    The GivEnergy Hybrid AIO is supposed to be available for installation in Q1 2025, and officially launched in the next month or two.

      Interesting. Would you be replacing your existing AIO or adding this one on? I don't know if you can have both - they may not be compatible, like with the Powerwalls.

    The thing is with the Tesla I trust them to actually release the DC expansion modules etc, Givenergy still haven't allowed multiple gen1 all in ones to be connected, as they have promised for years.

    Hi great informative video. I would like to see this type of comparison between the giv energy and their Cheaper brand polar. This would help people who can't quite afford the top of the range equipment but would still like to able to get some sort of system.

    Can the new GE all in one be added to two GE batteries , 9.5 and 8.2 ? I also have the 3.6 invertor which i would like the hybrid to replace . Thanks , great video

      I'm afraid that you can't mix and match the hybrid series with the all in one series. The two batteries can't talk to each other so will see each other as loads and keep trying to charge each other up. Powerwall 3 and Powerwall 2 have the same issue. There are some apps being developed to bridge these gaps so the functionality may come in the near future.

    I thought the PW3 had 2 inputs per MPPT channel, ie 6 total inputs, no?

    • @spiritenergy_uk
      @spiritenergy_uk  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The Powerwall 3 can take 3 DC inputs - 3 MPPTs.
      The American Powerwall 3 has 6 solar strings.

      Sorry to doubt you, but are you really, really sure. The guy doing mine in 2 weeks time has designed the stringing for 6 inputs total and swears blind he’s right. 3 MPPTs channels with 2 inputs into each, ie 6 strings. If he’s wrong then the design diagram in the G99 submission is also wrong then. I don’t know either way, but it doesn’t fill me with confidence if he’s wrong.

    • @spiritenergy_uk
      @spiritenergy_uk  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Sorry, I've misunderstood your question. You can have multiple inputs into one MPPT, yes.
      It has 3 MPPTs, but can take multiple inputs. This should be fine if the panels are the same orientation, pitch, and no shade losses - otherwise I'd caution against it as it'll be quite inefficient depending on the level of discrepancy between the arrays.
      My apologies.
      Thanks,

      @@yp77738yp77739 My recently installed PW3 has 3 inputs. You can see that the connections would allow for 6 BUT only 3 are available. I think this is because the UK PW3 have a big MPPT isolator switch installed, which can only handle 3 circuits, and of course some electronics costs will have been saved. I have not seen the input isolator in photographs of the US versions, your installer maybe looking at US installation instructions as opposed to the UK ones. I seriously think you need to get him to double check if you want 6 SEPARATE DC inputs.

      Hi, thanks for the comment. It can’t charge at 12 kW. It can output 12kW to the house, but the battery can only charge at 6kW.
      That’s what we’ve been told by GivEnergy at least.

    Sigenergy makes these two all in ones look like they are from the stone age?
    Up to 12kW Hybrid single phase, 25kW 3-Phase, Instantaneous whole house backup for both single and 3-Phase via gateway, up to 48kWh per inverter, multiple inverters supported, 25kW DC EV charger, vehicle to grid......Givenergy All-in -one requires you to buy multiple all-in-ones, no battery options, same with Tesla until 'Powerpacks' are released in the future... No 3-Phase backup on Giv or Tesla? Tesla can only charge at 5kW from grid, not great if you have a short off peak window and require more than 13.5kWh of storage.....
