I just bought and received your guys Long Handle Wakazashi (Warrior Series). MAN THIS THING IS A HEAVY, ROBUST, AND STOUT WEAPON! Great for close quarters combat! The blade is so thick! I feel like I can do everything you guys test these on in your videos! This thing really does feel like it will easily push through a car hood!
MESSAGE TO COLD STEEL: BRING BACK THE WARRIOR SERIES NODACHI! I HAVE BEEN WANTING ONE FOR YEARS! YEARS!

It looks sick if we woukd to carry it in the ancient times, might be used to offend some bastards on the street? Definitely wouldn’t recommend on malls or anywhere full of guards 😂 i guess you can train and become strong and be known as “the great modern swordsman” and people around you have respect and you can carry it around without anyone worrying? Sounds like a cool idea tho

I have a model from very early on ..quick story; relatives that hate guns came to visit one day. While they were there three of my dogs cornered a massive coon,He was a huge thing and they had him by three sides...as I ran to see what the commotion was I grabbed my katana, ran to the 6 ft. fence jumped it and ran 20 yards to where they had him,I made the noise that means let go and they did....as they were letting go he was spinning toward me..hands up teeth bared, mouth opened...I made one cut through his rib cage and listen...this animal fell apart before he started bleeding..these swords are meant to go through bone ,flesh, and anything of that consistency...my relatives haven't been back...just so You don't think I'm a bully I faced a pig in a rut in the road in Mexico and killed him with just a hunting knife..as he charged me and there was no where to go...that was interesting!

I'm always amazed to hear people mock Cold Steel products. I have over 45 blades from them and I've never been less than 100% satisfied. I don't have any $1k pieces yet but I will.
I think it's difficult for people to believe you actually get that much quality for an incredible price. You just need to pull the trigger and get 1 dream item and then you'll see. Everyone I show my EDC knives to they're extremely impressed. Without fail.

Great products gentlemen. Still waiting for a all black sr1. The shiny steel attracts way too much attention on a black uniform. I carry a recon 1 now, but want some of the extra benefits that the SR1 offers. Thanks again for making great products, I've been a customer for over 20 years.

0:47 by high end, you mean the fittings(habaki, seppa and kashira) are loose. The blade is dull and full of burrs. The saya is so loose it falls off. That kind of high end?

I have many swords. I bought t the fist one one this Cold Steel Mizutori Katana just for the blade. I am a goldsmith but i know something about metallurgy and plenty from swords. My main reason was to get quality blade what can stand real swordfight and usage. Blade it self is really nice. Knife sharp but i made it razor shard without destroying the hamon. I just love this sword now! Tuned it little bit by sharpening what is not easy, added some mild carvings to its blade and leafgolded the all over again. This was really the only real usable sword in its prize. I have 5 other katanas about 150-400 euros range and they are not that great of really taking beating. I also have Cold Steel Viking swords what i have made to be bastard sword and other one to just cut anything...that one is insane at making damage and takin it. You literally cannot brake these swords :) Absolutely a sword to be used. Mizuritori katana is well balanced and very nimmble if you can really use a sword. I am pretty fit female and i can use it effectively.

Love the videos, I'm wanting a warrior chisa katana soon. Its 1060 steel I believe, but I like how the blade is thick bottom to top. Is this a real strong cutting blade?

    Gunto (Japanese Officer Sword)
    Type 94 design
and possible variations or "conversion" to other types (NCO or Naval etc...)
I was thinking that Cold Steel should make this years ago. (similar to the Western swords)
Forgotten all the details. So this comment is a bit rushed.

Your katanas are uniquely made especially for modern katanas. I doubt very much that you use the traditional metals that the Japanese sword some is what they use back in the time. However they do seem to do a very good job I have to admit I'm a little impressed, however mr. Wick you are not a good example of how the Japanese Katana is used and even if you have some training of it under your belt and appeared you are having a little trouble handling a heavier katana as opposed to a lighter katana. The way I was taught is that a swordsman never bends his back in his training. Because it could cause problems later on the battlefield.

    I don’t know how you get away with saying they are traditionally made when;
    They aren’t made in Japan
    They aren’t made of tamahagane
    They aren’t all fold forged
Everything about them is imitation or replica. I’m currently pricing genuine katana for my trip to Japan and to say that your swords are priced at under $1000 when proper high end is anything over $10k. Typical American bs
