and have map weapons/armor before starting the actual game

I think The champion of Boethiah was supposed to talk to you before you fight him but Bethesda forgot to make him neutral.
Yeah, like they scrapped the part where, sometime after you become Boethiah's champion, she tasks you with assassinating Elisif. It's quite a shame, because you don't feel very much like her champion when she just ignores you for the rest of the game.

You mean like they keep forgetting to make sure their game works before releasing it? 9 years and 12 patches later, I still don't have a fully functional Skyrim that doesn't force me to keep saves on a USB. Saves got corrupt again recently. Just by playing. No mods.

yeah and Beothia would end up being pissed and so youd be able to take the armor but maybe youd get a radiant random encounter and be attacked by Boethias cultists like the vampires or something

If you kill Camilla AFTER giving the Golden Claw he doesn't get angry at all.

Also you can get the Golden Claw before talking with them which results into a new option "You mean this one?" right after the mission starts.
That's exactly what I did in my first play through.

The companions protect you from the guards. Once I accidentally transformed into a werewolf and then I went into Jorvasskr and let it run out. Aela and Farkas killed the guards after me and I lived without a bounty.
I had the brilliant idea to kill everyone in Whiterun as an experiment. The companions started to help me and I died from laughing as they surrounded the last surviving kid (immortal) and hit it over and over again while it cried. I cried too.
Later I reset to my latest save point, of course^^
Similar thing I had as well, only the guards attacked me randomly (no bounty, did not transform). I went into Jorvasskr and ALL the guards in Whiterun followed, while the companions did all the fighting for me, killing all the guards until the captain himself came to arrest me. When I came out onto the streets of Whiterun, there were no guards left lmao.

You can read the names written on the gravestones in Falkreath Cemetery , some of them are very sad , creepy , or hilarious.

Oh, like in Fable 2? (Though the great majority of the tombstones in that game was just hilarious.) I've got to check that out. I'm getting surgery tomorrow to get my wisdom teeth taken out so depending on how much pain I am in, I'm hoping that'll distract me from the pain and they say that laughter is the best medication. Do you remember what any of them say? (Or at least the funny ones?)
There's stuff like that in blackwater in red dead 1, one of the gravestones was some guys name and underneath it was "I didn't know she was married" and below that it said "Killed by gunshot"

My personal favorite "thing you might not know" in Skyrim is unlimited dragon arrows. Join the thieves guild and steal all of the arrows from the archers. Replace them with one dragon arrow. Whenever they go to the shooting range, they will shoot off free arrows of whatever they are carrying. I usually build dragon arrows only one time ever and stock up this way.

At Thanksgiving I said "murdered to death" to one of my cousins, another cousin that heard me said "fuckin Skyrim". Just that he made that connection brought a smile to my face.

Hey Nate, remember the skeleton that is hidden underneath the bridge in Dragon's Reach? I think I found who killed her!!! Gabriella has advise to give you when you go to kill the Gourmet. She will say "if you are wondering where to hide the body, I have found in the past that the water is a very good hiding place" not word for word but it is almost. Go check it out. I think it's a hint!
That might be a reference to Gaston Bellefort though, the skeleton hanging out in the water in the spider part, presumably killed or at least eaten by Liz the spider. Pretty sure the spider is Gabriella's, so could just be referencing that
Did you know the flame atronach wont cross a river unless spawned on top of it.
My wife was actually able to save the guy in Solitude, and the result was amazing!
Because her sneak and archery was really high on one of her Xbox play through she was able to stealth kill the guards and the headsman without the guy being hit. After that we are guessing the game had a bug, and the guy just spent the rest of her game standing on stage looking confused and occasionally sharpening a sword on the grinding stone.
We had the best time making our own head cannon about how the town was just ignoring him like Mikasa in Another

Skyrim, the single buggiest game Bethesda ever put out.. and we aren’t talking “Anniversary Edition” or shit, I am talking about one of my wife’s first play through, back in 2011, where we had no internet connection, no DLC, no patches, just straight from Game Stop Skyrim. lol This game was so fucking broken when it came out I went through 4 different characters before I could complete the main story just because of the game breaking bugs each one encountered… Centurion Steam Glitch, stuck as a Werewolf glitch, Always wanted in Markarth…. Believe me or don’t, just stop wasting my fucking time with this “Couldn’t happen” shit. I was there I saw it, it was a huge joke for me and my wife for a long time.. Move the hell on lol.

