Jeff currently has five characters. Peanuts is still my fave, but Achmed is a close second. When Achmed meets his son is also very good. There's a couple of videos where Jeff has two characters at the same time, and he does all three voices rapid-fire. He's the best at what he does.

Peanut (the little Purple guy with the troll hair) is hands down my favorite!
He has done 5 voices at once, 3 puppets plus 1 puppet out of sight, plus himself.
Peanut, hose, achmed, Walter, bubba j and the new guy Url.

Jeff is great, the purple guy is Peanut is crazy, he drives Jeff crazy, the old man is Walter, check them all out, you'll love it, very funny.
Darci Lynn, a 12 year old on AGT, actually sang a song(very well)with her puppet Petunia. If you like ventriloquists, even if you don't react, you will love her performance
Darci singing with Edna on AGT is what sealed the deal for her to win that season.
Love Jeff Dunham. Achmed is my favorite character. The little purple guy with the short hair is Peanut. His shows Controlled Chaos, Minding the Monsters, All Over the Map, & both Christmas specials are some of my favorites. It was so fun seeing you react to him for the first time.
Jeff is great. He makes the puppets/dummies I don’t know what to call them. He is a ventriloquist and a standup comedian as well.

One of the best ever and what people don't think about is. Hes a great writer because he put together. These sketches and had to of course, handled 2 rolls. Being whatever of his puppets hes using, and of course, his role so the man is multi-talented a joy to watch and I dare anyone not to laugh.
I was fortunate enough to have seen Jeff Dunham live in 2019, before the pandemic, it was the best comedy show I've ever been to! Jeff is even more hilarious live, Achmed is definitely my favorite character that he has. Peanut is my second favorite, and Walter is my third. Some of his best comedy specials are Controlled chaos, All over the map, Unhinged in Hollywood, and beside himself!

One of our Christmas traditions is to watch Jeff's Christmas special every year.
Personally, I think Jeff is the best in the business. I have seen him live a few times, and each show has been different and extremely funny. He always starts out with stand-up comedy (very funny) before moving over to "the little guys" as he calls them.
I still have the original version he put online 15 years ago, and it was 11 minutes long. I've never understood why he replaced it with this short edited version.
I don't think you can find the full version on Youtbe anymore. It's sad because the full version is hilarious 😂

Jeff grew up in my church in Dallas - I used to hear him when he was 14 -16 years old and he was already incredible. His main and original character was the jalapeno on a stick...
I once had a dispatcher who looked AND acted like Walter to the point where he embraced the persona. Him and peanut are hilarious as well.
I know a clown about the same age as Walter and just as angry.
Great reaction Sam and Phil! I know a little more about Jeff than you, but not much. He is hysterical though. If i remember correctly (and may be wrong), he created Achmed after 9/11. Please do more.

Welcome to the Jeff Dunham rabbit hole... follow it and your sides will hurt. My favorite character is Walter (the farty guy in the suitcase). Walter is the classic "grumpy old man". Great reaction!

There is one video that is a good taste of one of my favorite characters which is Walter. Look up "Walter Loves His Wife", it is absolutely hilarious.
But any of Jeffs characters and videos are worth looking into, Peanut, Bubba J, Walter, Jose Jalepeno, Url, Sweet Daddy D, Melvin the Superhero etc etc.
The "little purple guy with the troll hair" is Peanut, probably my favorite. The character is basically... like a hyperactive kid in his early teens, with LOTS of profanity.
Close second would be Walter, the old guy who is always grumpy and complains about his wife.
Walter first. Walter was his first self made character. Then Peanut. Then Jose. Before you watch Peanut's Password Panic you must watch Abbot and Costello's Who's on First routine.
Jeff has been around since the late 70s, he was just a kid. I was in college. Genius !!!

