Hello guys, and welcome back to Car Obsession. Thanks for dropping in on my install video of the Revo Induction kit for the 2.0 litre TFSI engine. I'd love to hear your feedback if you've installed this kit and I'd also love to hear what you guys think of the improved sound.
Other than performance gain and sound improvement you also get rid of the giant plastic cover which makes it easier to spot leaks/other problems and less time consuming to fix said issues.
I can well imagine myself in that situation. i don't like being beaten but i can see how frustrating that situation is. That jubilee clip thing over the main intake hose came off in my car and it was a mare to get back on. A shame we didn't see how your friend did the install as this is what the video is all about. car sounds great btw. my turn now.
To be fair, you wouldn't have really seen what he did as it was a dark crevice. Honestly he did what I pretty much did but with him having more experience he had more of a 'knack' if that makes sense. Thanks for watching Mark.
@@CarObsession I found a cupra fsi with a very reasonable price. The TFSI versions cost 6 k more than the fsi i found. So I dont think the cost effectiveness would be that beneficial. But I thank you for the reply and insight!
yo mate, great video :) looking forward to doing this to my k1 one day soon! Any chance you can remember where you got your front black honeycomb grille from? looks awesome
Hi there, thanks for watching! I got the grille here: seatdirectparts.co.uk/parts/leon-cupra/cupra-2006-2012/body-trims-cupra-2006-2012/seat-front-grille-for-leon-linea-r/
Pain in the ass but worth. My friend already had a revo one on his mk2 cupra r but was different. He didn't fit it on so don't know what it was like to put on
Do you think your Cupra is faster than the GR or Puma? Thanks for the videos.. I have the same car and year as you 👍 I have the Revo kit plus a dump valve kit.. love the sounds it makes.
Puma, yes, as Leo has 125hp more, and about the same difference in torque. In fact Leo is faster than the Puma in stock form. The GR Yaris? Well, Leo has more power, and the top speed is higher, but the Yaris can do 62 in just 5.5 seconds and I'm not sure Leo would be able to put the power down effectively enough to beat that. Thanks for watching 👍🏽.
I actually normally do, but it's starting to get to the point where I feel like I'm hoarding 😅. I actually had to clear some stuff out of garage yesterday. Thanks for watching 👍🏽.
@@CarObsession i Will try to explain it but i dont speak very Well English... When you put a new air intake like the one that you put, you have more air in your engine. That means that your air - fuel ratio has changed... You need to communicate again with the man that remaped your car. Propably you need more fuel and of course you Will have more power... I have the same car (2010) and i was having the same conversation with the man that remaped my car... He told me exactly " first you put the New exchaust and air intake and then you come for remapping"...

Have the same engine on my Scirocco R so this video helped 👍
PS : All you needed to make the job much easier was a 7£ hose clamp pliers 😂

Does anyone know what the part name is at 1:50 , mines got a big gaping hole in, but I'm struggling to source a replacement.
It's an air intake pipe. I've got an old one I can give you but it's cosmetically damaged.
@@CarObsession I can message you a picture of the part of mine that's damaged and take it from there if you want.

Hi sir! I also have leon cupra mk2 2008 and my turbo is also as you K04.. can i ask you the joiner pipe you show on 7:53 is included on the kit?
Hi Diamantis, yes it is, thanks for watching.
@@CarObsession Thank you too for the fast answer! I think i will place my order to buy the kit from Demon-Tweeks.
Would it be possible to install a turbo onto the FSI version of this engine?
No idea, but I would have it would be more cost effective to get a car already fitted with a TFSI. Thanks for watching.

@@alphahuntz2924 If it's a Cupra than it will turbocharged from factory.
Which turbo does that cupra have? K03 or K04 🤔, because seems like induction kit depends of the turbo type
K04, the induction kit fitted is correct for the car/engine. Thanks for watching
The DX lorry 👌

LOL. you do need a full kit to do stuff on anything nowadays
Have you got a link for the induction kit?
It's the video description my friend 👍🏽. Thanks for watching.
Those hose clamps are easy with the proper tool , it might even benefit from a tune up now it's getting more air.👍
Yeah, that's not a bad shout. Thanks for watching 👍🏽.
Will not need a tune up the ecu will adapt for the extra air
Ditto mate, modern ECU's adapt and self learn new parameters, won't benefit you at all getting the tune modified again
Was wondering when you was going to get one. Love the induction noise.
What would really help would be a how-to video by Revo themselves
Agreed!

Yes, it felt a bit more responsive 👍🏽
