The worst update in history, completely kills the interest of old players who are used to the old Rust and rec0il. Lost interest in the game. The game turns into a typical pvp shooter. New sounds are unstable, some we4pons have a too loud shot sound compared to others. It is impossible to det3rmine from these sounds how far the 3nemy is, as they are completely different from the old ones. Please back the old rec0il and work on the new we4pon sounds better.
The editing and music in this video is top tier. I actually got goosebumps when the cello kicked in at the HMLMG reveal, and the transition during the reload was just perfect. The fight scene at the train was so well coordinated too.

I don’t like the new gun sounds as the old ones are so icon to the weapons and the game overall, I don’t like how cannt tell a difference between a mp5 and a Tommy or a tap firing Tommy to a sar in the new update
the weapons in CS still sound distinct. you can tell a scout from an AWP, an AK from an M4, a bizon from a UMP, etc. in rust, this distinction can be rather important. some may want to challenge the lower tier tommy with their crossbow and nailgun, but not an MP5 due to it being quite deadly
I am not a fan of the gun sounds that is my biggest issue with it before you could tell what gun it was now not so much. But overall I think this is heading into the right direction.

nope, the gun has very high aimcone, and reduced accuracy at longer ranges. So unless you want to spent 80 bullets on one naked, this gun is used for more close range ie: raid defences.

The new crosshair looks like something straight out of a Minecraft "Tryhard pvp" texture pack. It's bad. I really hope it's optional and that you can disable it, if you want. In addition, if Facepunch is going the crosshair route, I hope that more options, such as a plain dot for example, will be implemented in the future.
if you read the update they said "We'll be looking at crosshair customization options in the future, as well as specific crosshairs for different weapon types (melee/throwing, etc.) The crosshair can be disabled within the options menu if you hate it and third party crosshairs are allowed to be used."
Those little fun items are DLC, but becides that it still is just free update content (if you buy the game first then, otherwise you still gotta pay for the game)
Are these the final gun sounds? Because I do not like them and I think many people agree that the old sounds were better. But still nice to see that facepunch still makes the game better.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the devs behind Rust ? Every single month they work to push out an update for us, I actually don't think that any other game pushes out new content in the same pace as Rust. It's honestly incredible. And when players dislike the changes they made, they actually listen to the community and revert or change stuff
yep, calling rust quits now, after over 1000 hours of sitting in ukn practising sprays just for them to void all of that time is honestly one of the most infuriating things i have seen developers do, if not the most. I get they want to open the game up to more casual players but for those who have been loyal to the game, well it is just a spit in the face.

i3-10100 + gtx 1650 super gives me 100-110 frames on low pop server medium graphics 🤷♂️

you can disable it so no worry's and ofc making your own crosshair is still legal

They should add croshair editor like every other game has
if you read the update they said "We'll be looking at crosshair customization options in the future, as well as specific crosshairs for different weapon types (melee/throwing, etc.) The crosshair can be disabled within the options menu if you hate it and third party crosshairs are allowed to be used."

Those little fun items are DLC, but becides that it still is just free update content (if you buy the game first then, otherwise you still gotta pay for the game)

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the devs behind Rust ? Every single month they work to push out an update for us, I actually don't think that any other game pushes out new content in the same pace as Rust. It's honestly incredible. And when players dislike the changes they made, they actually listen to the community and revert or change stuff
yep, calling rust quits now, after over 1000 hours of sitting in ukn practising sprays just for them to void all of that time is honestly one of the most infuriating things i have seen developers do, if not the most. I get they want to open the game up to more casual players but for those who have been loyal to the game, well it is just a spit in the face.
i wish they tweaked the old gun sounds, not just replaced them. i absolutely LOVED every gun sound they had also very nostalgic sounding (edit: looing at these comments i agree i do not like this update, what a shame, cool gun though)
