    Wait what was that a misfire there with the 357s? I noticed 2 shots didnt go off? It happened again at the 5:12 mark? So you mentioned at 6:50 mark you arent pulling the trigger all the way. So the trigger has issues or its on you? I'm curious cuz im worried the gun doesn't have a good trigger wahhh. Well the trigger at the 9:00 mark seems kinda iffy. @@JBJHonez that's good to hear. I know they had a lot of issues when they first came out, but I believe Taurus fixed most of them. I'm trying to decide between the Taurus 608, the Smith & Wesson 627 Pro, and the Ruger Redhawk. Smith & Wesson used to make great revolvers. But, their quality control has steadily decreased, while their prices have increased. Rugers are good revolvers, but they don't have good triggers, and they're overbuilt, because they use a different process to make the cylinders. I have a S&W 386 SC 7 Shot Mountain Lite 357 magnum from 2001. It's never had a single issue. It came with a nice fiber optic front sight, and it came in a locking aluminum hard case. S&E just doesn't make them like they used to.

    It looks so easy to shoot. I love these big, heavy revolvers. Shooting is just so pleasant and so much fun.
    I also love the shape and functionality of the Taurus 608, right down the to the barrel release.
    It's just a pity that the finish is so dull. The "matte" finish just makes it look cheap..... like they couldn't polish it and sell it at the chosen price point.

    • @JBJHonez

    I have like you a Taurus, Tracker 7 shots, without compensator, 4 full inches, barrel, it is stable, very controllable, and very precise, without the useless compensator that takes away 1 "of barrel. In my opinion it was a mistake on the part of Taurus, to offer this weapon only with compensator.They could do as the very expensive S&W, which offers the insertable compensator at the exit of the muzzle, without reducing the length of the barrel.

    • @JBJHonez
      @JBJHonez  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I’ve thought about that as well. It’s not like the 357 has a ton of recoil. The Taurus model 66 doesn’t have ports. I’ve got one and it’s all black.

    Thanks for the vid!
    I do have some good advise for you.
    I'm a former police officer, and when I was in the academy in 2002 we were told about several police officers that were involved in shoot-outs and got killed or wounded do to bad range habits. They were ejecting their ammo from their revolvers and putting it in their hands and then in their pockets when reloading their revolvers. This slowed them down from reloading. Why did they do it in a fire-fight? Because police departments back in the day trained their officers to keep the range clean of brass. So the officers developed the bad habit of cleaning their brass up while shooting. An L.A. PD officer was killed and in the report he habitually was picking up his brass from the ground after he ejected it. This caused him to lose precious seconds in reloading and re-engaging the enemy. Please practice smart as though you were in a gun fight. Just eject the brass on the ground and reload. Look around after you engage your target and visualize looking for other threats. Look for cover and concealment. Know whet the difference is. Always have an escape route when in public, and never have your back to the door.
    These are just a few tips.
    God bless, enjoy your shoots!
    Perfect practice makes perfect!
