Truly one of the better K I t s from the mueller Era. The exhaust, it is not cut outs.It is a Cross over pipe. Thank you for the unboxing for people that do not know about this
Great video Luka! You know, I had a hunch this kit was something special. A few years ago I was given a gigantic parts box from an older modeler who is really into building Chevies. The parts box had a couple of these kit boxes in it and a bunch of parts from what I assumed was this kit, including a couple frets of the photo etch. I'd almost bet I could build a complete one of these from the parts in the parts box. Tri-Fives really aren't my thing, but this video has me now wanting to build one of these. Oh, and to answer your question "Who wants a back seat?" Every teenager in the 60s and 70s who has this for their first car, that's who!
I’m not a big fan of ‘80s-‘90s hot rods, I prefer pre-1970 subjects. This kit does look good to me for kit bashing, in fact, I have one just for that. I would consider a strictly-stock version of this Bel Air kit.
Really great 57 Chevy kits, I built the Street Machine version on my channel around a year and a half ago and showed my subscribers those two very nice kits.. Glad someone is showing everyone else 😎👍🇺🇸
4:59 RC2 Corp. didn’t buy Ertl until 1999. That kit came out in 1998 and was produced by AMT/Ertl during that revolutionary “‘90s kit” era along with many other model car subjects that we appreciate today.
Great video. As a life long hater (for lack of a better term) of the 57 Chevy, i gave this kit to my daughter. She built it and then it got broken after a wreck on Shelf St. She gave it to me and I parted it out. I imagine I still have most of the parts if not all to this kit. I had no idea of the uniqueness of this kit. If I had I might have treated it differently. Thanks for the education. Tiffany/Dirt Road Cinderella
You are right on about this AMT Belair kit. One of the best detailed kits ever. I didn't realize they reissued this tool in the 20teens. I thought all the reissued kits were the 63 tool. I'll have to look closer at the shows and pick up another one.
Looking at the box alone you'd never guess the custom parts were so plentiful and so nice! The chassis frame and floor pan are particularly impressive, and I like that it comes with the wiring material and the diagram showing how to do it. Another feature I liked about the AMT kits from this era is that they came with a full list of interior and exterior paint colors, but given this one is a custom I guess that isn't relevant here. The wheels look a bit dinky, though, unlike the ones in Revell's newest release, but it was the 1990s after all.
Im on the hunt for it now....Never knew it had so many great parts and such a detailed kit!! Heading to NNL East this weekend... I wish they would do a 55 with this much detail...
Thats really cool, Luka. Thanks for sharing. Ive always wondered why they dont show as much as possible on the boxes. Almost like the artist did it on a friday and it was 4:45 and had to get it out.
I love the Lukas kits series, you learn so much about the heritage of the kits! I got this one tucked away for the same reason you do...gonna make a super stocker out of it , thanks again ! 😁😁
Thanks for the inspiration Luka! I have both 57 Bel Air kits , this one and the pro shop kit on the way in the mail! Can't wait to get some posts of my idea I have for both. I'm thinking one full drag car and the other a street machine maybe with a 3D engine in it!
Thanks LC! This kit was one of the only kits I built in college on a break. I wanted to get another one for YEARS until I picked a couple of them a few years ago. I’ve been wanting to do one again, I’m just trying to nail down the wheels and color. Thanks for sharing this! It is indeed a “sleeper” kit. ✌🏽😎👍🏾
6:01 Looks like you misspoked, Luka. The Revell ‘57 Chevy 2-door post kit is not a “Two-Ten”, it is a Bel Air 2-door (post) sedan. (I just bought the latest one yesterday). You may have confused it with the Revell ‘56 Chevy Two-Ten Delray 2-door post sedan kit.
Damn. Jason and I will both be looking for one of those kits. So much came out between ‘95 and ‘20 while life distracted me from the things that really matter. Thanks for sharing.
Wow what a killer kit hand's down the best 57 out there, but as you said there not that easy to find and there not cheap .Enjoyed looking forward to the next video
Hadn’t seen one for a while. After watching this I went to EBay. Found the only one on EBay Uk . Seller offered me money off so I bought it. Thanks Luka.
I found 2 of the stock versions of this kit on close out at Toys R Us for $3.33 way back when. Both were stock, but one was the "Ultimate" with the photoetch. I just recently built the standard kit and won't come off the other one for anything. Too bad they didn't have this street machine too.
Pretty sure you resin casted that intake years ago, bought one off your website back in the early 2000s for a corvette drag car build. This kit reminds me alot of the AMT 57 corvette street machine, they shared some engine parts, too bad they never put this intake and level of detail in the corvette kit though. AMT definitely dropped the ball on this kit..I think if they would have went the "pro street" route and used some traditional 15" drag race type wheels and put some nice headers in the kit they could have knocked it out of the park.
Great video Lukas... unfortunately I got 2 of these kits😂😂😜 sooooo many options on this one... I'm going going gasser style since the fenders are already have cutouts in them. And the other I plan on doing just box version with a different MORE aggressive looking wheel and tire package instead. The vette wheels just don't do it for me
I Watched Your Previous Video Of This Kit & Now I've Obtained 3 So Far. Definitely a " BITCHEN " Kit. Thanks For The " Head's-Up " Buddy 👍👍👍👍 GBA 🙏🤗 Gary.
These 57 kits seem to just get slammed on for some reason (a lot of guys say the proportions are a little goofy, they're kinda correct.) But it's still one of my favorite kits, and that rear suspension and mini tub frame/floor section has found its way into several of my builds. I'm actually currently working on putting that rear end into the Revell LX Mustang drag car along with a twin turbo LS engine and scratch building a full modern 25.3 spec cage with a funny car cage. Doing a full on modern outlaw 10.5/RvW car.
The box art on this kit was really deceiving. It just looks like a 57 with Corvette wheels. I found out about this kit a year or so ago, but wish I had bought some when they were out. Thanks for sharing.
If they would've put the right wheels and tires that kit would have sold better I have 2 of those kits I'm using the wheels from the 70 Baldwin motion camaro rear tires from the revell Henry j