My favorite is Walter. Jeff Dunham is the best ventriloquist I have seen. He even makes his own puppets. I would also suggest Bill Engvall and Jeff Foxworthy.
If u guys really want to see what Jeff is capable of then the video called “Controlled Chaos” he mouths 4 different puppets and still talks to them and he does it really fast 😄 I would love to see a reaction video of that one. Its the part when jeff brings out peanut is when chaos ensues lol it’s right at the end of his act so you know where to look :)

Many years ago I watched hole Spark of Insanity... Was fantastic...
The thing about ventriloquists is that they usually put so much into throwing their voice that they forget to be funny or entertaining. Most of them bore me after 10 seconds when the novelty of their talent wears off. But Jeff Dunham not only has a number of fun and funny characters that he created himself, his jokes and material never disappoints. He's talented at ventriloquism and just funny in general. In my opinion, that makes him the absolute best at this. Also, it's absolutely crazy when he does multiple characters at once and has complex conversations with them.
Go for Peanut next. He usually starts his show with Walter then Achmed, at times he mixes in some of the less popular characters then finishes the show with Peanut and sometimes adds Jose in with Peanut. Peanut is simply a trip.
Love this guy. Hard to believe but from Wikipedia I learned Dunham was once the frontrunner to replace Jimmy Kimmel on Fox NFL Sunday, but hosts Howie Long and Terry Bradshaw did not want to star alongside a puppet. lol. That would have been awesome.
As both of you continue to go thru the rabbit hole of Jeff's comedy, you will enjoy his characters besides Achmed, such as Peanut or Walter.
"Purple Guy a Troll Hair" is Peanut. Old man, who scares Achmed with his deadly farts is Walter.
You IMMEDIATELY forget there's only one person on stage. New fans will watch Jeff's lips for like two seconds, then the voice, and mannerisms, and eyebrows start going, and the jokes hit, and suddenly Jeff is quirky, which is nice, but Akhmed is hilarious.
Terry Fator is also worth a look.
Winner of season 2 (2007) of America's got Talent. And does perfect impressions of singers. Like Jeff Dunham he has a sizable collection of puppets.
Jeff does spoken jokes as a comedian, who occasionally will have Achmed sing.
Terry is a singer and impressionist, who tosses in a few jokes in between.
Jeff Dunham and Terry Fator are the greats. There is one bit from Terry Fator Live From Las Vegas where Terry mixes up the voices and it's absolutely hilarious.

When I first started watching Jeff Dunham, Achmed was my favourite but now it is definitely Walter.
I have seen him in concert so many times. We took our daughter when she was younger and she had to get a talkable Achmed doll. He is always funny. He "dresses" up Walter as Biden and Trump even though Walter looks more like Biden LOL
His Christmas special with guitar man is hilarious
For a time, I've stuck my nose up at ventriloquism. That being said, Jeff still makes me laugh. What was said about the showmanship of it made me realize i was just jealous of Jeff's skills. You guys get a like.
Achmed is a fan favourite in Saudi Arabia too. They totally get how funny this is even after 9/11. Great bridge builder.

There is much more to Jeff, he has many more characters. Some notable ones are Walter and Peanuts, and then there is Bubba J plus a few more on top of them. Enjoy. I hope you get to check out Bill Engvall, so much happens in his life; from Dancing with the Stars through to life in hospital and the Marijuana Story.

When I heard Walter’s voice from inside the box it occurred to me that Jeff could cause so much trouble at a funeral.
First time I ever saw him, was his first appearance on the Johnny Carson show.

Jeff came up with this character following 911. He made a suicide bomber endearing, funny and relatable. That is some talent right there!

You need to watch Darcy Lynn, she won on Americas Got Talent she got the Golden Buzzer in 2017! She is also a ventriloquist, she was 12 yrs old and had only been doing this for 2 yrs! Her characters sing! She is amazing!
Jeff makes all his own Dummies. One of his most funniest is THE IRISH BABY from his special Relative Disaster. Also most of his specials are on Netflix
You have to check out all of the different characters that Jeff has. He is the #1 comedian in Europe, the middle east and Asia. Second is "FLUFFY"!!!

In one of his videos he actually did mess up and start to talk in a different character. I think it was with Peanut and then he used Peanut to ask "What the hell was that?"

My fav (and my husbands' ) is Walter- the old guy. Jeff has several others characters. He is great! The voice you heard in the background about Achmed not having an ass was Walter - the old guy. If you like comedy - give a listen to Abbott & Costello's "Who's on First" and "7 x 13 = 28".
Walter is my favorite character because we all know or have at least crossed paths w a Walter. 😂
