As an avid listener of Maitreyan's podcasts, I have a rare disagreement over his take on the western societies I'm a life-long resident in the west. The principles of equality, liberty and freedom are alive and well in these societies. Those outsiders who run afoul here are those who do not assimilate these principles but insist on importing the garbage they themselves ran away from. The western societies may have their flaws as would be typical of any human group; however, the difference is that they have uncorrupt mechanisms in place that can address such issues. The western societies are more than namesake democracies, something that India has never been. Selling of weapons: it's a matter of technology. The societies that don't buy these weapons will still have their own indigenous means of engaging in hostilities. Why not choose not to buy these weapons? Let's not overlook the economics of supply and demand and put blame squarely on those possessing a certain technology but exempt those who seek it.

The reason for this existing beauty concept is social conditioning.... If British people were black, dark skin would be more desirable.... Bt there is an evolutionary background in beauty concepts relating to physical features like strength, height etc... These factors helped our ancestors survive....