@@hipopotomusman the game is scripted in a way that the Nord that needs to be executed has a another version of himself in another world where if he didnt die in Skyrim, he would die in the other world, and if he died in the other world, he would die in Skyrim, so the end result is Always the same, he dies

This makes me question what other hidden dialogue there is if you're able to calm certain hostile NPCs. If there are a lot you could make a series just off that.

@@gabemerritt3139 i actually did a full pacifist build that did this, mostly bandit chiefs reflect on the place theyre at and talk about raids. theres some cool specific dialogue you can find though
I know if you are a Vampire and Pacify the Dawnguard Npcs in castle Dawnguard you can buy the unique restoration spells from them .....

It would've been cool if you started the storm cloak missions by saving rogvir and escaping solitude
I have a theory. So in the Thieves Guild quest line, you gotta beat up some shopkeepers to make them pay back some debt or something. After you do this, and go to Brynjolf to finish the quest. After he congratulates you, he removes the money from your inventory (300). What if the player doesn't have 300 gold? I think maybe he'll complain that you've spent it.

On my first playthrough, I entered Solitude from a side gate and somehow never triggered Roggvir's execution scene, and somehow the game still keeps him alive.
However his AI is rather bugged. He would contantly grind a sword in the nearby workbench forever. This made me confused as hell since everyone is telling he's dead but there he is in a small corner, eternally trapped sitting in the workbench.
Roggvir is just playing a prank on you...you watch he'll show up at your house being like "yo where's my talos necklace"

Same is currently happening on my playthrough, one of the main reasons I love Skyrim.
It took a while for me to realize that if you pay the bandits to let you pass too many time, it will seemingly improve your standing with them to the point where they wont initiate the conversation or attack and you can freely walk around the fort without consequence. Still haven't tried seeing what happens with Roggvir if your first time entering Solitude is during the Stormcloak attack.
Damn, things like no.1 are proof that Bethesda has gone to some seriously strange lengths to get the game engine to function the way they want it to..!

Things you probably didn't know about Bleak Falls Barrow
-when you get the stone tablet before you go to whiterun, the court wizard will say a different dialogue like you're not like the other brutes that have been sent to him (something like that)
-in the same location as the stone tablet, there are 2 hidden chests on the left and right areas
-On the left side of bleak falls barrow there is a hidden satchel bag and safe
I thought this was pretty neat and I don't actually know if people know about the hidden chests or not
Sounds like Boethia's champion was going to just be some random peaceful blacksmith who you'd have to show up and murder. Guess Beth didn't remove the dialogue since they assumed no one would access it.
No, that was entirely on purpose for the player to discover on their own. If it was only accessible through console commands, that would be one thing, but when you can actually engage dialogue through using the calm spell, then that means that was meant to be.

If it was just some random blacksmith dialog he wouldnt mention being the champion during it. He only says he makes armor in junction with it being another way to change fate and make your mark, unlike the prince of betrayls way.
I think what connor meant is that originally he was hiding away as a blacksmith, but they changed it so he was a bandit leader instead, made him hostile on sigth and left the dialoque in coz they had no reason to bother with getting rid of it. Notice that the dialoque dosent fit to him being hostile on sigth or even a bandit leader.
Alduin's last words are a reference to Malafor's last words in Spyro. They translaste from Dovahzhul to 'I cannot die. I am eternal' which is basically the same as what Malafor says before being killed in a very similar way to Alduin.... Food for thought.

One of my favorite exploits is being a Vampire with Necromage, Atronach, and the Atronach Stone - granting 100% Magic Absorption. Sure you can no longer summon minions, but if you go ahead and put perk points into cheaper Conjuration spells you can use them to restock your mana since the mana absorption is based on the spell's base cost. Additionally, being inside the AOE of your own Destruction spells becomes a massive plus since the damage they try to deal to you is just absorbed again for more mana than you spent on the spell in the first place.
wait so the atronach sign and atronach perk get BOOSTED by Necro mage if you're a vampire??? So can you achieve 100% magic absorption with just those two being a vampire with neceo mage perk?
Also if you do the were wolf vampire lord glitch are you still considered undead?
And u can't use summons at full magic absorption?
So I was playing Skyrim and decided to leave odahviing prisoner while I went and got health potions so I wouldn’t die during the quest when I came back farengar secret fire the court wizard was talking to the dragon then he walked behind him and said “surly you won’t miss a few scales or a bit of blood.” then the dragon used yol and the wizard ran away

I mean, nobody has seen a dragon in a very, very long time. Chances are Farengar wanted to know how they function. I know I'd be curious as to why there isn't any huge dragon turds lying about when they've suddenly returned and do in fact eat lol.

the disappointing part is that they show Farengar as being interested in studying dragon bone and scales but you can never sell that stuff to him.

