I saved one of these from the junkyard today for $2. It doesn't have any handles at all so i needed to watch this.
I have one of these and have just serviced it, still works perfectly.
If this tool is used properly and serviced regularly, it is practically forever.
Superb restoration. The other flat end...is it for the chin rest to put pressure !!??
Thank you! Chest or shoulder pressure is applied to the flat end (whichever is more comfortable)
