I've also took Viranus Donton with me (and both Jemaine brothers) as a companion, 'cause he also can't die unless you bring him back to Chorrol and finish the quest. However, because the enemies ruined his armor, he ended up running with me completely naked😂😂
'I am perfectly capable of besmirching my good name' is also one of my favorite quotes from this game, next to the yellow team fan that gets a little too excited 😂
I imagine the Ogres were probably smaller because otherwise it wouldn’t have made sense for them to be able to fit in the house and spread the bones all around.
The stats given are lvl 10-14. Lvl 25+ The Escutcheon of Chorrol has the following stats: Fortify Endurance 10 pts Reflect Damage 35% Weight: 36 Item Health: 1500 Value: 17500 Armor Value: 22.5
This questline is an interesting one for sure. I don't know if I even noticed the dialogue swap with Jemane brothers, but it is not a surprise as they are twins and developers did make that minor mistake there. 24:10 you mentioned that Albert Jemane never requested aid from the city of Chorrol. Well, he was a thief that stole Honorblade from the castle, he couldn't really ask for aid as he was a wanted person, wasn't he? Eschuteon of Chorrol is the best shield in the game and it will always win over Fathis' gold reward every time. The thing is - Unofficial Oblivion Patch 'fixes' Fathis Ules, that you can still fence with him after events of the last quest, even after you deliver the Honorblade to Chorrol Castle. I don't really agree with this personally. There should have been a consequence that Fathis will not be ever available for the player as a fence, I believe he says - ''You've made your choice, now leave me be!'', but he also always stays in Chorol in the inn and never leaves back home to the Imperial City, which he is originally from. I think the patch should have only fixed that Fathis will go back home to the Imperial City after the quest and you will still not be ever able to fence with him afterwards, even after joining Thieves guild and the rank you need to achieve to fence with him. Also I never knew you could steal the Honorblade after the quest (like you can Rockshatter from other quest). Funny enough this reminded me of the stolen painting quest that also took place in Castle Chorrol. Thievery in Castle Chorrol seems to be normal thing in this castle, apparently :D.
23:49 If this theory holds water, then this is the most detailed video game Stranger Mission that I ever have heard of before! Regardless, I am impressed with the thought invested into the Jemane brothers' side-quest in "TES IV: Oblivion"! The writers deserve the praise they've received for this game!
The twin brothers who were separated, whose father was a thief, and being sought after by Fathes Ules, the highest fencer in the game but unusable lol.
Worth noting, if you do this quest, you lose access to Fathis as a fence no matter what. If you give the blade back to Chorrol, he'll get angry with you and refuse to talk. But if you do give the blade to him, he just resides permanently in Chorrol and never offers his bartering service again. This makes giving the blade to Fathis an even worse option, since doing so doesn't even let you keep his Thieves Guild services, but it does guarantee that you lose the Jemane brothers as followers.
(Minor spoiler: If you agree to escort the brothers after clearing weatherleah they will act as followers indefinitely). I started this quest and killed the Ogres. In the head cannon for my character the jemane brothers decided to help me in my journeys to prevent others from having to suffer a dreadful fate by the beasts and bandits of cyrodiil.. you can also pickpocket better equipment on them too after asking them to wait
I'm on console so if you turn in the blade you lose access to fathis as a fence. So now I'm walking around with a weightless blade that I can use at any time and I don't have to search for fathis. He just is always at this inn in corrol lol
According to another player's comment, the Escutcheon of Chorrol is the best shield in the game. As I don't know personally, is the Honorblade a good weapon of comparable quality?
the best part of this quest is how, after beong seperated for years/decades, they have the same outfit on
The fashion runs in the family
"We're not fighters" - has an 800g warhammer on his back at all times.
Guys a goof
"Oh, that? That is my carpentry hammer. I like to stay in shape"
800g isn't all that heavy. That's like less than 2lbs
@@speks36 800 gold. not grams.
I remember reuniting the brothers then taking them on adventures with me afterwards. Since they can't die....perfect targets for enemies.
Never thought to do this. Gonna start a new playthrough and do this
@@BiggRich95bring them and erthor. Since erthor is a summoner you essentially have 4 distractions and 3 are unkillable.

What line is that?
Anyone else find it funny that the Jemane twins are wearing matching outfits despite not seeing each other in years
Almost as iconic an outfit as the colovian fur helm
When you have hours of free time at work and your fav TH-camr drops a new video 😎🫶🏻
Heck yeah man ❤
I really appreciate it! :)
I imagine the Ogres were probably smaller because otherwise it wouldn’t have made sense for them to be able to fit in the house and spread the bones all around.
I forgot that this quest even existed. Thanks for the Oblivion content in 2024 :D
Cheers! Thanks for watching! It flew under my radar for awhile too and then I decided why not cover it! It was super fun to do!

That opening dialogue from Reynold is hilarious
Just like that, you granted my wishes! lol thank you so much and I really love your work.
I cant remember this quest. Well done. Ill be on the lookout for it on my next run.
It’s definitely an out of sight out of mind question, but once you do it, it’s really neat!
The twin brothers who were separated, whose father was a thief, and being sought after by Fathes Ules, the highest fencer in the game but unusable lol.
I just haven't turned in the blade on my recent playthrough so I don't lose access to him lol
On PC the unofficial patch fixes this though

I always loved this quest I used to follow the brother all the way to the house and help him fight creatures along the way

Loving the oblivion vids need to play this agamr

According to another player's comment, the Escutcheon of Chorrol is the best shield in the game.

"We are not fighters"
Carries a Warhammer
love the questline and always help the brothers by clearing their family name. I think it might just be me but the Sheild you get is unbreakable.

Fathis Ules is a high level fence for the thieves guild, right? I wonder what would happen if you helped him instead.
Several comments on this section claim that a bug traps him in Chorrol, making him no longer available as a fence for the player.

That's not how you spell "separated."

Oblivion. Buggy as ever 😂
Still want it pumped into my mains 😅
It’s the bugs that make the game!! 😂
😂😂😂i just cant stop thinking about rick grimes😂😂😂
Remember to Jemane calm everyone
How funny would it have been if they were black soul gems filled with people's souls?
It is not a Bethesda game if it doesn't have a ton of bugs!