Interesting fact about Rogvir, it seems like the downward swipe of his axe forces npc's into a "dead state". If you push a guard into the axe or he hits a guard while trying to swing at an escaping Rogvir, anyone he hits falls to the floor as if dead. But they still talk to you and even glide across the floor face down in a t-pose. Spooky.

I tried as a battlemage, even with 100 Destruction and fully kitted for it I could do more damage with a smithed (No resto loop) xbow at like 60 archery or something. The sneak bonus is just ridiculously OP
@@mmhmmthatright6900 yeah, but that's nothing compared to daggers with the dark brotherhood gloves. 30x sneak attacks. That's the kinda stuff that knocks entire chunks off of high level bosses.

4:56 This is why I like the Thieves Guild, they always got your back.
Most are rather cold to the dovahkin upon first meeting them but all do come around after joining. The Companions, on the other hand, not all do, and it annoys me. They don't seem to really hold true to Ysgramor's concept to the Companions, much as Astrid lost sight on what the Dark Brotherhood should be. Not all the groups are really as strong together as they like others to believe.
Warmest groups: Dark Brotherhood after Astrid, Thieves' Guild, Wizards of Winterhold(I don't blame them for not wanting to take on the Winterhold Guard), Bards College(They aren't exactly a fraternity but I do feel welcome there, plus you do get to hold a burning man gathering which is fun), Coven of Namira(if you can handle the creepiness of what they deal in), Nightingales, and a couple of the Orc Strongholds(Mor Khazgur is tops for me. Borgakh is a good fighter and going fisticuffs with the chief there feels like a lighthearted brawl). And then the Greybeards (As they give more than maybe they need to to aid the Dovahkin, and Paarthunax is the best person in all of Nirn. I'd love to swap tales with him for hours.)
Coldest groups: Companions(Let's face it, each of them have their own goals and needs and really don't have any sense of teamwork), Blades(Esbern's alright but he is loyal to Delphine who will happily leave the Dovahkin in a ditch if she felt it necessary. Or at least try to.) Dawnguard and Volkihar, as both are set to their own agendas and the Dovahkin is merely a tool to either of them.
You can actually randomly encounter various pairs of the companions hunting while running around skyrim, though often if there is a non-essential person they will permanently die.

@@samsonguy10k if you're walking around and get attack by a bear or troll sometimes companions member will come out of nowhere (accompany by farkas) to aid you.. and they are the only ones out of any faction to do this

I spent hours doing this when I was a teen... just walking along rooftops in Solitude casting fireballs at hawks.
You can shoot down insects if your aim is true enough. I’ve shot down butterflies & stuff.
The hours I spent building my archery skills in an effort to save Roggvir. Damn, those Imperials wanted him dead so badly they went into the future or jumped dimensions or something, became game developers, and made his survival absolutely impossible!
The info about Rogvir is actually pretty awesome. I love learning about the stuff that happens when people try to deviate from the path.

I got a mod called Falskaar, and it makes a new NPC stare at me all the time, so of course, I get caught stealing the ring.

Okay so I saw another commenter mention Arvel the Swift and it reminded me how when you get the quest marker "Cut Arvel down" in the golden claw quest, cutting him down can mean both cutting him out of the webs and just straight up murdering him (to death). It's a little obvious, but I thought it was cool

The roggvir thing must be new. I've been playing since release (havent played in a few years) but a mass calm spell, topped with slow time, and sneak, you could sneak attack crit all the guards on the stage with a bow, and roggvir would run out the door. You would be able to find him wandering another city. The downside is not getting his talos medallion (that never does anything anyways)

Lol hey Nate, don't forget that when you are a vampire, if using the Dawnbreaker sword, when it explodes it lights YOU on fire as well. It made it to where I cant use the great weapon because I am of course a vampire. Inigo is angry at me because he always wants to use it but I won't let him XD
I found that out when becoming a vampire temporarily to get to the Soul Cairn.
Not the best when it's usually my main weapon. Especially for Dawnguard.
@@James11111 lmao I haven't gotten there yet in this play through. I finally have my mod list set just as perfect and am glad I learned early on before I got to that portion. Lol I'm lvl 60 with damage mods set to make it more of a challenge and immersive and it obliterated me when it lit me on fire lol. I have it safely looked away in my armory where my child can ovserve (and hopefully not play with) all of the deadric artifacts I have collected thus far. Quite the surprise I got because I was searching around for which ever fire mage I was about to murder to death!
Which is why Dawnbreaker is best when you go for the tank route. If you are already a brute in heavy armor, then the occasional self-combustion you can laugh off.

