These turned out perfectly! I used water and almond milk. I did add a good tablespoon of chia seeds. They sat out overnight and were perfect in the morning. I put the pot in the fridge and dished up a bowl to take to work everyday. They literally lasted me five days.

I made it exactly as you said, using “carbmaster” vanilla milk from Kroger. The oats were so sweet, we didn’t add ANY extra sweetener, just cinnamon, pecans, and berries. Delish! Thanks ever so much!! ❤️

I just would like to thank you for the best oats I have ever eaten! First, I’ve tried overnight oats twice in my crock pot. What a disaster! They stick, and dry out. You method works to perfection. I’m going to try everything, up to the point of leaving it out overnight, but instead place the cooled oatmeal in the fridge. Thanks! So much!! ❤️

I am wondering if I could put plastic wrap over a muffin tin, spoon the overnight oats into the cups, cover with plastic wrap,, wrap it in foil to keep it from freezer burning, and put the whole thing into the freezer and take each individual cup out. I wonder if the serving size would be accurate. Then I could just thaw it out or heat it up and put whatever topping I wanted on it. I know I can put it in individual plastic containers, but I don’t have any of those right now and I do have a muffin tin.

      Hi ladies,
It might not have harmed you in your experience but that does't mean it would not harm someone else. Everyone's bodies are different and process foods (with bacteria) differently. I for example, can eat leftovers left out and not get a stomach ache or side effects at all, while I know others who will get sick and end up in the bathroom the rest of the day. Other factors to consider are the temperatures globally of where all people seeing this video live. Not everyone will warm up the milk to the degree it is considered safe. And with all due respect making yogurt and making oatmeal with milk to leave overnight is completely a different process and also requires refrigeration/ added bacteria/ incubation/ etc.- even at the simplest of recipes.
As I said, I think the recipes look delicious and I really enjoy her videos. My comment is to bring light to those that are not informed. Might not apply to you but can apply to others. Have a wonderful day!

Thank you very much for the recipe 😊
But could you please tell me that why didn't I got good results when I used only milk without water
When I opened it in the morning, I saw that the oats and the milk were still separated as at night...😭 Just the oats were turned soft...
Other than that nothing happened like that soft and creamy as in the video 😔

You're so welcome! Sometimes you just need to give it another stir in the morning to get rid of the separation. What kind of milk did you use?

After countless videos, I think I’m just gonna accept the fact that the rest of the world loves oatmeal soup. Which I find disgusting. So. I’m gonna go ahead and try overnighting these with 1:1 liquid-oats ratio with room temp/cool liquid and see what happens.

It’s 4:1 liquid oats according to the video; did 1:1 work for you?

She had perfectly health steel cut oats and then poured buckets of sugar on them, defeating the purpose. Soaking overnight in hot liquid is the way to go though.

Here is how to make overnight oats. Cook oats as normal and refrigerate LMAO

  • @briancoleridge
    @briancoleridge 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

One step missing: soak oats with water and lemon juice or vinegar overnight to neutralize anti nutrients and phytic acid present in oats. Otherwise is less digestive and the anti nutrients don’t let your body absorb other minerals and nutrients in your food.

I don't add that sugary nonsense . Just steel cut oats mixed with slices of apple, banana, blueberry, almonds, walnuts, chia, flax and hemp seed, Plain greek yoghurt everything mixed together. Don't spoil the healthy food by adding honey and other flaovrings.

The phrase is a "hands-on approach", there is no "hands off" approach. Good to see colloquialisms can still stump. Otherwise cute.
