      Gaben is our superior!
Fathis Ules who is a fence for the thieves guild doesn't even go to his house! He goes to this orcs house and sleeps in a double bed with him!!! He can't get in the house until 5am because only the ORC has the KEYS!!!
Fathis sleeps in Dul gro-Shug's house due to a design flaw. He clearly should have been marked to sleep in his own house, but Dul gro-Shug's house is right above it in the Construction Set and the wrong cell was chosen. This mistake will make life much harder for Fathis; he doesn't have the key to Dul's house, and will have to wait from 5am to 6am in front of the door until Dul unlocks it. When he is finally inside the house, Fathis will end up waiting outside the locked Private Quarters instead of sleeping. Also, in the evenings, depending on how you use the fast-travel and wait features, Fathis can often be found locked inside Dul's house. This is due to the logic used by the game engine which ignores locked doors in some instances and places him in Dul's house with no way to get out.

That's because Patrick Stewart ate up most of their voice acting budget, which is why there's only a dozen voice actors for the 1,000+ characters in the game, and therefore why most of Oblivion is just Wes Johnson talking to himself over and over.

I’ve never felt as blown away by a video game than the first time I played this game. My friend introduced me to this game, I thought it was whatever during the tutorial dungeon… and then after exiting the tutorial I couldn’t believe the scope this game had in terms of world building, NPC interaction, lore, and all the different quest lines within one game. I’m hoping TESVI pushes video game boundaries in the same way Oblivion did in 2006. Skyrim was a refinement but didn’t feel like a huge leap forward. High hopes for the next one 🤞

You're given a ton of pre-made sections, rooms, hallways, stairways, etc. You piece them together into a shape or design that you like, then just plop in items, enemies, doors, etc, until it's to your liking and call it a day. It almost feels like they took what they had from Oblivion's dungeon making days, and reused it as the Snap Map for Doom.

Nothing will ever replicate the feeling of experiencing Oblivion for the first time. Same with Skyrim. But something was seemingly lost along the way. Not sure if it’s because I’ve gotten older but modern Bethesda games just don’t give that feeling anymore. The creative vision and talent that we see in this video seem to be missing, replaced by corporate and financial goals at the cost of quality. The goal used to be to innovate and create but now it’s to check boxes for elements that have already been established. This has become especially evident with Starfield.

Simply, It would take much more time and resources to make a remaster of Oblivion as opposed to Skyrim. Basically, they would have to remake all the models, scripts, textures, etc. from the scratch if they were up to remastering Oblivion. Moreover, Skyrim runs the same engine as Fallout 4, and it only has the improved lightning and shaders (which is the main feature of the remastered verion). The reason why Bethesda's making that remaster is to give players an option to play Skyrim on PS4/XBONE.
