How to measure your bra size

Please note that if someone's ribcage is small (32 or less) add 2 to 4 inches to get the band size. If their ribcage is medium (34 to 38) add 0 to 2 inches. If they are larger, don't add anything. Then the lady should go to the dressing room with both band sizes as sister sizes. The model should try 32C and 34B. Check cup fit after deciding if the band is right.

All I know is that I’m wearing a Medium, I wear sports bras which come in small, medium, large, XL (etc) at least the ones I wear are 🤷‍♀️

I normally wear an A - B cups, my girls are small. There is no where I am a DD, this is quite odd.

You're supposed to subtract the calculated band size, not the band size before calculation. The model should be a 34AA

If I did it your way, it puts me at an A cup and I usually wear D. The other way puts me at DDD which is also bigger than my usual. Maybe there is no way to actually calculate it using a tape measure.

Why do you need to add 4" or 5" to the underbust measurement? The band should fit snugly, so adding inches does not make sense.

It's an industry problem. The "add 4" came from days when undergarments were not stretchy and were more structured. She posted a chart at 0.20 of her video which shows how much to add

Wow...that's pretty random sizing. You say you want an even number, but the measurement on the band size can already be even. Then you could add 1 or 2 if it isn't and come up with an even number. You throw out 4 without any rhyme or reason to get get to an even number. Not helpful. Sorry.

yes all sizes are ok. It's up to the bra to fit you, not for you to fit the bras. Try sports bras. Or try 32A or 34AA

Make sure you pull the tape tight for your ribcage measurement and then try band sizes that are the same as your measurement. Example if you measure 42, try 42. Look at the chart on 0.20 of this video

Try 28A or 30A (unless you can find AA). Check to see which band size you like. It should be snug. Then check the cup fit. Also check stores which cater to teens/youth
