There is a genuine passion for the franchise that you feel, that most devs lack. Especially when they speak of remembering their days simply as players and fans of Street Fighter. I really believe they created something special with SF6.
Imagine one of these great, passionate guys having to work for Bobby Kotick, it makes me sick to even think about.
I definitely agree, though the cynic in me can't help but remember how hyped I was listening to the devlopers of Halo Infinite talk about their passion for the project, only for the game to fall on its face right out of the gate, followed by the resignation of 80% of the people who were a part of that early developer-hype video lol. I feel a lot more confident about SF6 though!
A lot of care and effort the characters feel very human they have likes and dislikes and something as small as that goes a long way. It builds a connection they obviously care about street fighter and when devs care I as a player care too. I really agree with what you’re saying.
Um, hello? Platnium Games? Namco? FromSoftware? Have you done your homework lately? Capcom isn't the only dev making magic happen, ESPECIALLY to this day.

I was never a huge fan of street fighter as a game, but I always liked the characters and stories. You're not just attracting a young audience, even old heads like me who have been playing fighting games for decades may love this game. And it wasn't the world tour mode that did it for me, it was playing the closed/open betas and loving the gameplay feel.

@@terry.1428 Matter of fact, It's hard to beat 2 Super Turbo, Alpha 2, Ultra 4 and/or Third Strike. But they're doing just that!
Lotta people think of fighting games as technical but this shows there is an emotional, human aspect to the job and what fans enjoy about it.

I've never been much of a fighting game player, just dabbled a bit with MK9 back in 2011, but this game truly hit all the right spots for me. The art style, the music, the characters it simply just "clicked" for me. I played the beta through the entire weekend with a friend of mine that plays KOF and i've never had this much fun since playing SSB for the first time as a child. I'm getting it day one for sure and will sink hours into it no doubt.
Interesting what Nakayama said about wanting more diversity from countries around the world as well as increasing the ratio of women. I wouldn’t be surprised if both of those are factors in future seasons of DLC, especially since both Africa & Australia lack characters in the roster.
I'm honestly surprised they still haven't introduced a new Southeast Asian character into the roster with how rich in martial arts the countries are in SEA.
@Soviet Marmalade Yeah, like a Filipino Eskrima fighter. They do have Thailand fighters with Sagat and Adon. But they should add an Indonesian for Silat and one from Myanmar for Lethwei.
@@SovietMarmalade Sagat and Adon are Southeast Asian (Thai). But yeah, would love to see more SEA characters/martial arts in the roster.
@@SovietMarmalade To add to that, we haven’t gotten a playable South Asian character since Dhalsim. There are a lot of gaps for SF6 to cover.

Man these devs are so passionate, it's so awesome to see how much hard work and love was poured into this game.
This game can't come out fast enough, got a week left and I can't wait, I just wanna play SF6. I've not been this hyped over a fighting game for as long as I can remember.
This game will be ground breaking. I'm really glad they put the work in and that it's coming out prior to Tekken 8 and Mortal Kombat 1 as they've gone balls out with SF6 and I'm hoping it will inspire the rest. ^_^
I wonder how Tekken 8 is gonna be like. Since we already know that Sf6 single player content shares traits from Mk so we know MK1 would also go all in with their content but I'm really curious to see Tekken's
I don't dislike Ono-San AT ALL, and people like to scapegoat him for stuff he probably had no control over. But, if SF has to be in the hands of someone new, I am absolutely ecstatic that these guys were the ones to pick up the reins.
IDK how anyone could genuinely hate Ono. It’s not all been peaches & daisies, but he brought the series back from the grave pretty much. Younger players might take it for granted, but it’s wild to know in hindsight we could go almost 10 years without a SF game.

in this one I can unconditinally agree with you. He scored perfectly the sf4 concept, but capcom went full retard with the e-sports thing. Even if sf5 had good ideas behind, devs didnt had the chance., Ono lost to executives.
Sometimes a project needs to be handed down to a younger generation. Since these younger guys experienced the ups and downs first-hand, they were able to learn from their elders and take the next step forward.
The quality and aesthetic of the video and the passion and love of the creators towards this beautiful IP go hand in hand and make this video something so inspiring and out of the world experience.
This video was actually insanely interesting and kind of heartwarming too

I think we can all understand and appreciate the love and care these guys have put in to this new game, but in 6-7 years when SF6 is coming to an end and is truly recognized as a masterpiece I'll come back to this video and watch it in a new light.

