Well done you! It's disgusting the way they manipulate the cost - for suitcases. for picking your seat, for leg room, etc etc et. I have done the same! only talking an under the seat bag! It's a great feeling to take a flight costing 64 pounds for a round trip to Paris for example! Everyone needs to do it and vote with our wallets!
Honestly I think I’d rather pay less and have a smaller bag anyway, half the time I don’t even use what is in there 😂

Actually other people paying for the overhead cabin back are subsidising your trip. In this way most flights from the UK to for example Spain can be under £200 return
At least you won’t have the anxiety of waiting around for your bag to arrive. That’s always a fear of mine. My friends case ended up going awol. She got it back 3 weeks after she arrived home from her 1 week holiday 🙄

I used to work for Tripp luggage honestly I sold so many bag to people for cabin as you can fit so much more usually especially in a less rigid structure 🎉👏😄💖

I think duffel bags etc are so much easier for cabin for that exact reason!
My son travels a lot from Ireland to the UK and back he flys with Ryanair and he's aloud one bag / case on the plane he usally brings a caban case. But a second bag even hand luggage you are charged another €60.
But i've used air lingus a few times over the last 16 months , to Spain, Portugal, UK, and France and i can put a cabin case through and bring hand luggage on the plane with me at no extra charge. All is included in the flight prices.
I think my carrier on bag is same as yours.

We got through perfectly fine, no issues! I think everyone on tiktok likes to scare others into not being allowed through BUT I also think they're using bags which aren't the right dimensions or also bringing other bags lol

pretty sure it's cheaper to buy towels on the spot rather than paying the luggage fee
