i totally agree Red5oh. this base with optional quad tip active exhaust is the perfect match for the money. as soon as you add anything sniffing premium the cost is outrageous. this is really a nice video full of information directly from a Mustang enthusiast.
I’m in no rush, but I have been saving the Base models local to me that have active exhaust and 301a package. If one gets marked down a little more I’ll consider scooping it up
@@Red5oh They really are. The biggest thing that kept me from ordering one on release was when I optioned one out (premium) it was pushing 55k and that’s just kinda crazy😂 I’m seeing the ones I mentioned in original comment for about 48-52 but now I have to decide between that or a brand new 2023 Mach 1, Roush, etc. It would help a lot if I could get this new one with options for 45 otd😂
@@sonicluvschillidogs2 Congrats man! You’re living my dream. Where are you located? Since this comment, I have moved states and unfortunately I see the ones (now) local to me for 3-4k more than I was seeing before 🤒 cheapest i’m seeing is 52k
@@camashaftsjourney4072 it was at a dealer in Connecticut which is actually almost 2 hours from me but for the price the drive up was worth it, at one point they had a base with the performance package for 44k as well
That's funny. You said we won't notice the difference with an increase of 6 hp. How come the KIA Stinger GT bragged up a storm when they bumped it up 3 (three) horsepower in 2022. It was big News. That's the only HP increase they've made after 5 years production on the model. I said, "Really 😑 from 360 to 363 hp!?!?"
Yup a base manual 5.0 can be had $37k 6 speed and $38k auto. Search autotrader nationwide V8 sort by lowest price. Interest rates are 3.9% for 60 month I'm waiting for 0% no rush
I sound picky but I can’t stand the “iPad” screens and the air vents. They didn’t bother me at first but the more I look at them the more I hate it. I wish they would have kept similar interior to the s550 😢 I was waiting for the s650 to come out to buy it but now I have to buy s550.
the s550 is still an amazing experience and a beautiful design that has carried over to the newest generation. if you can’t embrace the s650 interior, just buy a used s550
I’m the other way. At first I didn’t like it. Now I don’t love them but gotten used to it having been in so many S650s at this point. But if you don’t have a mustang already then S550 is perfectly capable esp with gen 3
I love my 2022 GT. I wish they sold them with the Tremec instead of the Getrag garbage bag lol. Maybe after this 10r80 craps the bed I will swap one in.

I appreciate your support! I agree that would be the spec I’d get. Can’t believe premiums are $50k ish nowadays
@@Red5oh premium and performance Mustangs have become out of reach for the average working class person.
I bought a base 24 manual with active exhaust and spare tire as only options. I love it as it easily gets 24 mpg and the interior is great
Yeah that’s the way to get it. The base model is really good for the price

Yeah base or 301a with active exhaust is a sweet spot. I may pick up a base GT myself. Premiums are too expensive

The only bad thing about the base is those cloth seats don’t hold up in time. They wear out so fast, the leather seats look new years later
Yes I agree. I wish the leather seats was a standalone option and not hidden behind premium
For about $600 you can get Katskin covers custom made for your Mustang. That’s what I’m doing once my 2018 is paid off.
@@E52O4 not a bad idea! They do look pretty good too
How much did they increase the price from the previous models base
About $3k

@imthiazfaizal6288 it happens every so often purchased two for 0%
Yes mine is 0%
Yeah can’t wait for 0% to come back. I see GTs listed for 5-6k off locally so that’s a good sign
I’m at a 4.5% for 72 months right now and did a pre approval already for a premium active exhaust and brembos
Think im gonna pick up a 301a with active exhaust. I rlly wanna put a whipple on it
That's a great spec to have! I would probably do similar you really don't need premium with these 2024+

i totally disagree. i have the premium mustang, it looks way better then the base model.
It has its benefits but the price difference isn’t worth it as it has been in previous years
