    This was very helpful. We're working on GX120s in our class and our teacher isn't super clear on how to change the clearance. He's a little irritable, too, so I can't ask him without getting too nervous. Otherwise, this helped me a lot, thanks! :-)

      Been taking a quick break to see some family. Ever since I joined the Navy, moved to VA then got out of the Navy and became a contractor I haven't seen my family at all...about 11 years. So I'm catching up on time because a lot of them are very old and haven't met my daughter and wife yet. I haven't lost motivation, just taking care of some past due family time.

  • @JOATD

    Hello, thank you for this video! Very informative and awesome! I'm pretty handy but this one has me quite puzzled. I have a Honda GX160 motor and it will not start. I have cleaned the carburetor thoroughly. The spark plug has spark. The filter is clean. It has new gas/oil and the switch is set to on. I sprayed carburetor cleaner in the air filter and it acted like it wanted to start but did not. I took the valve cover off and the right side rocker was not on the push rod. Before I re-positioned the rocker, no gas would go to the spark plug. As soon as the rocker was back in place and I pulled the cord a couple times gas made it's way to the spark plug, but the engine still will not start. The motor sat with no oil for about a year, worked just fine before it sat idle. The only mods I've done to the engine was remove the governor and disable the oil level sensor by unplugging the yellow cord. I would appreciate any of your expertise or advice you have on this issue, thank you in advance for your time.

    • @callanmurphy9807
      @callanmurphy9807 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @JOATD yeh that's good then. I'm just to adjust mine. The engine only runs with the choke on, I've cleaned the carbs, checked the fuel, float and jets, new air filter etc, so that'll be the next option.

    • @JOATD
      @JOATD ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @callanmurphy9807 yeah that would be my next step also. Seems to me that you have already taken care of everything that normally gives you that problem.

    • @callanmurphy9807
      @callanmurphy9807 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @JOATD yeh I thought that much, but I'm winging it from youtube haha. Either that or the fuel mix ratio isn't done correctly and running to much fuel.
