What if.... you like what you like, and honestly like it, but you might do it, because you are unconciously avoiding what you really.. really like, because of underlying reasons you are just slightly , or comletely not aware of

I love to sew. I received a box of old jeans from my mother in law. I'm going to make a denim apron for my new daughter in law from a pair of old bell bottoms. I'm so excited! I also love cutting grass.
Hi Scott. I too have been explaining myself to everyone I meet and looking for understanding from everyone, especially from a family member where I live. Thanks so much for telling me that I don't have to prove myself and explain myself to anyone including myself. You reminded me that it's okay to like what I like and not to care about what others think about me. You are a great advisor.
I really enjoy your videos. I always say to people: "You like what you like and that's OK!" How boring a world it would be if we all liked the same thing, not to mention crowded!
Sometimes, it’s not that simple.
It’s not always about people understanding why we like we like. Sometimes, we seek understanding, because people are quick to draw incorrect conclusions about who we are and what we’ve been through.
Am I saying that we should bend over backwards to make them understand? No, but what does that say about some people and their LACK of empathy and willingness TO understand things that they don’t?
If you know your intentions and you back yourself, you have to lean on that self-confidence and just accept some people won't get it or get you and move on. Easier said than done, but that's the goal.

Thank you. This video spoke directly to where I am right now. After my divorce (my choice) from a long term toxic marriage (36 yrs), which took me far far away from who I was when I met him....changed me in ways I can't begin to share....I have spent the last three years reclaiming myself and getting back to who I was, but also rediscovering who I really am now, and who I have the potential to become.
Rediscovering what *I* like, and learning to not give a $h!t what anyone else thinks.
It's absolutely freeing, and absolutely healing.

This reminds me of the time I met a woman at an event who bred tarantulas and made nice enclosures for them to live in. I'm personally terrified of big spiders but I found this lady so interesting, inspiring and fun to be around because I admired her passion for her subject.
What I personally love: Growing plants, flowers, fruit and veg from seed, painting them then turning them into illustrations, patterns and designs for various uses. I also love hanging out with animals and talking to them in high pitched voices lol. I also like seeing animals and people with interesting body proportions and drawing them, ie extremely round plump bodies with tiny little skinny legs.

I dont need validation I just want them to understand why something should or needs to be done. It's like some people are BEYOND disconnected to the issue, and they are the ones who have the power to fix it ie... DOCTORS.

Scott, I remember coming across your channel when it was called Depression to Expression in 2017 when I had severe anxiety where it was controlling my life. Your videos helped me in that time a lot when I was going through depression and anxiety. I haven't watched your channel in years but I was searching today for videos discussing anxiety and your video came up. It's good to see your videos again. They really help me a lot.

I always do that ,waiting validation from others and I'm very lost now , I lost my best friend I try to accept my life without friends I failed my exams in biological sciences for the second time I didn't get my diploma I realised that I don't now who I'm I want to start my life again and to choose what I really like i regret all this time what I even lost , I'm sorry if I make some mistakes because my English is not very good but I try to improve it you talking slowly I can understand what you say before I didn't have opportunity to follow english channels because I'm from Morroco and our second language is French thanks for helping people

It consisted of Errol Flynn, Nat King Cole, Mickey Rooney, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Joey Bishop and others. Honestly I m at crossroads
I had one depressive episode 3 years ago due to health anxiety.. then I have been doing ok but i developed anxiety without me realising it..
Then last April I got that same feeling one day which felt like a shock and followed by an emptiness but still I can do all the things i can laugh at jokes but I m trying to understand if it's really depresion or anxiety?
as a gay man I have to find peace that some people will see me as the villain in their story. And that is fine. It’s not my place to convince others of my worth ❤
