I've ridden three alpine coasters; the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster, the Goat Coaster at Goats On The Roof, and the Timber Twister at Spirit Mountain in Duluth, MN. So far, I think the ones I've ridden are definitely worth it because you're in control of the car and thry feel more out of control. I don't consider the rides ar Rowdy Bear Mountain to be alpine coasters personally. I am not sure about the Ski Lift Shootout Coaster, but I don't think the Avalanche Coaster is worth it because it's barely a minute long, it doesn't look to be as fast or exciting, and the price is almost three times that of the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster and almost four times that of the Goat Coaster.

I can see that. It's been a while since I looked at pricing for these Alpine coasters so I wasn't fully sure.
