Did you know that EU citizens can enter 153 countries without a visa, which makes your Polish passport one of the most desirable travel documents around? For many people of Polish heritage, however, a Polish passport is just out of reach because their ancestors left Poland before 1918.

My ancestor came to Brazil in the 1800s (before 1918). He has fought against the Russian Empire in 1831 as part of the military. In Brazil, as an engineer, he developed several infrastructure projects and participated in the Brazilian recognition of Poland (1918). Do you think it’s possible to claim recognition of Polish citizenship granted by presidency?
Hi Lucas, it is a possibility but there are a few other components / requirements to consider. Can you please contact us directly here: citizenship@polaron.com.au
Thans for the video. A question, I have 2 kids who are Polish citizens, one of them is 13 years old, how can I acquire Polish citizenship through Presidential grant based on parental custody?
This is quite a complex question as it sounds like you're not married to the children's mother. If you were, you could apply for recognition of Polish citizenship which does have a compulsory element of residence in Poland (3 years) as well as B1 Polish language skills. It may actually be best if you were to write to Eva at eva.h@polaro.com.au.
Hello .i have one question. I am living in poland last 7 years. And i have work permit. I paid tex last 7 year .can i apply polish citizenship by president ?
Hello and thanks for your question. Yes - you can apply! Please contact us directly at citizenship@polaron.com.au
The discussion appears to assume that anyone who left before 1920 does not have documentation. But suppose I do have documentation of great-grandparents born, married, etc. in Płock or wherever?
Would it help that I speak halfway decent Polish?
Thank for the interesting question. It depends on when they left since prior to 1918 there was no Poland and prior to 1920 there was no citizenship law in Poland. If you can prove that they were permanent residents of Poland, between 1918 and 1920 people had the right to claim their Polish citizenship based on the law of soil (or habitual residence), provided they did not hold any other citizenship. Please feel free to reach out to Eva at eva.h@polaron.com.au to review your case.
Hi. Thanks for uploading so informative video. I am married with Polish citizen having 3 kids, living in Poland from last 7 years, can i get Polish citizenship by Presidential grant?
why don't you instead naturalize as wife of Polish citizen? Presidential Grant is a hard discretionary instance compared to your situation.
Please how can I contact this lady that she is living and working in migration services??
Thank you for your question. We do not provide immigration services. Our work relates to people who wish to claim their citizenship based on ancestry.
