    I enjoyed the presentation, but you miss a key feature of this keyboard, it is an arranger keyboard. If you press the ACMP button you get an entire accompaniment with drums, chords and bass in every style with a 2 variations. If you don’t press it, will sound like a drum machine like I heard in the video. The difference for a beginner is you get the effect of an entire band that follow your harmony that you specify with the chords that you are playing. I discovered this only because my music teacher told me, I wasn’t aware of it, and this opened me a new addicted world of arrangers 😊

    Just watched your post year update and came here for this original review. What are. your thoughts on the EZ300? Is there any aspect. of build or sound that suffers on the EZ300, like the feel of keys, or piano sounds or drum beats or those other features you mentioned (layered sounds, splits) and do you think the speakers and connectivity are the same. I wonder if there are learning features ON BOARD with the psr e373 as there are on the lighted ez300. Would love to know if they are the same in build / quality/ features and which you'd recommend. THANKS for your thoughts. SUCH GREAT INFORMATIVE videos; TY !

      Hi, Thanks for the positive feedback. The keys do not feel like a digital piano as they are not full-size keys. They do feel nice to play and do not have a "spongy" feel that other keyboards in this price range have.

    They keys are narrower than the keys of piano, right? It seems most keyboards have narrower keys. So each octave on a keyboard is 5mm or 6mm shorter comparing with that of a piano.

    • @thehitmusicstudio
      @thehitmusicstudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I believe what you are referring to is if the piano can do what a sequencer does. I do not believe this keyboard is capable of doing that. You can record 2 tracks but they would play one time without looping. So yes you can play piano on track 1 and on track 2 play bass but the adding elements doesn't happen on the fly. Let me know if that was what you were referring too.

    As an absolute beginner I am deciding between this and the EZ300 for my 7 year old. Would you say the EZ300 lighted keys are a better bet for a child since everything else is identical to the 373? Thanks

    • @thehitmusicstudio
      @thehitmusicstudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The lights are not that important if you are going to take lessons with a teacher. I personally have seen many students get pretty confused because the lights tell you the key to press but they don’t show you clearly what fingers to use. even more important it is to play them with the correct fingers. Both keyboards do look almost identical otherwise. Hope that helps.

    @Vyacheslav1911 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hello! Thank you for your review. But you didn't say anything about the keys. Please tell me, are the Yamaha PSR-E373 keys more realistic than the Casio CT-X700(800) keys?

    • @thehitmusicstudio
      @thehitmusicstudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi, thanks for the feedback. Casio keys tend to be a bit more "spongy" than Yamaha. The CT-X700 is more expensive and I haven't tried it but I do like the Yamaha action for the 373. I would say it feels very natural and comparable to keyboards that are more expensive. One of the biggest plus is that is touch-sensitive which for us is a must for the keyboards we recommend.

    I’m planning to buy this keyboard to learn to play the piano. I’d like to learn the songs in a hymnal I bought recently. The notes are pretty basic.
    My question- Would a 61 key likely be sufficient for using a hymnal? Is it just 2 octaves missing, one high and one low?

    • @thehitmusicstudio
      @thehitmusicstudio  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes! most hymnals won’t have any notes that would extend past the register of this keyboard. It is missing both an octave and almost a half on the bottom end and one octave on the top range. I almost never play any of those notes on the acoustic piano that I have at home anyway.

  • @ERYInTrance

    I like your video. I’d need some advices, hope you can help me out.
    I do not have any music background. However I can memorize a tune pretty fast. I have been listening to many music genres since 6 (over 20 years now), particularly EDM (Trance, Big Room, and more), classical music (Bach, Mozart, Beethoven etc), instrumental (flute, harp), New Age, and video game music.
    My intention is to get something that can let me: 1) Turn EDM music into piano style.. meaning I play some EDM music I like in piano tunes 2) Turn video game music into piano style 3) Learn to play classical piano music pieces 4) Perhaps create new tunes by trial and error
    Basically I like piano sounds, but also appreciate the many sounds this keyboard has. Should I get a digital piano or a keyboard? I am unsure the differences, and unsure what kind of user I belong to.

    • @thehitmusicstudio
      @thehitmusicstudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your comment. They keyboard is a great option to use it to learn how to play piano. If you are trying to make music by recording and creating parts I think you might be better off investing into some recording program like Garage band. The keyboard has plenty of sounds that would get you started in EDM but in those styles you might need to layer tracks and sounds to get a fuller effect. The E373 does have midi which would be a great addition to recording and making music but I do not think it might be able to do everything that you want to do by itself. My advice would be to start with the keyboard and see if you need more before buying recording software. The keyboard is capable of recording some limited tracks and it does have the auto accompaniment feature which should get you started. Hope that helps

It still sounds better than the 373 even after so many years but I think that difference would remain with keyboards that were intended for more professional use. Especially I continue to see a big difference in the quality and level of the signal in higher-end keyboards as I think they are intended for applications like studio recording and live performances in big setups. It comes down to what are you going to use the keyboard for. To teach and for home personal use really like the 373.

I am a semi-professional singer and hope to gig full-time when I retire from my 9-5 job in 6 months. Would like to eventually play solo gigs with singing, my guitar, and hopefully keys once I get proficient enough. That's why I was on the fence if I should get something like the E373 or EW410 that I may have to replace or go for the gusto with the PSR-SX900 or ??? - Thanks for you advice!

      @thehitmusicstudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WysteriaGuitar The EW410 might be a better fit for what you are trying to do. The arranger keyboard is designed to be able to, on the fly, create high-end rhythmic patterns that would also follow the chords that you play especially with the left hand. They are really well designed to cover lots of styles but if you play guitar you might be better suited by using tracks and just adding the keys that you want live. I would get something to learn how to play like the (EW410 or the 373) and when you get the gigs make a decision then as you might want to get something more specific to the type of gig requirements (space, the weight of the keyboard, etc) So to summarize I think you can always get the arranger keyboard later but to learn it is not necessary especially for what you are trying to do.

      Yes. If you are playing by yourself on with say an acoustic guitar or a singer it is fine. It won't be loud enough to play with a band but it does sound great!

    Do you recommend this or Roland go keys?

    • @thehitmusicstudio
      @thehitmusicstudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I love Roland keyboards and own several of them. The Go Keys and the E273 are not completely comparable as I think the go keys is intended for someone that is more into making tracks, loops and using the instrument to perform. The E273 is more intended in my opinion for a beginner with lots of options to further their skills while the Go Keys seems very suitable for more of an intermediate player. Hope that helps! :)

      They said if there is a Chinese character on the box,be cautious plus the keyboards do not use stickers for the labels.I saw some that are using stickers and not directly written on the piano.The way they copied it was almost spot on,looking at the photos.Yamaha has a website that lists their authorized dealers in every country,so do check the store's names or ask the authorized dealers if they have sub dealers in your country.

      Thank you so much! And yes you c an use an external speaker. You need to use the headphone jack and get an adaptor but it does work. It is not the same quality as a dedicated left and right output but at this price point it works well if you are trying to use it with a bigger PA system.
