    The reason Max looked slow against Dustin is because Dustin never let him get started on his flow state combinations. He specifically said "Max is a rhythm fighter, and I'm gonna disrupt that rhythm". No one else could do it as well.

      You're spot on. Max Holloway is a state of flow type of fighter, and the speed increases as his opponent output decreases. We see this with fighters like Tony Ferguson, Justin Gaethje and even Porier himself. A lot of people say that Porier greatest win is his one over Connor. But I believe it was against max because of what he did.

And if they can somehow argue Conor deserves a rematch for the belt, then Chandler is definitely the second best option behind Charles right now. Since he has already beat three times the UFC fighters at 155lbs than McGregor has. (Alvarez, Benson Henderson x2 and Hooker).

      Even as a fan you can see Conor doesn’t have it anymore. He’s flat footed and can’t keep up with the competition any longer. I just don’t think he’s as committed as he says he is. Probably works 3-4 days out of the week. Only reason he’s in the convo is because he was gifted but isn’t training as hard as someone like poirier.

      @@markuskidd546 Alvarez was a very favorable matchup for Conor. A short, short armed volume brawler who had endured wars and whose chin was already becoming questionable. Conor is a precision kill shot puncher. That was easy pickings for Conor.
      It’s not that Conor wasn’t a very good fighter. He was very very good. But more casual fans think he was some sort of transcendent talent. And that he absolutely was not.
      I still love his style and enjoy his fights though. I’m still unsure as to why he switched it up against Dustin.

    He needs to be in that octagon more often. Plain and simple. He's taken far too much time and you guys know how much the game changes in the ufc and how quickly it happens. These dudes are hungry and are changing all the time. You can't just walk back in after all this time off and after losing a couple times expecting to just use the same trick and be the poster boy. I love Conor and everything he has done for the sport, he's a legend, however, he needs that drive or he will never be that elite fighter we all knew him to be again.

    I think a connor tony fight would be great with both coming off losses and if not that a connor nate trilogy would be huge. I feel like connor needs at least 1 or 2 fights before a serious rematch with poirier or even a potential title shot to get his cage time up with the top guys in the division because when connor is active he’s a whole other beast at 155.

      Money has nothing to do with it. McGregor’s own coach said the old McGregor was back during fight week against Poirier. The UFC supposedly has the best fighters in the world.       Connor isn’t the same fighter he used to be. He got too into boxing after the Floyd fight. Changed his entire stance & fluid movement. Look at his movement in the Aldo fight vs Porier fight.     I think he’s just not as invested anymore. You see in every sport when someone takes over the game, fighters and teams etc figure it out and adapt. Conor just relies on his hands and need to broaden his game in my opinion.
