There is no way to know whether someone is credible except to listen to what they have to say and then cross check it against other sources. Or just try the thing yourself and see if it's not a huge risk. Anyone can lie, and pharmaceuticals associated individuals often have incentive to do so far beyond that of the average so-called lay person. This video seems fine and correct. But just because someone calls herself a derm or has some kind of piece of paper saying she is one .. doesn't guarantee anything.
I just did this for the first time and wow was I amazed with the results. I’m 58 and always get told that I look a lot younger than my age. I began using the original oil of olay as a teenager, and now use a mixture of Elemis products, Paula’s Choice exfoliate, BeautyBio and strivectin. I don’t tan, smoke and rarely drink alcohol. Stay as hydrated as possible, but the main thing is stay away from the sun. Great video!
Thank you so much for the instructions, they were just what I needed. Just want to add that your regime doesn't stop after moisturizing. You should ALWAYS use a Broad Spectrum SPF 30-75 even if you are staying inside, since passive sunlight comes through windows and doors--it is the best anti-aging product you can use. Some people think that if an SPF is included in their moisturizer, you do not have to add an SPF, but it is usually only 1%, which isn't nearly enough.
OMG thank you for saying this I did not know that. Googled it and it said don’t use the following on the same day, and to discontinue use of salicylic acid, retinol/trentinoin, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, astringents, etc for 24-48 after dermaplaning as well. So glad you said this
I’ve always done it dry & just tried it using oil last night. It was definitely easier going with the oil but I also couldn’t really see how much was coming off (I like to be grossed out by all the ick coming off 😂), but you can definitely do it dry. I didn’t have that scratchy feeling on my face afterwards when I used the oil either.
hello doc happy weekend ,doc i use retinol twice a week friday and monday,my question is,what should i do if use it on tuesday wednesday thursday sat sunday at night.thank you so much doc,,im watching japan im pilipina ofw
My dumbass is gonna apply tret 0.1% right after dermaplaning for the first time tonight. Will be back to edit this 😈 Edit: ok so everything is tolerable. Some spots felt like I went over with the razor too much but other than that no irritation from tret. (A week ago tret 0.1% was moderately irritating my skin)
@@laggymaxglad to hear it went well for you. I personally skip the tretnoin on the night I Dermaplane. I just stick with moisturizing serums or just my favorite moisturizer.
Yes. When you shave your face, your hair grows back thicker. That is why I am a millionaire. I have found the cure for male pattern baldness. So when men go bald, i simply shave their head and their hair grows back full and thicker.
My friend has been doing it for a while and she said she wish she never started it because her face has such thicker fluff hair on her face now. She can’t go without doing it now.
Hands down the best most helpful and super concise explanation of dermaplaning from someone who's credible!

I keep seeing people add oil before the dermaplane but thats not what i learned. Thank you for clearing it up
The key is to lift weights with your face. That's why 60 year old ladies have 20 year old legs but a saggy face.

There is no way I'm going to wear sunscreen just sitting inside so that sunscreen companies can make an extra buck. Lol

Otherwise it’s fine
Dr V said to use a pre shaving oil
Never Derma plane on dry skin.
NEVER dermaplane after using salicylic acid as this may result in cuts on your skin!

oh shoot i just used it for the first time today, what exactly can happen if you use salicylic acid before or after dermaplaning?
Do I need to not use my salicylic cleanser for a day or more and just use a gentle cleanser?
Precise and perfect explanation! Thank you!
You can dermaplane on dry skin? I always thought you needed an oil or some slip?

Just don't apply too much pressure and you should be fine
I use the shave cream before blade. It's given a smoother result.

How many days break from tretinoin should you take before dermaplaning? Thanks x
I think she said 1x weekly
My esthetician recommended like 5 days before.
Thank you for the replies :)

What tool are you using? Or which do you recommend?
What tool do you recommend?
Use a straight razor
Do you do the mustache area as well?
Yes❤
Okay to use the home kits on legs?
Does it makes the facial hair grows ticker ?

No
Hi, i have a question. As you start doing this, does it mean you have to do it forever? Couse maybe you get thick facial hair?
It's a myth
My friend has been doing it for a while and she said she wish she never started it because her face has such thicker fluff hair on her face now. She can’t go without doing it now.
Should you dermaplane over your mustache area?
I have never tried this, but the Dermatologists/Estheticians want a ton of money for this🤷🏻♀️
In other words, you're using a straight razor/shaveta to shave your face. 😂
Why ?!! Why to even do it ?!
it helps your makeup look better and less cakey
Because there's something called female facial hair
