I usually find reviews boring after a certain point. However, I enjoyed this one a lot. Kudos to the host for letting the guest do the talking and playing. Paul did an excellent job 👍

I wish I could have this demonstrator teach me his piano style. A compelling advert for the P-S500. Good demo. Sadly good sound is not cheap.

im sold f me this is a amazing instrument ....the only thing wrong with the review is not showing the mic singing function and effects and the only thing wrong is the piano needs two mic outs using xlr

Yamaha has 4 tricks & 10K ways to repackage them. Like their PSR, PSRS, Tyros, Genos, DGX, Clavimova,YPT lines, etc, this is a variant of their uniquitous arranger engine with an app accessible accompaniment section. I do like the profile. Nice review

Great piano, if you don't want the standaard you can modify a triple pedal and use this without the compleet system😉

Bonjour.

Fantastic review it’s very much in-depth explained. I have a one question it would be great if you can answer me. My question is suppose if we play a proper piano music with both the hands then is it possible to get the score of both the hands separated? I know it’s difficult but I am just asking because that can be really useful for any composers. Thank you so much 🙏

This model sounds great, but it seems very similar to the much cheaper 515. Other than the flashy lights, what's the big differences between the 515 and the 500? Thanks

    • @Instrumental-Covers
      @Instrumental-Covers ปีที่แล้ว +1

The arranger part. You can't play live with the P515. The P-S500 gives you 370 full backing bands that follow your chords in real time. If you plug it in to a powerful PA speaker system, you will sound as if there is a band playing with you. You can create an accompaniment track with the P515 using its 16-track sequencer, but you can't play live in the sense described.

P515 lacks the much superior super articulated voices, too. Yamaha really ought to make a successor with all these new features, alongside the NWX action that this keyboard sadly lacks. Hell, why Yamaha though the GHS entry level was acceptable to include in this action is beyond me at the price.

this is the question, the P S500 has 20 W, the most Stage Pianos only 8 Watt. On the Video can i see two Kabel on the output. I think it is a very good PA, (boxes) connected.

I would like to see more about connecting iPad to the PS500... I've purchased a new Yamaha PS500 digital piano and a new iPad Pro but neither recognise each other... I am using a single cable USB-A to USB-C but the PS500 states that this device is unusable without any reasons or suggestions.I also went to some trouble to register my new PS500 only to discover I couldn't as it may have been registered as part of "After Care"... I have not been advised anywhere of this "Aftercare" and what happens if I have to make a claim on my Warranty? Thank you for any assistance you can offer

But you’re not supposed to be looking down at your hands at all! The proper way is to learn the notes and read while fingers instinctively know the keys.

I don't know how somebody can say something good about this keyboard. It's not wooden, doesn't have escapement, tripple sensor, ivory and ebony coating, nothing. The same action is used in 6 times less expensive p45. Unbelieveble.

This piano keyboard is fabulous for someone like me. I am a senior citizen who has been trying to learn piano just for fun. This PS500 takes fun to a whole new level. Learning songs in minutes or hours instead of months or years. Just really a lot of fun to have. Reading all the negative comments I really thought I made an very expensive mistake ordering and perhaps should have gotten the DGX670 like so many said. Or maybe wait for the newest P515 like I read from others. Waiting for this piano to arrive I was so concerned that I spent so much for a piano that wasn’t worth it. …… The piano arrived today and I am so glad I did not listen to all the negative comments. For anyone who is not proficient at playing the piano this is the very best , easiest , most fun piano you can imagine. Prior to the PS500 I was often overwhelmed at trying to learn. The PS500 Has lots of songs to learn easily. Not only do you quickly learn the notes but most importantly it teaches the rhythm too. Combine that with a back orchestra. There is nothing on the market that is this much fun. A whole new easy way to learn piano. My husband walked in and asked is that really you playing like that.? Huge smile across my face said …Yes! Giggle grin… For those of you who are professional musicians I can see, this may not be the best for you. And for $$$$ you can certainly find something that meets your needs for a lot less money. But please don’t knock this amazing, entertaining piano for those of us who just want to be able to play a few songs for friends and family. There are so many great piano keyboards for all of you talented people. However , This PS500 is truly a gem for anyone like me who just wants to have a lot of fun and learn to easily play their favorite songs along the way. For someone like me this is worth every $$$$. And it works with flowkey too…

@@PattiJ39 Well, I can agree on this with you. If you have enough money to buy something like this just to learn from the begining and you don't need a high-class keyboard, there are simply no more options on the market that can deliver this level learning tools in a portable format. However, as I told, this thing cost like really high-end models so to put there the most basic keyboard Yamaha has just doesn't feel right to me. Because they could, they have so many options to use instead of GHS. But they just thought, "okay, people will buy it anyway". Anyway, congrats and wishing you all the best in your learning.
P.S. Any Yamaha digital piano works with flowkey.

@@patevreinov okay, that's nice. Anyway, I just hope that Yamaha will here some feedback from guys like me. Cause this thing is not only about learning, it also has amazing sound system, aremgement and recording functionality, connectivity, unique features for vocsls and its portable on top of this. Just the keyboard is not enough for what I'm playing. So I hope they'll release that ultimate machine, same but with wooden keys. I'll buy it the next day)

I do find they have dropped the ball with this. Very frustrating as it has super articulated sounds the P515 simply cannot content with, yet lacks the solid action of the P515. What were Yamaha thinking?

Ciao dall'Italia.

He's a salesperson, he's doing his job. This video is to show off features, it's not a comprehensive review in any way and I don't believe it's the intention. Your first clue is the host is selling music gear for a living, so it really cannot be unbiased. Does seem ideal for beginners with a big fat wallet.
