Those are 2 great options! I’d say if you want access to Columbia / Columbia classes obvs Barnard, and also consider location. Barnard is UWS and NYU is Washington square park area and both are nice areas but depends what you’re looking for. And ofc financial aid if that’s something you’ll need. And if you have a specific major or path in mind def see which school has a program that fits your needs better
hello!! Diana HERE. I agree with everything Marg said below.. I also was deciding between NYU and Barnard and ultimately chose Barnard for the smaller liberal arts feel and also the community for going to an all women's college!!! I also think having a campus is nice compared to not having one in NYU (but NYU location is defs better IMO)
This is so useful!! I don’t remember if you guys ever answered this but roughly how many girls are on a floor/sharing each communal bathroom? Thank you!
You can look up the stats of admitted students to Barnard, but yes in general you need pretty good grades in high school to get into Barnard. As far as college grades go I don’t think GPA matters as much with applying to jobs after graduation
Is studying hours including extracurricular activities like research and side projects? I want to be in a college where I can balance studying and research, and I’m scared if I can't do that at Barnard
you're welcome thank youuuu for watching! and I'd say easily 70% honestly. maybe more. I feel like everyone I knew/was friends with had some form of a job! whether it be on campus, tutoring, babysitting, etc
omg i was deciding between barnard and nyu as well!! lost 2 nights of sleep but it's barnard '24
We may be biased but that’s the best choice hehe :)
Another wonderful video! I feel like I always learn so much from y’all’s Barnard videos thank you:)

Thank you for watching! I would say there’s about 20-25 per shared bathroom
What camera do you use? Love the video!
Thank you!! We use a very high tech one called an iPhone... lol but really we just use our phones! :)
MJD and NYC LMAOO thanks, I kind of want to make an account like this next year at Columbia but I didn’t know if I had to buy a camera
do you need super great grades? does it matter to a lot of employers after school or applying to grad school?

Was it hard to find friends at Barnard during freshman year?
Yea it was definitely an adjustment to make New friends, we made a video about how to make friends in college though! Check it out :)
