Glad I found your video! I just purchased a huge oak entertainment center and will be repainting it soon. Love your idea of the tinted primer coat first thanks!!
Hi Oreo Benavidez! Yea...it is expensive, but I just love her colors and how it looks when it's finished! You seen what I do, right? I go to Home Depot and have it color matched...that way it last much longer and are able to do more than one piece with one can. The entertainment center used up one can, but on smaller pieces you should be able to do two or three projects, if you use a the color matched paint as your first coat and the actual Annie Sloan paint for your second. Well, thank you, Oreo for watching and You have a GREAT day!!!
@@FLEAMARKETRESCUE yes I made sure to pay attention lol its so relaxing and inspiring to watch a piece of furniture get a makeover I've tried it but I rather stick to canvas and acrylics . But I love how buttery it looks.. stay blessed
WOW!!! What an amazing transformation! It's nice that Andrea trustful to make this piece beautiful. I wish I hadmore confidence in myself to take on a pr6l8je this. I re do pieces for myself but not for others.. No mam.
YeAaaa....I'm so glad you found your way here to my channel, Sandra!!!! That's GREAT!!! Thank you for the WONDERFUL compliment!!! And, hey......you live here in Michigan too??? That's AWESOME!!! Well, Thanks Again and You have a GREAT night, Sandra!!! XOXO
OHHhh NOoooOO! You got rid of it?!?!? Oh well...like you said, next time!!! Anyway, I'm so glad that you LOVED the video! It was a big transformation! That oak had to go!!!! They were so happy when I finished it!!! Well, Thanks for watching and you have a GREAT night, April!!!!
Hi, I hope you’re still around to answer a question. Is the Coco Annie Sloan color slightly gray? When you showed the paint can at the beginning, it looked light brown, but the finished cabinet looks gray. is that because of the blend with the primer underneath? Thanks in advance! Edited: just found on the website that it is a soft brown/gray color. Thank you so much for your video!!
Annie Sloan’s Coco paint has a brownish tint to it….although when it dries it looks like a beige gray. I did put a black wax on it which makes it look more on the gray side, too. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching! XOXO
Yes, I did. Then I used a paint and primer in one that was color matched to the Annie Sloan color I would be using. After that, the actual Annie Sloan paint was applied for the second coat. Hope that helps!

@@FLEAMARKETRESCUE i have done some flipping of furniture and have sold everything I’ve painted but I live in a rural area and people can’t/won’t pay for what you put in like Annie Sloan which I use so thanks again. I never thought of color matching the first coat duh!!! Lol
Thank you so much for the tip in color matching the Annie Sloan but would Home Depot know what color? Do you have the formula? I mean I did screen shot the color but in my cel it looks more sage than I think whay it actually is. I woukd love to paint my bedroom set that color. Being watching two videos on your channel really like how you explain.
No...you have to bring them a little sample of the Annie Sloan paint color on something for them to color match. They don't have the formula there. So, what I do is...I paint a little square on a scrap piece of board and bring it to them. Using your phone, I'm afraid that you won't get the right color, because it's on a screen...it might pick up a glare. I color match it at Home Depot, because Annie Sloan is so expensive...I don't want to buy two can of Annie Sloan for a project. This cuts the cost, but yea...you have to bring a sample to Home Depot. Hope that helps explain it. Any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. Ok?
Beautiful
Whew!! I bet your arms were TIRED after days of working on that huge job! 😲 (It looks amazing, good job! ♥️♥️)

Beautiful work I wish Annie Sloan paint was cheaper but I've heard it's the best

Thank you, Ivette!!! I appreciate that!!! Wasn't that transformation?!?! Anyway, have a GREAT day, today!!! XOXO
That is one HUGE built in tv cabinet. Great makeover. I really dislike oak. I swear every home built from 70’s to 90’s used it.
Me too, Laurie...I don't like oak either! And, yes...every home had oak! LOL Anyway...thanks for watching my video and I'm glad you enjoyed it! XOXO
BEAUTIFUL
Thank You, Linda Nave!
OMG 😳 what a change!! I love ❤️ it !!
Great job 👏🏼
I know this video is 2 years old but I was hoping you could tell me if I can use the clear wax over regular paint to protect the wood?
I used both clear wax and dark wax on this. You want to put something to protect the finish because it's going to get a lot of use. Hope that helps!
Just found your channel! Love that you live near me! Your channel is awesome !

Love it. Did u scuff sand before A. Sloane paint.?
Yes, I did. Then I used a paint and primer in one that was color matched to the Annie Sloan color I would be using. After that, the actual Annie Sloan paint was applied for the second coat. Hope that helps!
Why not take the doors off , is worth it and it would look even better.
So beautiful ❤️