I'm not a Doctor, but obviously Roggvir suffers a serious heart condition during the escape and the stress, in addition to his poor eating habits, led to a massive heart attack. Another possibility is a rare genetic disorder that led to a stroke. Thanks for sharing this with us TheEpicNate315.

I just started playing this game 3 days ago, I have it on the switch and your content on this game is awesome, I watched a few of your videos and they are detail and you add charm to them. You earned my like and my subscribed
to elaborate further, the dead body cleanup cell is actually where the bodies and loot belonging to semi-important but non-essential NPCs go when their corpses despawn from the game. I actually use it sometimes whenever I can't seem to find a certain NPC to check if they died in a dragon or vampire attack or not.
If you see someone's naked corpse in the cell, then they died at some point and you didn't notice. Since Roggvir is basically hardcoded to die, the game will bring him here regardless of whether he's alive or dead.
You can use console commands to revive the people in the cell, but I wouldn't recommend it. The game will still be coded in such a way to act as though they are dead which can break things, or at the very least it will be weird to see family members mourn the death of someone who is still alive and right next to them.
A lot of people also don't know the lore friendly way to check if someone dies. Most if not all holds have some sort of crypt, usually underneath the temple in that city. If anyone in the town dies then there will be a coffin that spawns in the crypt. You can use these to loot anything that was on that person when they died.

I play on the PC. I created a batch file containing a bunch of console commands that essentially turns Roggvir into a giant, unstoppable, enraged maniac. I usually wait for him to finish his speech justifying his actions, run the script, and let him save himself, or at least postpone his own inevitable death. It's kind of funny watching Roggvir kill half the town, only to keel over and die randomly.
I know how to created some random simple bacth file but can you teach me? The line and how to run it in Skyrim?

I have a sin to confess: I lost the Ebony Blade. I have a nord two-handed warrior who would use not only one greatsword, I planned using the Ebony Blade and that was what I did, but recently (I mean 2 or 3 days ago) when I came back to the save, I noticed that I couldn't find the blade anywhere, I've gone to every damn place that I often visit during my gameplay, but the blade simply vanished. I want to think positively that I will end up finding the blade, instead of thinking that I left the blade in Deus Mons, a player home mod, and then deleted the mod, making the blade go back Oblivion.

I think there's a better explanation for Roggvir getting teleported to the dead body cleanup cell. Normally, characters that are killed have their bodies teleported there after their death, and after a sufficient amount of time has passed. In a normal playthrough where you don't interfere, Roggvir gets killed. While you are still in Solitude, they don't want the body to just disappear before your eyes, so they wait for you to leave, then teleport him away, so it just appears that that the guards cleaned up while you were gone. If you leave mid-execution, it is simply assumed that he was killed and he teleports away automatically. However, if you save him and then leave, the script to teleport him is still in effect, even though he isn't dead, so he teleports over. The fact that he dies on arrival to random npc is just a weird interaction that is almost certainly not intended, because why would the devs care about him being dead if he's already in a cell inaccessible to the player (without console commands).
It's kind of a cursed thought that a naked clone of Melborn kills anyone mistaken for a dead body and gets teleported there.
Like he's some eldritch abomination or SCP of a higher power lol

Did you know that during the quest with friends like these when prompted to "kill one of the captives" in turn you can decide to kill astrid instead in which case she will compliment your ability to assassinate her an begin a quest to destroy the dark brotherhood before she becomes an essential character in the game.
The vampire child won't be in the dark brotherhood lair. Like all children in the game, you don't want to attack her.
Yeah I’ve done this mission before, it’s a bit underwhelming though I thought. It’s quite a short quest line especially in comparison to the usual dark brotherhood quest line

an interesting alchemy / enchantment trick is that "fortify restoration" also works as a "fortify alchemy", and the potion stacks when you remove / re-equip your 4 pieces of fortify alchemy equipment. When the description for the fortify restoration potion says "restoration spells are [+ / - %100,000] stronger, that is that last one you make and then make over-powered fortify enchantment potions. If you already know about this trick, it's known as the "restoration loop".
