Good stuff.. ive had 5 of the judges, all steel frame. One bein the snub nose 2.5 inch chamber, a couple of the 3 inch barrel, 3 inch chamber and a 6.5 inch barrel 3 inch chamber. That bein said ive done alot of testing over the past 10 years, that bein said i completely agree with you on getting the magnum cylinder or 3 inch chamber. Much more versatile and if for some reason you cant find the shells you want of need, the thing is... you still have options. Being able to chamber any 410 shell and 45 colt ammo is definitely a plus. On top of that if youre really hard up... THEY MAKE ADAPTERS! now.... granted, adapters with say... 22lr, 9mm or 38 special or something will definitely not be nearly as affective in this as if they were in a gun designed for them, but it still fires and usable to an extent. I have used these guns a ton out in the woods as a get off me gun, camp gun or kayak gun. Ive takin game birds, squirrels and rabbits with them, even used it as a trap line gun to dispatch critters with the 22lr adapters. Theres so many things it can be used for, that bein said the most versatile one for me was definitely the 6.5 inch magnum with 3 inch chamber. Not much you cant do with it and definitely angreat home defense option for those that understand the weapon. Anyway sorry for such a long winded comment but just wanted to share. Have seen people having issues with it Jamming up whats the cause for this ? Is it dependable ?
These guns can jam with certain brands of .410 shells because they flare up too much for the cylinder.