These guys are legitimately awesome producers man. It's so great to see their enthusiasm for street fighter bleed into the game. It so evident. They've hit on something special and they know it, they value it, and they want us to support it and keep it going.

I am so glad they go that route now, i always left fighting games on the side because i wasnt interested in a game where i can only do fights over and over again. But when i saw SF6 has an open world mode and character creation and stuff i was immediately interested and so it became my gate into the Fighting Games genre
11:55 - I like that this game and its developers seem to recognize that these characters are just that, *characters*, and not just power sets to slam together (not that there's anything wrong with that aspect).
While listening there process into making SF6 I would understand as to what they're accomplishing here. A well diverse of characters from all different parts of the world with unique fighting styles and personalities to explore with. And as a fan I do hope they continued with that for I would love to see what more ideas they'll bring also to continued the story of Street Fighter for the future yet to come. But as of now I am excited to see what more features and possible dlc characters are yet to come in SF6 cause I'm hoping to see the variety characters to expand more with returning faces like Hakan,Elena,Adon,Menat & Necalli if they ever decided to bring them back.
since a new character is a lot more effort I wouldn't be surprised if they follow the dlc 1 pack trend of 3 returning and 1 new character.

I think what I’m going to love about this game the most is not only would I talk about this in discussions with fellow FGC members, but the fact that I can potentially talk about this in conversations with friends on games like Yakuza, or Def Jam: Fight for New York, or any game with prominent single player content.

I really like they came back to hip-hop style, I loved SF4 but honestly didn't look so good with so many silly and funny characters all over the stages.

I really hope they get to continue working on Street Fighter in the future. I do hope their next game will be a collaboration with SNK to make a new Capcom Vs. SNK. Anyhow, being 42 playing the Betas & Demo this is probably becoming the best Street Fighter ever. I can't remember having this much enjoyment playing a Street Fighter Game. Alpha 3 Upper is my favorite Street Fighter Game. I think 6 has already passed that for me. This game feels amazing & I can't wait for June to come.

I swear, these guys have put some serious blood, sweat, and tears into making this an experience that everyone can enjoy. Street Fighter 6 seriously has the potential at this point to be the best in the franchise.

I’m in tears at how amazing this SF is personally I haven’t played SF since I was 8 hadn’t been able to play a lot of games due to the complex circumstances of my up bringing but since I became an adult I’m finally able to have access and experience with games I couldn’t growing 2023 is a wild year so many good a undoubtedly rememberable games are coming out this year I feel like we’re being hit left and right with so many great works of art and dedication that being produced. Finally this year in gaming has shown me hope for the future and it’s astonishing seeing how much I feel the personality of passion is actually being displayed in ways I haven’t seen in a very long time. A lot of what’s added to this game is nothing iv seen ever done in a fighting game specifically and I love how expansive it is. I might not be able to play this game due to not being able to afford anything due to my current circumstances but I’m definitely excited to watch others play and engage with everything SF6 has to offer, plus it’s so beautiful made and it looks like it’s more then just a game it’s playing with a work of art full on ART! I love it I love I love it and need more of it.

As a huge Streets of Rage and SF3 fan I love the hip hop and club music direction of the game. Streets of Rage was the first and one of the only real times that urban/street music was really the part of a fighting style game. Glad the devs can see this can work for SF as well.

A game that has passion in it , so rare
One of my critiques is that you should've got Timbaland and other music makers that's actually hip hop to make some of the music. Just my opinion. You can't say your about adversity without representing that with the people making the game

Street Fighter has always been the big fighting game all others look up upon and if SF does well all other fighters do too. I hope 6 will be as fun and enjoyable to play on and offline as we anticipate on.

There’s so much love going into this title.
I absolutely loved this. They have a clear passion for SF and are always thinking of making SF better as a whole. After their explanation I realize World Tour is a great idea for those players who find it too difficult to play versus but still want to be immersed in the SF world. It brings in a larger audience and also a different way to experience SF. Eventually it could make them comfortable enough to try their hand as versus too 👍🏿

one thing I really wanted is for opponents to break their clothes (like soul calibur) which gives a touch of customization. as an example, the manon who would lose her kimon if she used level 3 or took too much damage 8:44
Between this and Final Fantasy 16, devs have been absolutely killing it. 2023 is one of the best years in gaming in the last 30 years.
