TAURUS 608...8 SHOTS of 357 Magnum! Is this the best budget revolver?

- What's up guys, today I'm talking about my most recent purchase. The Taurus 608 revolver chambered in 357 magnum. But here's the coolest part, it holds 8 rounds! Don't forget to hit that subscribe button for future videos!
Funny thing is everybody talks about how S&W is "quality" however... in my experience they are polished turds (revolvers). I have really tried to like them I really have. I think they are hands down thee most attractive revolvers on the market but that is where my love for them ends. On two different occasions I had my local gun shop order me in 2 different S&W. A Performance Center .44 mag stealth hunter a $1500 gun. Upon inspection I found it to have a canted barrel... The second one a 629 .44 mag a $1099 gun. Upon inspection I noticed that the front screw to the rear sight was cross threaded resulting in the screw sticking out and canted.... these revolvers were brand new from the factory!!! On both occasions I ended up leaving with a Taurus and could not be happier! I know they are not as gorgeous as S&W but they are workhorses and function flawlessly. At least that's been my experience.

My first revolver was a Taurus too, model 66 4" barrel, 357 7-shot blue. Love it. I have a Taurus 709 which is my favorite summer carry. It is the most balanced in the hand gun I have.
Yea all my taurus guns have been good to me with no issues. And I hadn’t heard of the 709 until now, I had to look it up. It’s a cool little subcompact slim gun. I can see why it’s your favorite summer carry.
I was geeked I got the 608 4 inch brand new for $399 yesterday.

I have seen some people have issues with this pistol but I have never had anything and many rounds thru it.
Especially sweet with 38spl at the range
357 is different animal but this baby soaks up that fierceness to reasonable level
I use it hunting and it’s a very good sidearm
Yes, I have put about 400 rounds through it now and it has been great!
This will be my 2nd revolver really eyeing the 605 and now the 608 models i own a g2c rn and no jams ever at range

Appreciate your comments about budget guns. I read a lot online people saying "you should just save up the extra $300 for xyz gun..." But the thing is, buying the budget gun WAS me saving up the extra money here and there, working OT etc. I had a choice of having one really nice gun, or getting a pistol, rifle and shotgun on a budget. Each to their own but I feel like there are enough reasons for people to shit on each other out there today and I'm happy to shoot my poverty ponies at the range and drool over the guy with the Gucci guns next to me. I hear you man, guns can get expensive. But to be honest, some of the budget guns are the ones I trust the most. My $220 maverick 88 is one of the guns I trust the most. But don’t worry, you’ll get to a point where you’ll get a gucci gun of your own.

I went with the 500 magnum from Taurus raging hunter 500 got it for less than 900 with 6 3/4 barrel getting ready to get there 460 magnum with the 8 inch barrel love my Taurus judge as well working on getting a 50 Beowulf now
What your holding is a Tarus judge three in. barrel 5-shot. The S&W governor is a 6-shot
This gun has zero recoil when shooting .38 Special.

To be honest, I had some baby mama drama and people were picking out “all the money” I had in guns and how dangerous it is for a veteran with ptsd to have them. So I just stepped back for now. But I’m still here and I’m all good. Hope all is well with you to brother.
I was about to buy one for $649 several months ago. But then I saw the honest outlaw vid where he had misfires with the 608. That is unacceptable. I do not shoot a lot but i have never had a misfire with a revolver, old as heck to brand new.
I just watched the same video honest outlaw. I recently Just purchased the 608 but haven't shot it yet, after watching the honest outlaw im a lil disappointed...

I agree not everybody has a lot of money to spend on firearms, we’re a small community in comparison and as gun enthusiast need to stick together. Good presentation!

I’ve noticed that as well and I’m not sure. I’ve seen the logo and caliber missing alot on the 6.5 inch guns. Sorry wish I could tell you why, just double check with the seller before buying, or buy in person.