😆 to that last part, Chris! Now You've GOTTA build one.
Can't go wrong with a '57 Chevy! 🤜🤛
Especially this one!

It is a sweet kit & it would make for a great looking S/S drag car.
Definitely!

Nice kit. Thanks for sharing 😊
You’re welcome
I’m driving down , from Ontario Canada , to NNL East ... first time going ... about a 7/8 hour drive , not bad
Enjoy yourself. I wish I could be there.

Nice kit looks like some awesome details an thanks for sharing Luka Cee
Looks like an awesome kit. I'll be on the hunt for at least one of them!
Luka, some told me about a 57 chevy kit that had a tubed rear end. Did not know what one had it. Thanks for sharing this, Awesome video.
Glad I could help! Now you know.
Love to see it built

Yes - if they brought back the Nomad wagon set up like this I'd definitely buy it!
Very cool kit! Thank you Luka!
My pleasure!

Nice job Thanks foo sharing
Thanks for watching!
This has always been one of my favorite kits. I hope Round 2 has these molds & we see it again.
I would think that they do. As they have put out the stock version several times.
Thanks LC! This kit was one of the only kits I built in college on a break. I wanted to get another one for YEARS until I picked a couple of them a few years ago. I’ve been wanting to do one again, I’m just trying to nail down the wheels and color.

This kit IS a sleeper. 😆
Nice look at the kit. I can’t believe it has a big block engine in it. I just assumed another ‘57 Chevy with a 350. Thanks for sharing.
Never judge a kit by its boxart. 😁
@@TheLukaCeeChannel Definitely not.
6:01 Looks like you misspoked, Luka.
The Revell ‘57 Chevy 2-door post kit is not a “Two-Ten”, it is a Bel Air 2-door (post) sedan. (I just bought the latest one yesterday).
You may have confused it with the Revell ‘56 Chevy Two-Ten Delray 2-door post sedan kit.
nothin like a super stock 57 did one w/strait axle front want to do another 😁🤩thx for showing this one scooter d😎
RC2 did really a couple of great kits during their time!Duster 340,62 Catalina,68,69 Roadrunner +GTX+Pro Street and more!
Wish I had purchased that kit.
That kit might be a good start for a Project X / Hollywood Knights build.
You need to start with the new R e v e l l fifty seven chevy because this is not a post K I t
Would like to see this one released again, with the photo-etch to go with it. Hope to see you get it built soon.
Damn. Jason and I will both be looking for one of those kits. So much came out between ‘95 and ‘20 while life distracted me from the things that really matter. Thanks for sharing.
It's a cool one. Now you two don't fight over it.
@@TheLukaCeeChannel Jason has one coming to him and thanks to Chris Martin o snagged an open but complete kit for only $20.

Great video, Matt!! I have one in my stash, and didn't even know what's in the box 😳🤣✌️😁
How cool
That frame could be a nice start to a 70s Era Modified or Late Model...

@@TheLukaCeeChannel Easy gasser tip . Fit the Badman front axle to this kit.Fenderwell headers and some wheels you’re done .

Yes. I did cast it.
FYI most GM rear ends had removable gear carrier like the Fords when they changed from the Salisbury rear end. It was used from 1955 till 1964

The monogram heavy Chevy chevelle slicks perfect size for those wheel wells.
I bet that they are.
Monster hobbies model car garage did a open box video on this kit, that made me get one
I find these videos extremely interesting… thanks for posting it. PS - just purchased one on eBay for a reasonable price :-)
Thank you for that.😁
HOLY MOLY, lol that is a cool kit!!!
I told ya!
I would like to find this kit myself. My current build is the stock 57 you pictured in the video.
Also Snap kit version
Nice kit could make a nice gasser

That's too bad.I sold 6 of those not that long ago. I didn't figure they were much different from the pink '57. I have 3 of those too
Had a couple of those throughout the years and never finished them......I'm an idiot......LOL!

Had a few of those Revell kits. They're a real turd...... LOL!

I have a lot of 57 Chevy Chevy s but looking for a 4 door
I have the 57 Bel Air Car Culture Series. Is that the same ?
No. This kit is only of a kind.
Is it just me or do the wheels in this kit look like 1996 corvette Zr1 wheels ?
It's not just you.😀
If they would've put the right wheels and tires that kit would have sold better I have 2 of those kits I'm using the wheels from the 70 Baldwin motion camaro rear tires from the revell Henry j
Immediately all sold off ebay today lol..
I know the wheels turned me off to this kit. That’s just me though.
